Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present you my version of the Incredible Hulk!
It has all necessary sounds, powers, icons, 4 custom made skins/models (Classic, Original, Professor, Red) and 2 mannequins.
It can be used by anyone as long as credit is given.
Please check the README.txt file before installing this mod.
Thanks to Rasdel for giving me some incentive to start working on this!

Yeah, I have to say I had no idea this one was coming along. Nice job.  Can't use it on the Xbox, but I'm glad to see this on the PC.

As far as I know you can up the mannequin scale using the coding in the herostat files - so just make it the scale you want and it'll be fine :)

In other news, rocking job ;) Not sure if I like this one or the one in the official characters mod more

Ah well what do I know? Maybe in v1.1 he'll up the manaquine size *Shrug*

A shrimpy manaquine is hardly a big price to pay for such a rocking (not to mention much more realistic) skin and model job

Strange you said that, as the mannequin model is already scaled to 130% of its original scale.

I'm fine with the mod. The size seems about right. I also agree, Red Hulk is my favorite skin.

I think the size look alright in the game in my opinion. They look very nice in the game, like ripped right out of a comic book or something!!! :P

EDIT: The face expression of "Classic" looks exactly like the Face-Off Hulk figure from Marvel Legends!!! :hulk_icon:

Actually, I think it is less difficult than it may seem, though I agree that I needed a few years of practice. Basically I just create meshes from simple lines. The most important thing about details of a model is to place them where they would be clearly visible. What you really need is A LOT of patience. I've been making this mod for a month and I must say that texturing + weighting took me about than two weeks.

It depends on how different each skin is, but usually it takes me one month for the first version of a mod.

GREAT WORKS! Only bad thing, can't use the other models, they're too big. I REALLY like Planet Hulk, but now it's GIGANTIC!! And I can't see the mannqeuin behind Colosus...

While Hulk Boots & Hulk Smash, that sounds is from character menu like:
"Hulk lead team!! to victory". That's the problem.

This is not a problem with the mod. Make sure to install it correctly (e.g. overwrite ALL files with the ones in the archive).

We only have 10 sounds to work with, so unless you want to provide new voices we're stuck with what we have.

But... Is there anyway of increasing Hulk's mannequim size?

I've tried to do it on Herostat.engb, but it only increases Hulk size in game.

All right, all right! Some of the mannequins (like the Thing) are really overscaled, so I just did the same to the Hulk. Yep, I repeat, I have just upscaled the mannequin even more!
It's included in the newer version.

Hulk is shorter only because he's hunched in the menu. If given the same pose, he WOULD be taller than Thing, I can tell you that.

Nope, it doesn't open IGB files. You'd need to capture my mannequin with 3D Ripper DX, open the captured scene in 3dsMax and edit it, then export the model using the Alchemy plug-in... Maybe just tell me how much bigger should it be in your opinion and I'll post it here?

You have to change the Hulk's scaling factor in your herostat. 1.3 is the default value.

First I'd like to remake Magneto's models so they are even better than the Hulk and it's going to take some time. We'll see what comes next.

I just got time to actually TEST this mod (i had it installed but not played yet since i could find any time)

I must admit it does look small in comparison with other chars but the model itself looks AWESOME...

On the other hand, i am getting 2 bugs...

1st - Somehow... i get "The Professor" as Classic :( (see below)

2nd- Don't know why, but if i use "SMASH" (stong punch) Hulk gets stuck (a.k.a) can't move at all, just stays charging infinitedly.

Gameplay seems slower but i don't think, that's because of the MOD at all... just pointing it out in case anyone else is having the same problems ^^

Anyway, apart from that i haven't found anything else... nothing that ruins gameplay, the smash thing might make thing cluncky sometimes but that's pretty much it...

ALL IN ALL, GREAT MOD! TONS OF FUN!!!

My guess is you didn't replace the Hulk's herostat (scale 1.0) from OC mod with Dark_Mark's herostat (scale 1.3). He looks big on mine.

So, did you start a new game?

He's even taller than Daredevil, one of those characters (at scale 1.0) who actually stands up straight:

Yeap... i did...

Your's looks great (like it should :()

Let's see... this is what i did...

1- Extract all files into my MUA folder
2- De-compiler to open "herostat.engb" (it opens the file as an xml)
3- Edit & save that as "herostat.rasdel.xml"
4- Compile herostat.rasdel.xml
5- Change name of "herostat.rasdel.engb" to "herostat.engb"

At first i didn't rename it... just compile and recompile but it didn't save my "changes"... :(

I don't know what i am doing wrong LOL... I got a "mini-Hulk" XD!!! Still i must admit it's hillarious to see a tiny Hulk stomping through enemies ^^

Well, decompile herostat.engb, check Hulk's entry to see if it's got scale_factor = 1.3. If it does, start a new game with default stats. If it doesn't, add that line.

I edited mine to scale_factor 1.4 - he's bigger than everyone now and looks just like he should.

I still don't see what was wrong with the mannequin to begin with but whatever :P

The only thing I'd suggest is adding a labcoat-sorta thing to Joe Fixit... he's just not the same without one ;)

Sorry for the VERY LATE reply.

