Saw it yesterday & loved it!! It needs to simmer down a bit before I know where it stands with me in regards to other movies, but I feel it's going to end up in the upper tier for me. So far, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is my all-time fave superhero movie and I don't think this one is going to change that. But, yeah, I thought A:AoU was really great, especially how in-between the many spectacular action scenes and with the enormous cast there are always plenty of character moments, both personal and team interaction bits.
Awesome!

Saw it yesterday. It's definitely action-packed, and some characters get nice character moments. Btw, the same actors who play Quicksilver and SW are the leads in the recent Godzilla film.

I usually stay out of threads about the marvel movies as my interest in them kind of flatlined. But one thing i'm genuinely curious about, does James Spader voice Ultron pretty much the same way in his normal voice the whole film or does he make it sound any deeper or mechanical at least when he gets angry?

Maybe i'm just spoiled due to cartoons and video games casting a deeper and more mechanical voice for Ultron that I just find the way he talks in the previews super disappointing.
I'm a writer with big goals and ambitions
Influences: Classic Literature, Horror Movies and Hanna Barbera Cartoons and wouldn't have it any other way

I had mixed feelings about it. Ultron was WAY more action packed than Loki (he actually fought) but I felt like his motives weren't really that clear. In order to establish peace, Ultron reasons that humanity just needs to be wiped out and 'evolve'? Really? In some lines in the movie he just sounded pure evil, so I do wish his motives were more clear.

I liked the humanisation of Hawkeye who was not all that interessting in the first one, so props for that.
But I feel that this movie as a whole should've been marked as a 'filler' if you will. It's only 'function' is to introduce Wanda and Pietro and build-up to Infinity War. Where as in the first Avengers served a bigger purpose (bringing the team together) this one felt a little to the meh-ish side. I did like the (last?) scene where they show off Scarlet Witch's, Falcons and Visions new outfits, these looked cool :D

I agree with what Polygone said. My only big complaint was that it wasn't as dark as the trailers presumed it to be, which was a big let down (well for me). Also some of the bits of humor felt really forced. Like when they told the "watch your language" almost no one laughed. I do have to say that Vision is probably my new favorite MCU character by far!

If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 7/10. Good, but not as good as the first Avengers imo.

Hey, Hobgoblin, Winter Soldier is my favorite too! :D

But in all seriousness, I really liked Age of Ultron. I loved the introduction of Wanda and Pietro and Elizabeth and Aaron (their actors) did so much better than I expected. I really didn't care for the Natasha/Bruce love story but that's mostly because I don't like how Joss Whedon has Black Widow characterized in the Avengers movie (her characterization in Winter Soldier was perfect, in my opinion.) Ultron was a pretty great villain and, even if I don't like him in the comics, the movie made me like Vision a lot more. Also really liked Clint's family bit (always forget how much inspiration they grab from the Ultimate universe for the movies.) I'm really interested to see what the team will look like for the next movie, since it gets a bit fragmented at the end.

All in all, I really enjoyed it. Expect for the part where I was sobbing because my second favorite comic book character of all time died. But other than that, awesome.

Couple of questions:

Is there anyway QuickSilver will be resurrected? I figure Cap dies in Civil War and they use one of the stones to bring him back. Will Quicksilver get the same treatment whatcha think?

How did Thanos get the glove? Is the one from the first Thor movie a decoy to scare people to not go get it?

Did Thor say Jane was looking into Incursions?

Insight is welcome. Loved this movie I love all these movies the little blemishes don't matter to me just happy they are making them.

I thought it was a fantastic movie, though I do agree that it was more of a filler movie. Even from the beginning it seemed like we were thrown into the middle of a movie already.

Wanda and Pietro were pretty awesome, and I am upset Quicksilver died. I had high hopes Wanda and the doctors with the human tissue making machine would fix him.
