What do you think about the serie Ultimatum?
You mean in the Marvel Universe?
SUCKS. It's like the movies: people are getting killed. Movie Goblin: got killed. Venom: "got killed". Octopus: "Got killed". Xavier: "Got killed". Don't wanna go on..
I actually liked the Ultimate Universe. I've read the whole Ultimate X-Men series of it.
I've never really cared for the realism that the Ultimate universe was meant to have. There are too many people these days chomping at the bit for realism when, no matter how much you try, just can't be pulled off. Then they went and pressed the Big Red button in a more disastrous way than 616 Universe did with the Decimation.
I thought it was crap, horrible story and a horrible way to get rid of so many characters (if you look of the list of dead most were mutants).
Are they going to continue the Ultimate series? Or is that just a rumour (read somewhere that Ultimate Comics would pick up the universe or something like that).
I never noticed the "realism" of the Ultiverse. I cared more about how the characters were. The darker the stories, the better, but killing off heroes and villains is just wrong (unless nobody likes the character(s) :P )
Yeah its still going, "Ultimate X" seems to be the continuation of Ultimate X-Men. Im guessing its going to be a lot of new characters since they killed so many of the X-Men. Seems that Ultimate X was released? I found a site which had info.. The blonde kid with the wolverine claws is Wolverine's son. It actually got a good rating on the site (forgot where, I was searching for Sabretooth pictures).
that's actually not a terrible plot device if they don't make him too much like daken or wolverine.

Personally im done with the Ultimate Universe, after the total crap that was Ultimatium and the horrible last issues fo Ultimate X-Men i just cant support that crap :(

In the Wolvy vs Hulk i was so happy when nicky told logan that hes power is surviving that equals to NOT DYING...

in the ultimate power series? that was a robot version of doom. not the real one. not exactly sure which instance your talking about :P.
You know in ultimatum, when the thing kill him there was blood so it was a real person

oh i guess i was thinking about a different time doom was killed. but tony stark remote controlled his silver centurion armor filled with fake blood packs and faked his death. doubt marvel would do that though.
well earth-616 Doom also 'died' a lot of times but he always comes back

Without Doom, Wolverine and most of the X-Men they can bring up some new characters and villains. I still think the whole storyline was crap and way too nasty especially the part were the Blob is eating The Wasp (Janet van Dyne)
that part was really f███ed up, imo.
I was a huge fan of the Ultimate Universe, but then they went and killed off so many great characters. I think they screwed up by allowing that. Ultimate X-Men was a favorite of mine that I read every month, but then they canceled it and lost a subscription:(

Why did they created that charecters if in the end they got rid of them in such stupid way?
Jeph Loeb is, for me, a hit-or-miss kind of writer! And Ultimatum was a huge fat MISS for me (and for many other Marvel Fans, as far as I know about it)...
But Ultimate X is actually good stuff, I just don't get why did they get to do Ultimatum instead of just rebooting the (really bad at the time) Ultimate X-Men book with a new direction (the one we're seeing here in Ultimate X)...
Now the Ultimate Universe is all over the floor, and that's just sad... =\

Wolverine can regenerate from anything, IF his brain is intact, destroy Wolverines brain and you can kill him.

Even then his brain does a pretty good job of healing itself up. I seem to remember Deadpool shooting him point blank in the eye. The bullet bounced around the inside of his skull effectivley shredding his brain. Hm. I kinda want to see Logan and Bullseye fight now.

I really like the ultimatum, but found it too dramatic a lot of people died, although I liked the death of Magneto :magneto:, now the WAsp :wasp: was horrible Blod :blob: disgusting.

Ultimatum was a bad story. It was rushed, too full of action and death. I dunno, usually Marvel bothers with showing us more of the story instead of just the action bits but this wasn't the case in Ultimatum. First you see people drown, then people find a lot of bodies, then some more people die, and then they're at Magnetos, dying some more and then finally killing him. Even in the end scene someone dies. It's not so much of a story as a series of incidents where people die. I dunno if it was meant to shock us but imo the Ultimatum wave would've been enough, instead of one death scene after another.
