I want more playable characters. Hopefully, both heros and villains in the Marvel Universe (not villains in the game) will be playble. More B- and C- list characters as playables (or helpers) would be nice, too.

Levels:
Well the fight with Dark Phoenix in the Blue Area of the Moon, of course
And the others in different planets of the space, that would be cool
I want, 1st time all character are existed (the character of gold edition, PSP edition & next-gen edition), with all are 36 character. Next time I juste want : punisher, she-hulk, carnage, toxin, X-man, Cable, Sentry & Hercule.
For level, I think Mount Olympus are a good Idea. With Jupiter for boss and unlock Hercule in this Level.
For a level, I think would be cool in MUA 2 is one like the Shocker Warehouse level on the PS1 Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro when you face Shocker and the warehouse is on fire. I just really thought it had a good fight in it and really made that part of the game worthwhile. Just seeing that in MUA2 would be awesome!

Characters:
-Keep all 36 official MUA character, especially Deadpool (although I wouldn't cry if the villains aren't playable)
-Punisher, Iron Fist, Sentry and She-Hulk were notoriously missing in this game, IMO.
-Beast, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Vision are some rather important Avengers that were missing. Maybe Giant Man, Wasp, and some others too.
-Besides Beast, some other X-Men, hopefully at least Jean, Gambit, Psylocke or Cable.
-Squirrel Girl. Just because.
Gameplay features:
-A "My Team" that encourages to keep a base, but try new members too. Something like whenever a character ni your team makes a power-combo with a character not on your team, the new character gains some kind of team sinergy points. Once you've gained 100, he is added to your team and you get 1 bonus point.
-I liked the idea of Wolverine's rage, but not the whole execution. He should gain skill points every level, like everyone else. While each point affected 2 abilities, you can never use them both at the same time, so it's not exactly like getting 2 points each level. Other characters could use something like this too, like Hulk or Jean.
-Every Xtreme should at least do some damage to bosses.
Location, bosses and NPCs:
-At least one vampire enemy. You know, for Blade.
-One level taking place in New York. Maybe Galactus invading it. Or Skrulls. Don't know why, but I really dig Skrulls.
-A cameo for JJJ.
-Either a fight against the Sinister Six (or Seven, or Twelve) or the Brotherhood. How come most battles in M:UA were 4 against 1 or 2 in the heroes favor? That's not how superhero fights work.
-Judging by the game's concept art, there were at least 3 locations that were planned to be included but finally weren't: Baxter Building, a Kree Spaceship and somewhere during the WW2 (Normandie, I think).
Other:
-Ghost Rider's Hellcycle. At least in a cinematic.
I'd dig some real multiplayer support.
Maybe some character customization in the realm of the equipment you slot actually changes the char's look.
A more "sandbox"-like experience if possible (probably not viable but oh well)
-More outfits. Support for at least 7 w/modding
-Cinematic Camera option (so you can take cool screens)
-Mod tools (ya right :P )
-Kingpin
-The Sinister Six
-A Stan Lee cameo :P
-A villains campaign in addition to the heroes 1. Playable characters in 1 campaign are bosses in the other. Minor enemies could be cops, the army, SHIELD & a ton of Iron Man drones. Not so sure who would be final boss, a cosmically empowered Spidy maybe?
-Online Co-Op & versus on all platforms that can support. Which, come to think of it, is all of them.
-DLC for PC, PS3 & 360, not just for 1.
-More power related puzzles, they seem to have decreased with each new game.
-Ditto with the AI.
-Wii isn't likely to DLC at the rate things are currently going so I'll suggest a controversial idea to make up for the lost content. Ever seen that rumor about Nintendo's Link & Samus supposedly planned for MUA? (http://www.gonintendo.com/?p=29809) Yeah, I'm saying they should go ahead & find a way to make that happen. 4 playable Nintendo characters (enough for a team) plus a few corresponding simulator missions featuring their respective enemies & bosses.
-Create-a-character feature, the sort seen in City of Heroes or WWE games. Not everybody can skin & mesh afterall. I think of this as the 1 real flaw with the Freedom Force games.

