I'm afraid you don't know your history. The Phoenix was in Maddie but she never harnessed it's powers. Also Kid Omega wasn't married ever. He wanted to resurrect the dead Cuckoo Sophie as he had a crush on her. And in Classic X-Men either the issue where Jean dies or her funeral there is a backstory and Death tells Jean that she is the proper owner of the Phoenix's powers. The Phoenix has only became one with Jean. No one else. Others have been the host but never merged. The Phoenix first took part of Jean's pysche making it believe it was Jean. It got corrupted but the part of Jean inside Phoenix convinced it to commit suicide. Jean later wore the costume of Phoenix and in Morrison's run she regained her tk as well as started manifesting the Phoenix. In endsong Jean and the Phoenix became one as this was their destiny. They are know White Phoenix the highest state any Phoenix person can be so she is like technically a queen now of all Phoenix hosts. So no one else no not even Rachel has merged with Phoenix. Only host not merged. Jean is merged now though as that is their destiny. Jean and Phoenix's destiny. Till the end of time they will be one being. This is in Endsong, Here Comes Tommorrow, and that Classic X-Men issue. Remember not merging with others. Others are only the Phoenix host. Now Jean and Phoenix are one being. And it will always be like that.

EDIT: Found some scans from Classic X-Men. This story was made in 90s so the fact that she merged with Phoenix are implied that she will be yet even if she is in White Phoenix Costume.

Host and merged. To me there was no difference but I understand what yuour getting at now. But i maintain if she is going to be in the game at all, I'd prefer her to have no Phoenix powers at all. Personally I can't stand the whole Phoenix thing and I have a feeling this is why a lot of x-fans despise her too. I don't mind her as Jean but when i hear the words 'Phoenix' it just makes me roll my eyes. Like I said before, there is no reason why all three pictured in your avaiater won't make the game. They are all completely different. I just believe that Emma has more rights to bethere than the others. Thanks for the links. Any word on Punisher yet?

Your welcome. I myself wish all three can be in cuz together they would be awesome and it would please lots of people. But it's not completely realistic. Psylocke and Emma are probably DLC though.

Well if this is the last MUA game they'll probably pull out all the stops. So we might find ourselves presently surprised with the amount of DLC characters. And if Activision are paying attention to the game boards then they'll see that Emma, Jean and Betsy are the obvious character favourites. Man I'm so glad I own an X-Box360

They didn't say that but somebody mentioned it on the MUA2 board. I hope it isn't though but I reckon it will be. Lets just hope they don't release an upgrade of the game like they did for the first one. I had to buy it twice. First the original then I bought the gold version so i could play the extra eight characters. Hopefully they won't do anything like that for this one. I'd rather have all the goodies at once and no console exclusives.

I've just noticed also that in the picture on the official MUA2 board Invisible Woman appears o be flying or balancing in mid-air. Did anyone else see that?

They originally said she wouldn't,but I think that was called untrue later. Her flying in the mural gives hope she can fly.They wouldn't tease us like that. Or I hope not.

i really dont see why there not letting her fly or slide, i mean c'mon nearly everytime i see her get around is on a force slider path thing! i mean , look at the animated series. She flies around nearly everywhere!!
i really wish she could slide, like icemans ice tracks!!

Ok more News! With Penance Pic floating around and the inclusion of Ms Marvel in the NY gameplay trailer, Iceman was confirmed(by accident) at the comic con booth to the people playing the demo!

I'm guessing Iceman is in. If so hopefully then Fury is only a XBOX 360 and PS3 exclusive (or switch him out with Psylocke and Cyclops and Fury becomes WII and PS2 exclusive and we get a good X character) then I may still get Spider-Woman or Dr. Strange.
