C.E.R.E.B.R.O (Conversations Enhanced: Rewritten Encounters and Branching Response Overhaul, previously known as Reimagined Conversations) is a mod for X-Men Legends II's PSP edition that rewrites all of the game's dialogue and conversation text to expand or change the available story while including underutilized characters that didn't get the chance to shine in the original game's conversations. It is undergoing constant updates as of 2026-03-05 onwards.
When Apocalypse arrived, Professor X took drastic measures to begin defending the X-Men. One of these measures was upgrading Cerebro, a machine used by Professor X to locate and communicate with mutants, humans, and otherwise. The upgrades caused a tear in the fourth wall, allowing the Professor to learn that he was inside of a video game. Upon learning this, he would find aid from the player who controlled his X-Men, and in return would telepathically communicate new dialogue through the text files to enhance the player's experience throughout the game, ensuring a team effort.
Work directly with Professor X to save the world from Apocalypse, and you will be rewarded with new and interactive segments of the game's dialogue that you used to boringly skip through.