I also think there should be some more x-men (I would also add Shadowcat, Angel, Bishop and some others of the xml games) and avengers (Quicksilver, Scarletwitch, Vision and others)and all characters from MUA 1. Please no playable villains (in the heroes campaign) if there isn`t a character roster with at least 50 characters, and if there is, not the complete evil ones like doom, but only those like venom or bullseye and of course the brotherhood.
The story should really base on Mua 1, maybe on xml 1/2, too. Lots of new bosses, some of them could also be playable if you`ve defeated them. An alliance of the big evils again, please! And lots of characters u can't play as NPCs in the base.
What would ít be like to fight against the brotherhood, to defeat them, to get five or six of them playable(e.g. Magneto, Mystique, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Toad) and the others as NPCs in ur base and then to fight with them together against a bigger evil?
Less X-Men since they've already got 2 games dedicated to them and wasnt about 8 characters from MUA X-Men too? (although some of the less traditional X-Men wouldn't be bad - e.g. Strong Guy, Multiple Man etc)
More of the less famous characters making an appearance, even if its just in a few stages (The Great Lakes Avengers/X-Men/Defenders/Champions/Initiative would be pretty cool but not exactly playable) as well as a few more internationals (e.g. Captain Britain).
A little more free-roaming too (e.g. New York) - make it feel less like you're following a path

Agreed. 6 X-Men should be the minimum. Plus they're Marvel's most popular group so you know they'll be at least that many.
Well arguably Magneto and Sabretooth qualify as X-men - perhaps they should throw beast in as an X-man/Avenger? When you consider some of the other popular comics/characters that weren't included (Iron Fist, Black Cat, She Hulk) having almost a quarter of the line up as X-Men may be a bit excessive...but hey, I'm not exactly an X-man fan so I'm a little biased...

I want to play as the Illuminati. That's Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Namor, Prof. X, Black Bolt and Dr. Strange. So 6 Players would be cool.
I mentioned some scenarios over in 'MUA2 best villain choices' which include stories and characters relating to any one of these:
- the Annihilation wave and conquest stories
- The Infinity Gauntlet
- The Cosmic Cube
Any of these would provide SO many cool heroes, villains, cosmic characters and potential NPCs.
That said, other cool levels would include Hell's Kitchen at night or the Hand,
something for the street level marvel characters to play through again and again.
A space level where you can travel OUTSIDE of the ship, for cosmic characters like
the Silver Surfer, Quasar, Captain Marvel, etc. Would be awesome to see them soaring
through space and come across a cosmic character like EGO or Galactus. Wouldn't it be
cool if Silver Surfer could fly 'around' planets in a level that would require that
you play a cosmic character, for example, so you could move at those high speeds.
It might be cool to have specific adventures for these various types of characters.
SO if I later want to run Moon Knight or Spidey through the streets of NY, the level
would be set in one place, but offer some variety with the villains or where they are
located. This would get a lot of replay. They'd be geared toward a certain class
of heroes, to fit the various classes of Marvel characters. A Hulk level adventure,
or an Avengers level, a street character level, a cosmic level, etc. So that I could
grab the Hulk and go on a run, if I didn't feel like being in the main story mode.
A 'down by the docks' level, where atlanteans or whoever could be coming out of the
water. Absorbing Man would be great here; so would many of Spidey's villains, Rhino,
Green Goblin, Mysterio. There have been a lot of classic dock fights.
Or a dark sub-basement level, like you would find with Arsenal or Ultron.

No more of THAT foolishness; they need to do their homework and use ACTUAL Marvel characters!
We also need an underground level, a la Mole Man, with all his creatures. This would be great
for Fantastic Four or Avengers teams, where it starts in the city and goes down from there.
Maybe a crime cartels story, Hammerhead, Kingpin, the Hood and his crew, competing for something.
I still think a Count Nefaria / Maggia / Madame Mask story would be great, and would tie in easily.
..maybe even get as large as groups like Hydra, AIM and the Hand here as well. MODOK needs to be
scary, not so bumbly.
Still be able to see the Helicarrier in the sky would be cool, perhaps on a level within
(or on top of) Stark Tower.
Lots of cool possibilities.
Someone should compile all this and send it to Activision.

