Title: Heroclix Online
Post by: The Boy Sanga on November 08, 2007, 03:04PM
I was just trawling the net when I decided to do a search about how to play heroclix online and I found this if anyone's interested:

Looks like you can add your own characters and stuff too so it might me worth a shot - only thing in you need a direct IP adress (no searching for hosted games) but hey! If anyone's up for a game anytime ...

Its a game played with little collectable figures,in the heroclix part the characters are from Marvel,DC and Indy comic's so you can play as Hellbot if you want. The game plays like MageKnight.

I haven't tried the online thing and I've never played the actual game...they just look cool.

But on second look they don't have any of my pals from Nextwave in it :(

They have the old Machine Man:

And Captain Marvel Monica:

And X-Factor Tabby:

Right, had a 'play' with the program and it looks like its the same as playing it on a board (but over the net) - i.e. there's no restrictions on movement etc. so you need to fully know the rules.

But, one thing I have found out is that you can multiplay on one computer so if you don't have the stuff you can still play with a firend on one compuper.

(In case anyone wants to know how, you host a game and, leaving the original window open, load up another window and select join game with the ip being 0).

You can also see the rules here: http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/howtoplay.asp

So, how do you get them?  Do you have to buy them?  Or do they have booster packs like with trading cards or what?

Woah, who's the big yellow guy? For the online ones, you just need to create the caracter or pick it from a list of already made ones.

As for the booster packs, is it a lucky dip? Do you know what characters are in each pack?

No you don't know who's in the pack's,its part of the allure as I'm a collector I was easily hooked so I have many doubles.Like I said 4000+ and the big yellow guy look close at him inside is the DC charactor Sinestro really fun stuff but can cost alot if not carefull
