Would it have a similar layout like Spider man Web of Shadows with Luke Cage, Wolverine, etc?

According to this article, the game will allow you to roam across Manhattan and the sewers (it will have lizards); there is the new Web Rush mechanic which will allow the player to display Spidey acrobatic abilities in completely new way. The story line will directly start from Peter Parker being Spider-man.

The trailer also shows a little different type of web swinging; the web is totally like Spider-man Web of Shadows. The trailer is showing that Spider-man will be destroying robots. This game will definitively have the NYC street gangs, just like Spider-man 3.

This game is worth waiting for, and it will be available for for most of the consoles(except PS2 and possibly the PSP). But it is still not officially declared which consoles.

I hope there is a 1st person mode or cheat in The Amazing Spiderman game, because it would be really cool to be fighting and webswinging in 1st person. Spiderman the Movie PC game did a pretty good job with the 1st person cheat, but it was really hard to control and move.

Personally, I think Beenox should spend their skills in making more non-movie Marvel games. I'd kill for an Iron Man game like that after the shitty ps2 port and complete cancelation of the second movie game of that franchise.

It looks decent, but I hate how they use the same gameplay over and over again, if it was nostalic, Ill get it, but it aint, Something went wrong in Edge of Time, and im afraid they're doing the same here
I've seen a couple of IM2 walkthroughs, and it's a shame it didn't make it to PC. But with Sega being a bunch of lazy wankers, they would've probably graced us with another PS2 port, like it was with first IM and The Incredible Hulk games.

I wanna see a movie version of Venom. I was really dissapointed with the other spiderman 3 venom. He looked cool, but not what i was expecting at all. So i hope they add him in, very curious to see what he would look like, probably not that much different im guessing, but maybe so. Perhaps they would take the approach of spiderman 3 and make it look more like a suit than just some huge monster, because personally in spiderman 3 he did look like he was wearing a suit, the only thing that gave it away kinda was the mouth.
And Doc Oc. Was he in any other spiderman game, not including the movie game? Like web of shadows? Im not that far into it, i remember seeing him in the old ps1/n64 version, but thats all. Would be cool to see him in a new spiderman game,

Rhino looks cool in my opinion, Looks like people were experimenting with him and he was created. Its like Doctor Conners turning into the lizard. I love the look.

that is hilarious. seeing stan kick the crap out of every super villian he ever created would be a blast. And I know I'm beating a dead horse, but after replaying shattered dimensions and edge of time I hope beenox adds every bonus costume from those two games and puts them in this one. I mean between the two games there were over 40 different costumes. Surely they would really increase the replay value if added to this new title. Though I'm not sure which would be the fairest way to acquire them all. Should they be unlockable through completing chalanges? Or perhaps they can be accessed through main menu cheats? Or maybe players can unlock them after earning experience points. Eh whatever the case may be, I really hope Beenox doesnt drop the ball with these suits. they've built up quite the wardrobe so it would be a shame if they just threw it all away now.
Seeing that The Amazing Spiderman game will have Stan Lee as a bonus character. So, I am pretty sure it will have other costumes, like maybe the original Spiderman, and the ones from the Spiderman game from 2002. It would be pretty awesome being to able free roam. Like maybe, in Peter Parker's flat, he can access his costumes and other equipment. I don't know; it's very possible and at the same time impossible.

Well he is a famous villain in the original Spider-Man Comics, so I don't think that Beenox and Activision just add some random new things we've never seen in the comics before.

He sucks. In short: he is a real iguana mutated just like the Lizard, but in the end, it was changed back. Not your typical boss character in a game. He was like in what, 3 comics? Why not just use the actual Lizard? But, if we have this Iguana, I really hope we won't get the Lizard as well.

Iguana is Dr. Curt Connors pet lizard "iggy" who was primrily used as a test subject in various experiments while Connors was searching for a treatment for lost limbs. Eventually Iggy mutated due to the accumulative effects of various biological mutagens that he was exposed to. And unlike the lizard this thing was just an oversized predator that acted on instinct. The first Iguana appeared in Spectacular Spider-Man# 32 and returned during the chaos of the clone saga where it actively tried to hunt down connors and kill him. When connors eventually became the lizard again after a 5 year hiatus, it attacked and killed Iggy by snapping it's neck.
I know, I read about him. But still, this Iguana is really far from an important boss character. They should have used someone like the Chameleon, Shocker or better yet, the Lizard himself. Because, my main problem isn't with the character, just the fact, that it's far from being interesting enough in my opinion. So, long story short: anyone more prominent would have been better.
The chances of seeing villians like that though are slim to none. Beenox said it themselves in multiple interviews that they decided to run with the Human/Animal hybrids since it was the overall theme of the film. Despite the fact that the events in this game take place a year after the films conclusion, the overall story in the game is about this massive outbreak of animal/human hybrids that were designed by oscorp to be used as weapons and were aparantly unleashed by one of their more unscrupulous executives. (And before you say anything...no it is not Norman Osborn. Beenox already put that theory to rest) So villians like green goblin, shocker, jack o lantern, the enforcers, any symbiotes, mysterio and any other 2nd and 3rd string villians will not show up unless they have some kind of animal theme in the comics.

Well if you want to be more liberal and use names of villians in addition to inherent powers then there is Vulture, Jackal, Beetle, Chameleon, Man-Wolf, Puma, Basalisk, Black Fox, Kangaroo, Black Tarantula, Hammerhead, Human Fly, Raptor, Scorpia, Squid, Stegron, Tarantula, Vermin and White Rabbit in addition to the villians you already mentioned.

Lol what gave it away? Yeah I'm a pretty big spidey fan. I havent read any of the more recent stuff but I have the entire clone saga, ultimate spider-man, stuff from the late 90's and mid to late 80's plus a whole bunch of venom titles. And I'm really hoping that Beenox includes the bonus costumes from shattered dimensions and Edge of time in this game. Forget the villians..I dont care who they choose for boss battles. I just want to see some spidey costumes like 2099, scarlet spider, ben reilly spider-man, Ultimate symbiote, and ultimate red/blue. It will really rub me the wrong way if beenox decides against the bonus costumes.
Yeah, I myself always loved bonus costumes in super hero games. Especially if they can choose the right bonus costumes (There are so many great Spidey attires, it's hard to NOT choose the right ones)
Thats why I think they should put all of them in the game...forget cherry picking some costumes over others. That's the gamers responsibility to eventually choose which suit they want to use, not the developers.

I AM! New, user created skins add so much replay value to adventure games like this, especially with Spidey's repertoire. Roll playing as Spider-Carnage in WOS for instance, hot dang it is fun. Hopefully there will be a fair amount of bonus/dlc skins (having to buy them sucks though.) to try and make up for it.

I didn't like the glasses either. I thought she looked pretty good in Web of Shadows; they should've used something similar to that. Plus, for whatever reason, she looks a lot older than she should.

I think this game actually looks pretty good! I'm happy to see Black Cat in it, although her costume isn't all that great. Someone commented that it looked like Batman Arkham City alittle, and I have to agree. In some ways it does, which if in the end it is like Batman Arkham City, then I have high hopes for the game!

I agree. Completely. And to be honest, Black Cat isn't all that attractive in this game anyway. She was better in Web of Shadows. And why aren't the Osborns in this?! If Oscorp exists, the Osborns should show up!
Well, techniaclly this game sorta works with the forumula of Arkham city (and american's mcgee's alice, if you wanna go that far)