I like Teancum's idea of a Cinematic Camera, different "modes", and a Stan Lee cameo (:laugh:)
Online multiplayer support, create-a-character, and NPC backup are all also pretty good ideas.
There should be a PvP mode like Nemesis where players can compete against the CPU or their friends.
Baxter Building and the Helicarrier as ideas for hubzones.
A level in an urban city.
Harder bosses and harder enemies.
An off-storyline free-roam mode (most likely will not happen), like in the Superman Returns videogame or the Spider-Man ones.

More levels! Having 5 or 6 is soooo boring... 10/12 would do..
Choosing location, like in SM: FOF.. So you won't have to go through the same thing in the same order everytime you may've beaten the game.
Costume editor.. Adding all sorts of stuff to the marvel char, equipping stuff for enhancement (for example, leather suit < vibranium suit).
Usable utility bags... Nice to see the chars have em like Cap and Fury, but they aren't even used at all, only for eyecandy which lasts for like a day or 2 :S
5 man teams...
Higher defence on all enemies.. Makes the 5-man teams worth it.
More realistic damage output. Juggernaut punches a guy but it doesn't fly away at all... (just an example)
Fully destructable levels.. When you throw someone, he really goes into and/or through the walls and such.. That would make it more fun imo.
No storybreaking characters as playables...
Sadly, when I read that it would feature 140 marvel characters I really thought that there were 140 playables :laugh: So increasing the roster with 20 more characters would do.. about 8 X-Men would do the trick..
As for chars, I would like to see Cable, Bishop, Psylocke.. No character duplicates.. (like saber & wolvy and luke & colossy)..

I think most of the things I'd like added in MUA 2 would be things that should have been fixed the first go around.
1. A big free roam city level, I guess technically all of the levels are free roam, but a big explorable New York would be great.
2. An ability to add non-playable helpers to your team, to fight aside you like Dum Dum Dugan. This would offer so many possibilities for lesser known characters to make an appearance. You wouldn't even need to give them whole powersets, just one or two attacks.
3. If you have Nick Fury on your team, he does not appear in ANY levels, all of his parts are covered by Dum Dum Dugan. Same with any other character that appears as a NPC, if they are on your team, they just don't show up.
4. Maybe an ability to pick your own base of operations, Baxter Building, Stark Tower, X-Mansion, possibilities are endless...or at least extensive.
5. A build your own hero function would be sweet, unlocking more parts as you go along.
6. I really would like a change in camera angles based on how many characters are on your team, or better yet: being able to pick whatever camera angle you want. I would love to have the camera follow the character you're playing as like the camera in the Spider-Man games.
7. More characters - there's already a list of the ones I want on the Characters thread.
That's all I have, but I'm pretty sure we're going to end up with basically the same game as always, with more / different characters and vaguely different levels.
I dunno if I'd want a complete Create-A-Character mode, but I would want visual upgrades to characters. But as far as the the RPG elements I'd want it really balanced. So if I didn't want to spend hours upgrading I'd still have fun.
I really love brohara's idea of character specific levels. You could do some pretty easy grouping. A Level for "Street" characters could let you play as Luke Cage, Daredevil, Electra, Punisher, Moon Knight, Spidey and Ghost Rider. I think that could add so much replay to the game. And if the game was set up so that there was a main storyline that included everybody, but a free roam New York that let you go find character specific adventures or category based adventures (for characters in a certain category...)
Holy Crap, a WWII level could be awesome, let you play as Cap, Namor, Human Torch, or Nick Fury. That would probably be my favorite.
And with so many subplots imagine the NPCs they could include.
Now that would be the perfect Marvel game. Sadly Raven doesn't seem inclined to try anything new with their sequels. Maybe someone should send them a link to this thread.....or maybe we all should send them a link to this thread.....just an idea.
Most of all a new story with all the bells new characters,new maps,new boss villain and above all else a Danger room where you can pick the heroes and villains you want for the replay value is most needed.
more comic accurate skins for characters. i don't play with many characters, but the ones i do play with, i want to have the option of them looking the way i like...
bigger roster with more diverse powers, like: yellowjacket that can grow and shrink, quicksilver zipping round the screen (jlh did it with the flash well enough), more x-men (at least the core members as standard), more avengers (as i said, yellowjacket/giant man), also i'd like to have more of an rpg experience with the game... i want more interaction with characters than the standard 4 phrases most have)

