Spider-Man (Marvel Zombies) Character Mod


It all started with a flash in the sky and a ripple through the clouds...

They said it all started with a flash in the sky and a ripple through the clouds...the hunger is what brought it there, and fed it did. But that was a story that began long ago, and then again shortly thereafter...and again...and again...


But somewhere along the line, in that infamously repeating cycle of horror that doomed Earth 2149 and 91126 as sister-worlds in decay, something managed to slip through the cracks. On Earth 2149, years after what had once been Earth's Mightiest Heroes devoured their own universe as undead husks of their former selves only to find themselves blasted into another universe by one of the surviving members of Magneto's Acolytes, something happened. Something that should've been a cosmic impossibility given the nature of the infection and the temporal quarantine placed on the two worlds inflicted with it. It shouldn't have happened. Heck, it *couldn't* have happened, but it did.


In that freak moment of teleportation, like a spider through the tiniest hole in a bug screen: something slipped loose.

Though New York wasn't caught in the throes of a viral infection: the city wasn't peaceful today. The city was still recovering from the sudden aerial attack of a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier that had been secretly flying above the skies of the city in an unannounced aerial patrol, with many crashed hoverships of both government and outside origin having been shot down and crashing down into the city below. Damage Control had been quickly contracted to promptly work on repairing the damage and to store the wreckage for a more discreet pickup by a proper S.H.I.E.L.D. clean-up crew. To make matters worse, rumors of The Hand having a spike in activity following the incident have made ordinary citizens uneasy, compounded with the sudden newsbreak that controversial United States Senator Robert Kelly had been abducted from his home sometime earlier that night.


In the back corner of an alleyway a mile away from the modest apartment of the Parker family in Queens, the air suddenly stank of ozone and decay. Then in a burst of electrostatic noise and purple flashes, he appeared: a figure about five-foot-ten in a tattered costume that was all too familiar to locals around the area. The smell of ozone faded away...the decay did not.

The air was clean. That was the first thought that crossed the tattered figure's mind as he caught his bearings in this new world. He couldn't even begin to remember when the last time he'd smelled clean air was. The smell of roasting street hot dogs and car exhaust was as sweet to him now as a full breath of garden air.


He took an unsteady step forward, the cybernetic prosthesis that he wore in place of his leg whirring slightly as it adjusted to the feel of solid ground after being teleported.


"Blegh...you'd think after floating through space for forty years, I'd get used to that," the figure said, looking back behind him at the wall, then in front of him. "This isn't New Wakanda...guess Malcolm and Forge made Iron Man's old teleporter work right after all..."


Taking another step forward, the figure entered more fully into the light. His rags, stained and discolored over years of constant use, were a motley collection of frayed red and blue fabrics with black web patterns criss-crossing the red. His mask was similarly patterned in the same way, red and webbed with two white eye lenses. The maw was exposed though, torn clean below the nose to expose a lipless mouth filled with teeth permanently stained red and a pale-skinned chin...


"Whatever's going on," the man that had once been Spider-Man said as he sprang up onto a wall and began to climb up onto the rooftops above. "I just hope it doesn't bring my appetite back..."
