X-Men Legends PC - Alpha v2 DEMO

This is by no means finished, but unfortunately due to engine limitations it's unlikely that it ever will be.  The engine for some reason is not removing objects from the last level when it loads a new one (in the memory, that is), so you'll find that after completing a number of levels things will disappear.  Because of that we just can't complete the project.  I've scoured the executable with disassemblers and hex editors but could never find any clues as to the problem.


-Powers are XML2 style
-Up to 9 costumes per character
-Team Bonuses, like Animated Series or Astonishing X-Men (not implemented)
-Current Roster

Additional X-Men & Bonus Characters

  :polaris: Polaris   :xavier: Professor X   :spidergirl: Spider-Man (bonus character)

**Game is playable to the end of the HAARP facility, however most of the HAARP mission is unfinished, so many bugs still exist.

This also marks the end of my involvement since the engine simply cannot do everything it should be able to.

Installation:
1-Extract the files to the directory you would like the game to be installed to.  It will extract everything to a /X-Men Legends PC folder
   For Example, I want to install to C:/Games, so I choose there.  When finished the game will be installed in C:/Games/X-Men Legends PC
2-Run XMen.exe to play

Well, it's sad, that you guys can't finish this mod, but it's great, that you even tried and done a lot of things...so, anyway, thanks :)

Cheat codes right now.  I never set up scripts to unlock them since the project is dead.

yeah um, i wasn't able to get past the saving allison mission, when i was supposed to go on the x-jet it showed the Xavier loadscreen then changed to cyclops loadscreen then it went back to the northern rooftops, i repeated and it did the same thing.

 i think it was on an xml1 video on youtube, not sure

Yeah, it's a bug that's in there somewhere when I updated just before I uploaded the files.  Anyone is welcome to fix it, but there's really no point since it's impossible to fix all of the other huge errors.

Ah shoot. Sorry to hear this.
This was one project that I was very excited about.
But if it can't be done, it can't be done.
Super Kudos on the valiant effort guys.

Could this mean a return to creating missions
using the XML maps instead? That might still be fun!

Yep, Norrin created all the tools we need to use XML maps as side missions.