Everyone's going for this Free Roam thing. I'm really anti-free roam. That's more for a true RPG style like a Marvel-ish version of Star Wars: KotOR, or something like Marvel Online. For me the core gameplay is fine. Just give us a little bit of roaming ability like the XML2 New York levels. I don't want too much. I'll get the game to fight, not to wander around on side quests and looking for little powerups hiding in obscure parts of the level.
I would like to see at least one massive battle, maybe at the end, where you really feel like your whole team is fighting the enemy.
Or if they don't do that, hopefully they remove the limit on amount of npcs that can be in a level at the same time so we can mod a massive battle.

I would want more usable costumes in the sequel. There were many costumes for many characters that I thought looked cool and I liked but the stats were unappealing to me for example Dr. Strange's only two costumes that I used were his original and blue mage and the others had no use to me and the only two Deadpool costumes that were useful to me were his original and assassin the other two looked cool but I had no use for them. These are just examples of what I am talking about.

Really? Deadpool's Ultimate costume and Weapon X, whether appearance or the passives associated, are chosen quite well IMO. The ultimate costume is the best; the regenerative factor makes him regenerate way faster than Wolverine. Max Energy is just as useful. Also, the critical chance from Weapon X compliments Blade Cyclone and Dual Shot very well.

couldnt agree more... those costumes are the most well known for alot of people...
I don't like the idea of implementing playable villain, i rather have MORE playble heroes than some villains.
My WISH LIST:
1º- NO EXCLUSIVES... this means, if the PC has "X" character, all systems should!!!
2º- MORE SKIRMISH-LIKE MISSIONS... more fast action content for FAST-SUPERHERO-BATTLES...
3º- MORE COSTUMES!... at least 1 or 2 more for each character
MORE HEROES!!!... and i mean A LOT MORE HEROES!
Inlcuding ALL already playable chars in MUA1 ( in know... i am dreaming but still XD)

agreed. i nomannate cable, beast, gambit, polaris, magnet, sbretooth to be the new x-men
i would like to see a little more emphasis on character abilities like having spiderman climb a wall for a switch or use daredevil to hear a combination for a lock in another room. or even the flying, just for it to be better. let agile characters do some sort of flip for a dodge. just let the characters be themselves. what do you guys think?

That'd be pretty cool - allow the faster, weaker characters to play differently to the slower characters who can take a beating...
I'd like this game to come out on the DS as a similar (or simpler) port as opposed to the pretty poor GBA version...
I would like to see all the old playable characters and some new ones, like make Black Bolt, Odin, a playable character, some of the Inhumans, Professor X, Beast, ANt Man, Bishop
I would really like to see Daredevil swing on his baton like in his comics.

yeah, curse, good idea! and create a hero would be cool. to give a list of all the animations for melee and pick each move as desired. create powers, skins, different abilities as well.

Agile heroes doing aerials (no-handed cartwheels) as a dodge maneuver for the right side, handsprings for the left, backflips for dodging back, and somersaulting as dodging forward, like in the original MUA. I can only imagine...
Yeah, I could go for that. More class-based animation. If it's a big bruiser he shouldn't move the same as someone like Elektra, and if they're agile they should do agile moves. Good call.