About the mannequim size...
at 140% make Hulk TOO big.
He's REALLY TOO BIG.
Could you make it at 132% or 135%, please?

Cause...
At 130% (the actual size) he's still smaller than Thing.
And at 140% (as you oversized it) he's almost doesn't fit on screen.

i downloaded your hulk, and it looks like classic hulk in the character select BUT when you select him to your team he has all this armor and junk on him (yeah i know world war hulk) is the file corrupt or is this the way he is selected? is there a file with the classic hulk that doesnt look like he is running on his knees :) lol

Hey, wanted to congratulate you on the GREAT hulk mod, its superb!  I just wanted to throw in a suggestion here that's sorta related to the discussion.  We keep wanting to increase Hulk's mannequin because he looks smaller than the Thing.  The real problem, in my opinion, is Ben Grimm's mannequin is WAY over sized.  He isn't that bigger than everyone else in game but his mannequin is huge, way out of proportion.   Maybe someone could
make a smaller thing mannequin.

Guys... Hulk IS bigger than Thing - the Mannquin IS bigger than Things. If you alter the coding to place them side by side Hulk is obviously taller.

Though I do agree that the Ben Grimm mannequin is way over-sized... especially since it wasn't his height - but his endurance - that made Thing so dangerous.

First off Dark Mark your mods are sick, they have to to be some of the best post on the site to date. Was wondering if you could help me with a problem I've ran into. When Hulk uses his Fury boost he grows massive so when I try to use his take down move the bad guy is on the ground but Hulk is not standing over him he is like a full body length ahead punching the ground with no one under him :hulk_icon:

Outta curiosity! Did you alter the way Hulk interacts in-game like you did with Magneto? I mean, I had your mod replacing the one from the OCPV4 and turns out all 26 characters where there, but the spot where Hulk was supposed to be (slot 22) he was locked. And yesterday, after I beat Modok, he was unlocked! Actually, even displayed that little window saying "Hulk was unlocked, bla bla bla" just like when Blade or Dr. Strange are unlocked.

What you just found is a feature of Official Characters. Before he was cut from the original game, Hulk was supposed to be unlocked after meeting him in Omega base. Some leftover scripts and conversations were found as a proof of this, but they are incomplete (lack voiceovers for example) and couldn't be used in their current form. Still, because Official Characters tries to be "Official" (i.e. follow the ideas of Raven Software), Hulk was made unlockable after finishing Omega Base.

I know I'm missing something here... but why is Hulk available to me at the beginning of any new game I start?  I'm using the Official Characters Mod V4 too.  I'm thinking that it has something to do with how you set up Heroselect maybe?  (I'm not complaining, just curious.)

I don't think that's my case. I usually add and remove characters by editing decompiled herostat.engb file. After saving the alterations, I recompile it and replace the previous one. Also, my OCPV4 roster used to appear with all 27 characters with Hawkeye in slot 2, Dr. Strange in slot 96 and Hulk in slot 22, pushing Colossus back to slot 26. But a few days back, dunno what I did that the 27th character of the herostat file just won't show unlocked at all.

Did you use the all characters cheat? The number of characters you have unlocked is kept in a separate file, so if you have unlocked a particular character, he will stay unlocked even if you start a new game.

Wow!  You have made me start thinking of some additional questions with your response.  But, no, I haven't knowingly used any type of cheat (other than reading a "walkthrough) in the game.  Here are my questions:

1. If there is an "all character" cheat, is it available for PC and if so, where?

2. What is the name of the file that contains the names/numbers of the characters you have unlocked and where is it located?

3. OK, this is the history of my game playing.  The second time I played the game on a PC (a couple of years ago), I unlocked Black Panther, Daredevil, Blade, Dr. Strange, and Ghost Rider as the game progressed, earned at least a bronze in all the missions (to unlock Silver Surfer) and defeated the game (to unlock Nick Fury).  Of course, I didn't have Hulk (or the other downloadable players).  Since then, I've added mods to the game, including the Official Characters Mod, V4, and I'm using Heroselect to get 27 characters in the game.  All 27 characters are visible from the beginning of the game.  Is this because I was able to unlock all the original 23 characters two years ago?  Does a particular file need to be reset to be able to unlock the characters again?

I really appreciate this site and thank anyone in advance for their replies.

3. Technically what you unlock are character SLOTS. Once you have unlocked a character slot, any character you put in that slot will also be playable. If you wish to start a new game with all the characters locked, simply delete your settings.dat beforehand.

Right now they only differ with one skin (Professor is not a part of the OC pack). Also, the skin order is slightly different (Classic,Original,Professor and Red vs Classic,Original,Red and Joe Fixit in the OC pack). Until any major changes are made to either pack, it all depends on your preference.

Unfortunately, it's a problem with skeleton proportions. This means that it cannot be fixed for these meshes.

His up-to-date Hulk mod should be in the official characters pack anyway, Dark_Mark is the author of the official characters pack.

Yes up-to-date Hulk mod is in the offical characters pack 1.31 but it does not have the proffesor skin and the red hulk skin thanks
