Is anyone doing the XML character mannequins w/3D Ripper?  'Cuz I was thinking that we needed to set up our desired anims as 'menu_idle' so whoever rips the models will have an easier time.  Heck, I'll do all the 3d Ripper stuff if Tommy or Dark_Mark want the output files for exporting.  I've got one machine that's just sitting around.

I know the following characters need a mannequin:
-Avalanche --with fists up (fighting idle)
-Bishop --his idle
-Blob --idle
-Cannonball --Shocker's idle
-Emma Frost
-Havok
-Jubilee
-Juggernaut --idle
-Magma
-Mysterio
-Omega Red --Crimson Dynamo's idle
-Professor X --his XML2 'goodbye' (where he touches his head)
-Pyro -his idle
-Rogue --flying
-Toad --idle (the Deadpool mannequin pose)
-Vision --Whatever his idle is
-X-Man

There's a few that could use a 3D Ripper mannequin just to match the in-game model, but it's not totally necessary.
-Beast (so he matches in-game models) --The very end of his 'goodbye'
-Hulk (only so he's in a posed state, nothing more) --The new idle post would work well
-Hawkeye (only so he's in a posed state, nothing more) --Regular idle
-Black Widow (only so she's in a posed state, nothing more)
-Ronin (only so she's in a posed state, nothing more) --Her 'googbye'

I'm in the process of converting over the sound files from XML1 Xbox to PC format.  In order to make the files work easily for both XML2 and MUA I'm keeping all the generic bad guy voices in x_voice.  For the XML1->XML2 and XML1->MUA exe files, open it up in a hex editor and change x_voice.zsd to z_voice.zsd, and x_common.zsd to z_common.zsd.  That way it won't conflict with the main game, but still will be able to use common assets since I can make additional sound files as needed.

Teancum, I remember you saying you packaged a rogue with the XML1 release stuff. Is it the one that BliZZ made? If so, I have made some modifications to it so the xtreme works, the icon problem is fixed, and she drains life instead of power steal. I wouldn't want to release anything without his permission, but I am not sure what you have already released. Also i have her sounds ready (except the banter stuff, they are in the zss i just didnt edit the hashs yet)

I'd say go ahead and release it.  I know BliZZ would rather she be released than waiting, and the community would love it.  Just credit BliZZ for the initial conversion.  I didn't do anything aside from putting her in the XML project.  All I did was hunt down the very first public release BliZZ did.

Not that it matters, but I agree with Teancum. I don't think Blizz would mind and it would likely be the most downloaded "new" mod release for MUA in some time.

I was hoping your new Rogue skin meant you had a mod in the works, Norrin. :)

I can confirm that you can bring up both the codex (character review) and the shop menus in MUA if you copy over the needed files from XML2.  So theoretically both those menus work fine in MUA, although I'm still not convinced of the actual shopping part working.  I'll play around with it more this weekend.  I'm hoping to get the codex menus working 100%.  It would be super-awesome to add a character bio section to MUA to read about Heroes/Villains and watch their model walk around.

Hey Norrin, can I ask what's new with the XML project?  I didn't want to revive the public topics if there's nothing to show at the moment.

I have fixes for the first act, or "act 0", like the garbage can the level exit point, and music, etc. It doesn't seem there has been too much interest in the project

I'm still really interested, personally, but given some of the graphical issues in MUA I always wanted to see it in XML2.  Still, maybe after I finish knocking out MUA XBOX SE I might jump in.