i'd so like to kick galactus' a$$ with him. Also storylines like stopping a rampaging hulk and then he becomes playable or something. Also banter within the characters and that. Dunno about create-a-hero though tbh, don't think it'd fit too well. And also a little bit more diversity with the simulator missions, it was kind of dull running through the same old levels everytime with a diff. character just to fight a boss you already have to fight in-game. AND MORE DEADPOOL :)
Here are some features I would enjoy:
Higher Difficulty: The games tasks and bosses should be harder, I disliked it how the game made everyone sound so hard when it was really easy.
Better Comic Book Missions: Another thing I disliked is that the game used the characters already ingame for comic book missions and some of these villians were definatley not their biggest ones! (except for Hawkeye's on PSP) the comic missions should have a characters biggest foe to fight on their comic mission, aswell as the same place where they fought them recreated for the mission. Here are several examples on who some of the characters' comic misions against should be in the next game:
Spider-Man vs. Venom
Wolverine vs. Sabertooth
Iceman vs. Pyro
Thing vs. Puppet Master
Iron Man vs. Mandarin
Daredevil vs. Kingpin
I'll see what else I can think of for other features in the game.
The only NEW X-man they should add is Professor Xavier and maybe Cable. Too many X-men in alliance ruins the game. So the X-men list in alliance should read: Wolverine, Storm, Iceman & Professor Xavier, Deadpool & Magneto. Maybe put Cable in the game. But Xavier is a MUST he was excellent in legends 2.
But get rid of Cyclops, Sabretooth, Nightcrawler and Collosus. They don't need to be there. Too many X-men will ruin the game. Save them for a legends 3.
As for the villans. They should be. Galatacus, Thanas, Kingpin, Carnage and Proteus, Dark Phoenix and The Hellfire Club.
There needs too be a higher difficulty too. Hard was too easy. And the game needs to have more acts.
Oh and add Punisher too. He hould have been there from the start. Keep everyone else and turn Doom into a good guy.
More acts? Critics from IGN say that it takes 20 hours to complete the game itself!
Punisher wasn't in because THQ owned rights for him. Still, BliZZ is working on a mod that is in post-production.
Deadpool isn't really an X-Man. I don't really know why he's in XML2...:scratchhead:

Didn't he join them for a bit as there's some pics of Deadpool in an X-Men outfit? Plus he's part of the 'X-Universe' and, in GLA/Deadpool, Deadpool himself claims he is a member of the X-Men (to Storm's protest).

I would really dig some comic book missions based on.....COMIC BOOK MISSIONS. I know some of them are vaguely similar to comic storylines, but my favorite comic book mission so far was in XML1 when you had to play as the Original X-men and stop Juggernaut running through the mansion, because that's in an actual early issue. It just bothered me that the comic book levels were just so poorly put together. You fight him, and your done.
I like the idea of a superspeedster, but some size-changing heroes would be my favorite. Totally need to redesign how the camera follows the characters, and how levels are set up, but if you got to run around New York, Giant Man would be the best!
Another thing I would like is for them not to torture the X-Men so much in the next game, too many terrible things happened to them in the first game.

Making the grand total of playable characters fifty, which seems to be a pretty good number, in my opinion.
From there, I would like to see move branchs more similar in relation to XML2, though keeping the same free-point moving system from MUA1. That is just a personal preference on that call though.
For costumes, I would like to see a depature from the four-costume with set abilities introduced. But, modified it would not be overly bad. Each character has there set of costumes, for example, say Cyclops has all the outfits he did from XML2. In MUA2, each character has those traits in the costumes, though they can be willingly spent and freely moved into any costume. So, keeping with Cyclops, he would list something like:
XP
Beam Damage
Melee Damage
Max Health
Max Energy
Protective Force
Reflect Damage
So on, so forth. Certain characters would have different traits as well (Iceman having cold related traits, while a character like Ghost Rider would not). Then, you can move one of these traits into a custom, and exchange them from an extraction point. However, you cannot take points out of a custom (similar to MUA1).
Levels, eh. I think A lot has been covered in the XML/MUA games so far. Nexus of Realities and Asteroid M are a couple I did not see (I never beat Legends 1, so if the latter was there, my bad). The Exiles home base is another one that could be traveled to, along with the Initiative headquarters.
From the comics, make note or reference to events like Secret Wars (both), Secret Invasion, Civil War, World War Hulk, Onslaught/Heroes Reborn, etc etc. Some tongue-in-cheek stuff I suppose.
For villains (minor and major) I'd like to see:
-Minister Sinister: Keeping in line with the XML2 ending, I think Sinister could be pulled off as a side villain nicely.
-Galactus: I guess 'dur' is a good one here.
-Thanos: Surprised not to see him to be honest. Note to the Infinity Gauntlet would be good here, maybe even a smark remark to 'Marvel: The End'.
-Annihilus: I think I spelled that wrong, but regardless, I think this would be an interesting character to use, considering his past with the F4, and Surfer/Skrull/Nova.
-The Galacti (Zombie Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man, and Iron Man): The New F4 encountered them in 616, so I do not see why they could not be a sub-battle you encounter (a la dark clones in MUA or genetic clones in XML2). Be some interesting dialogue too, especially with Magneto or their counterparts.
-Vulcan: I could see this being an interesting battle, having energy being a near immunity to this character.
-Green Goblin: I was surprised he was not in the first game.
-Doctor Octopus: Same as Goblin.
There are a lot more to choose from, not sure who else to add there.
A return to XML-style items would also be nice. Gets kind of boring when Blackheart's Corruption, Norn Stones, Spider's Bite (etc etc) or about the prime items. Character specific items are nice, but nothing like the special items. Also, having the three slots was nice...
Eh, I would go up and add costumes to the above lists, but I am getting lazy... That is pretty much just a rough idea of how I would like to see MUA2, but that is just me.
Give me Howard the Duck as a playable character or as a NPC and I'll be happy.
Ugh, that is what I forgot to put in. If the Nexus was a location of visit, then there could be an NPC of both Howard the Duck and Man-Thing (I do not see either being playable).

