Ok. So here you go. Really how much more official do you need? This isnt a case of my mom's uncle's dog's ex-owner who happens to be Elvis said they heard a rumor. It's just me, and I've been around here for awhile. And I suck with photoshop, just in case you were wondering. I drove to Toys-R-Us about 15 minutes ago since it's less then a mile from work. I took pictures of the Wii box. I took pictures of the PS3 box. The 360 box was the same, so I didnt bother. Neither the PS3 or 360 mention any exclusives. Sorry I didnt think to ask to see the PS2 box. So without a doubt these three characters are on the Wii version of the game. Sorry the close up pic of the Wii box is blurry, the iPhone sucks in that regard.

This is the store:

I was going to take a picture of my car before I got into it, and my feet as I walked into the store but I didnt want people to think I was a sarcastic prick. Enjoy!

It's good to know it's not a photoshop.
Also, I like that they changed the back of the PS3 box to say "harness the power of 24 playable heroes" rather than the old one that said "Over 24 playable heroes".

Anyway Dan from Twitter confirmed Cyclops so we have him, Psylocke, and Blade for WII and PS2. Yay!!

Well, I'm just glad it's finally proven not to be a fake.  I'm a tough one to convince, and because often people think it's fun to try and fool people (remember that MUA2 cover with Hawkeye?) I didn't want to say it was official until one of us could confirm it.

Here is the link to his twitter. Dont want people to think it's fake. You'll have to scroll through the comments to see what's been said about the characters and cyclops:

I do find it interesting that he states something along the lines of the Wii characters being easier to make. There must be some pretty noticable difference between the Wii and PS3/360 versions.

Wii characters more than likely use far less polygons, have lower res textures, and do not have bump/specular maps, which are made from a super-high resolution model (meaning there's actually two versions of every 360/PS3 model, a super-high res one that the detail textures come from, and the in-game model)

From looking at the back of the box the Wii characters, at least to me, looked like they came from MUA1. Definitely lacking in detail.

That's cuz of Wii's quality. They do look like MUA. Cyke epsecially. Psylocke reminds me of her mod. Blade looks new

Makes sense as Marvel technically owns all models and textures.  Not saying they did or they didn't, but if I were n-Space I'd ask for all the MUA/XML2 models and reuse as much as I could so I could have more time to make a better game.  What worries me is that everything I've read (which isn't a lot) seems to point to this being a totally different game that just follows the same story.  What I mean by that is the Latveria level may be totally different on the Wii/PS2 than the 360/PS3.  Different locations of items, different architecture, etc.

awesome thanks for confirming, and sorry some people gave you a hard time :). We always talk about rumors on this part of the forum, so i didnt get why so many people were being rude.

They do look a little MUA1, hopefully that means we can use some of that stuff.
Please search the forum before asking a question. I dont answer
PMs about modding, those questions should be posted in a public thread.

Funny I was wondering the same thing. Oh well, at least there is no longer a doubt about it.

dont you guys think that if a character is an exclusive right off the bat that theres a really good chance that they would be DLC?

all thats needed would be some kind of conversion, right?

maybe for 360 again they will make a gold edition for all final dlc's
