Description:
I realize some people have attempted this in the past to one extent or another, but this is meant to be as straight and true a port of the Gold Edition content to PC - with hopefully the least issues possible. Compared to the existing "Official Characters" pack, I've ensured the sound quality is top notch, ripped straight from Remaster and converted over with care. (This also means additional sounds are included that aren't in the OC Pack!)

Additionally I've ported over the Remastered models for characters like Nightcrawler and the various NPC's that were touched up in that release. This also includes the UI, which is now much closer to what Remaster and 360 use.

Ideally this is best installed to a new (freshly installed) game. This already includes the 33 character hack, rebuilt from the ground up with some minor tweaks and improvements I've made since its initial release. One day it would be nice to see this used as a base for modding - but for now I just hope some people enjoy it. Please provide whatever feedback or bug reports you can here, thanks!

- Fixed a visual error in Valhalla 2 where all of Deadpool's segments were visible at once.

Known Issues:
 
    - Due to the nature of Remaster content, it is recommended you do not use Advanced Lighting.
      While it will still work, the visuals are very likely to take on an obnoxious sheen if enabled.
    - Nightcrawler, Dr. Doom, Magneto, Sabretooth, and Venom suffer an item equipment issue.
      At present anything equipped to them will be equipped to Ms. Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, and Thor.
      It is not recommended at present to equip them with items, if it is at all avoidable.
    - You must currently use the provided settings.dat file to ensure the costumes for the Gold Edition characters are unlocked.
      If you do not do this, their default outfits will most likely remain locked and they were be unable to access their passives.

Interesting... how did you get the Fire Giants at Mephisto4 (or the archers at Bifrost2) to respawn again without ruining the limit? Also, what encounters were lost with Heimdall's code in the previous hack? I'll look at this and update.

You can check the code to see what I did specifically, but Mephisto was just a case of creating two different instances of that fight depending on who you save. To be honest it's just Bifrost 2 that's a problem right now, but this mod is more than just a 33 character hack anyway. The real focus here are the improved remaster models, interface, and sounds. (The Official Character pack uses recorded sounds off a speaker and is missing a lot of them, for example.)

Excellent. So, if I'm reading right, this is the definitive updated version of the Official Char Mod. Sort of like a "Project Base" (ala: Super Metroid) for MUA? Or at the very least, a step in that direction?

That's the goal, exactly. But I would like to see some testing done, make sure all the kinks are worked out.