Dimension hopping perhaps to allow characters like AOA Sabretooth to make an appearance?

i would like to see more xmen characters b/c they're like the most popular group in marvel and i like the idea as playing as some bad guys but it have to make sense like there's no way that someone like green goblin would want to help out spider man it jst wouldn't make sense. one thing i didn't like was the fact they added spider woman but they didn't punisher, i have nothing against spider woman i just never heard of her while every one know who punisher is. i also want to the symbiotes have a role in the story.
IMO, I feel that the X-Men have gotten too much attention in the videogaming sector of Marvel Entertainment.

What about different playable characters for different locations/acts? Just an idea to push the limit of playable characters? Or to get something like the heroselect program in-game?
Also, I want a story and line-up based mainly on existing teams, like X-Men :xmen_logo: :xavier:, The Brotherhood :magneto:, The Avengers/Ultimates :capamer: :stark:, The Defenders :strange: :silvers:, F4 :fantastic: :iwoman: :humant: :thing:, Knights :daredevil: :ifist:, SHIELD (which isn't really a team, but they have their heroes and agents, too) aaaaaand Thunderbolts :venom:. Those were all important to me! Also for the villains there could go teams, although it's much more difficult to find some that fit the story.
Third, it wouldn't be too bad for me if ULTIMATE Alliance gets a little bit more ULTIMATE, because I think it's a great storyline, that should be expanded and become more popular.

I think that villians should be in the game without interupting the story's plot. Ex: Like in one level, you walk into a room and see Bullseye, then you have to fight him. He surrenders and joins your team. After you win you see a message that says "You've unlocked Bullseye" and he's in your roster.
I wouldn't think that would be good, because if you go over and do the game again, the villains in your roster will just be storykillers.

I think collecting things to unlock a character is fine.
Since they like to do different difficulty settings, why not 3 characters getting unlocked after beating each difficulty.
I think they should definitely allow you to recruit characters from the base levels. I hate when you have to save a character or they're in a level with you then they go back to the base and just stand their with nothing good to say. That's a waste of a character.
Don't get me wrong. I like having NPC's of course, but when the NPC could so easily become playable, it's kind of annoying that they aren't.
Anyhoo. I'm sure there's tons more I would like to see in it but I can't think anymore because my brains melted from the heat. :ugh:

MORE PLAYABLE HEROES, you can't get enough of them... What i don't want is being teased with heroes and then don't be able to play with them (ex: Vision XD)... It would be cool that things worked like they did with Ironman (if he is on your team, he is NOT an NPC, if he is NOT on your team you can interact with him in Stark Tower), that's a clever way of making an NPC a playable character WITHOUT breaking the story AT ALL... i want that for some characters...
"Real Comic" Playables Heroes... by this i mean "REAL COMICBOOK"... Silver Surfer should be the most unbalanced playable character in the game period. It's kind of lame to play as him and feeling SO weak. After all, if you choose him, you want to feel powerfull, not just have a shinny effect...
I don't mean making the game unbalaced (not in EVERYCASE at least) but making it more comic like. Different Tier of Heroes with Different Tier of Villain will ensure a more "real" experience...

I completely agree, it always pisses me off, seing Vision and not being able to play as him, or seeing all those inhumans and not getting to fight at least one of them.

I believe they could use some items, not only mere inferior melee weapons like pipes, but actually some useful stuff, like temporary shields, or stealth suits, or jetpacks. Note I am all referring to Renegade Squadron. :laugh:
Free roam levels, less console exclusive characters (that means more characters on each system), more than four characters at a time, some dogfights (air battles like :silvers: versus :genis:), and more than ten people on a team!
And the create-a-character feature. Maybe even an ADAPTIVE difficulty (You clear a map, and the game adjusts itself to fit your way of playing. If you suck, the enemies are taken out with two hits. If it's too easy, the game will adjust from "Too easy" to "Why won't you die?")
(I hope Asgard isn't in the sequel. Please, don't make that place in the sequel)

Like Spidey's web swing in Friend or Foe.
In FoF (PSP), Spidey could swing as long as he wants, but it expends his energy meter.

Also, a intro were you start with one hero, but you get all the way to six during the first part. Like you start with Captain America, you race down a street, Spidey joins, go up a building, Wolvey joins, go further up, get Iron Man, etc.
Also, with the 6 characters, a thing that allows you to swap a character for another. For example, you got Spidey, Mr fantastic, deadpool, Captain Marvel, Rogue, and Moon Knight. Deadpool is nearly dead and he can't heal with baddies beating him. You press a button and you change out one character for another! That way, characters can heal and you get four playable at a time!
Also, better character class. I mean, Spidey, Deadpool, Daredevil, and Black Panther are agile warriors, yet they move very similar to bigger characters.
And put Red Sonja

The only place I think its good in is the xtremes but they should just have xtremes and when you fill another gauge you get the fusion xtreme.
Fusion powers are a great idea, but they shouldn't replace Xtremes, which they seem to be doing. Also, if they don't replace Xtremes, I want the choice to not execute everyone's Xtreme at once. I hated that about MUA1.
Hey, good call Venom! It would indeed be interesting to see a Fusion Xtreme.
There's another thing that bothers me about Fusion powers is the number of them. If each pair of characters has a Fusion power, then with 24 characters there would be 276 different Fusion powers. Taking into account that each character in MUA had 9 powers (considering Xtremes), and if these powers take the same amount of time and space to program than regular powers, we're talking they're spending the same resources they would spend making 30 characters.
So maybe that's why there are less characters in MUA2. Or maybe there's heavy recycling of animations and effects (for example, Invisible Woman-Ms. Marvel fusion is the same as IW-Iron Man's). Or maybe not every pair of characters have a Fusion power, which would suck if your favorite character doesn't have a fusionable partner in your team. Then it would extra-suck if there aren't any Xtremes.
If it's the first of those things, then DLC characters is also pretty unlikely.

Regarding, the title, I think:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Civil War! (with the exclamation mark) would fit.
Overload also suggested a good name. But that sounds pretty emo.
Nothing to do with the title but I just got done play the Incredible Hulk game, and though most didn't like it I thought it was great. I hope, pray, wish, plead that I will be able to run around the free roam New York from this game with all my Ultimate Alliance Characters, it's a huge map that contains so many Marvel New York landmarks: Stark Tower, The Baxter Building, Nelson and Murdock, it just goes on and on. All me to fly around as the Torch or let me ride Ghost Riders bike around and you have the best super hero video game in history.
What do you think abou something like Own Hero Creator?
well....then it woudnt realy be marvel ultimate alliance...maybe as its own game.

In MUA 2 the story needs new hero. This hero is yours heroe, created by yourself.
well, if it comes out on pc(please!) and if its moddable(please)and if u or some1 can make ur character mod its as easy as that...lol :P
A character creator would be nice, but then would not be Marvel.
The character creator idea might work if it was more a 'character modifier'. That is be able to choose things like which bow Hawkeye uses, Punisher's guns, that kind of stuff. Little details would be fun like that.
But really only after I've played through it. I mean, if they have time left over before the game is released, by all means add some visual customization. But polish the current game first. They've got really big shoes to fill.
whoa, i was just about to say something similar but more along the lines of power customization. as in chooze one upgrade and your powerset turns out this way. choose the other and it turns out that way...

Villians should include: Doctor Doom, Magneto, Loki, Mystique, Toad, Sabretooth ect.
NPC's should be Nick Fury, Black Widow, Professor X, Lilandra, Vision, Hank Pym.
All I have to say is that characters had better well get their Animated Series costumes. (particularly X-Men better have the Jim Lee costumes)
Yeap, the Jim Lee's era was AWESOME... but i must admit i am a big fan of Ultimate and Astonishing X-Men costumes too ^^
I would like to have a nice amount of X-MEN... I know most people will say that there X-MEN Legends but in a Marvel Ultimate Alliance there should be at least 10 X-MEN... AT LEAST (i know, most people want to kill me right now XD)...
Wolvie is a MUST (coolest X-MEN alive, personal favorite)
My other 9 "wish list" would be:
Jean Grey (very versatile... fun to play)
Cyclops (BORING... but still... it's a must have)
Beast (never player XML 1... ergo, wanna play him ^^)
Iceman (AWESOME! MUST HAVE!)
Angel (it's about time!!!)
Yeap, the 5 original x-men... but that is unlikely... still it would rock! Plus
Colossus (fastball special, 'nough said!)
Storm (same as Jean, versatility, fun to play as)
Nightcrawler (AWESOME! MUST HAVE)

I would REALLY like to see all these characters playable... as some other Marvel's heroes...

I would lose any sleep if Cyclops isn't in the game. I'm sick of him as a playable.
You know I wish they would do something like if you had Nick Fury on your team all of your commands come from Maria Hill or something, you put Black Widow on your team and she is no longer at the base. It wouldn't be to hard to write a code like that, if the player is on a team, they no longer are an NPC. simple
I would like:
- More than 24 characters
- More than 5 female characters
- Jean Grey, Storm, Invisible Woman, Ms. Marvel, Elektra, Black Widow, Spider-Woman, Scarlet Witch, Psylocke, Emma Frost,... popular choice enough!
- 4 X-men in every version of the game
- A complete "Original Defenders"- team
- Dr. Strange, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Namor
- Since it's confirmed that villains will be playable (although I wished not), only 2 other villains beside Green Goblin and Venom.
- Magneto and Dr. Doom, they can have realistic reasons to side with the heroes and you'll have a "Villain"-team.
- Original moves and powers for each character and not just a colorchange.
- I'll give fusions a chance, but I hope Xtremes are still in and they should be gigantic, over-the-top and original, maybe with a cutscene or something.
- No more costumes with passives, they should be purely artistic and passives should be standard, like in XML.
- A deeper upgrading and skillpoint adding system (+ more item slots, like in XML)
- No possibility to talk to yourself in the game, like Nick Fury talking to Nick Fury, crazy!
- More platforming (searching, jumping, building bridges, flying, clearing obstacles with specific powers)
- More challenging puzzles and bosses
- More collectibles in the game, although they did a great job with MUA
- Return of the Danger Room where you can play as the enemies as well.
- More in-game character specific quotes while playing. No irritating, repeating "You mind lending me a hand" (Spider-man). Let the characters interact with each other while they fight, stand, or walk.

I always have thought they should have character specific dialog, if you had Spidey and Human Torch on your team there would be some pretty good banter, but we never get to hear any of that.

I want a certain intelligence level for charecters(just like might)so it would prevent dumb scenarios like in XML2 it was quite ridiculous looking at :juggernaut: using consoles or accessing computers.I really hated it.Heroes like :spiderman: :fantastic:etc should have Intelligence so theiy could access consoles thus eliminating ridiculous scenes as I mention above.
Like another poster has said already for a Marvel game I would like a secret(1-3) war/infinity (gauntlet,war&crusade) story but a what if take so they can take a new angle.
That will have alot of stages and characters to choose from plus it would be cool to see eternal/infinity adam warlock and the watchers doing their thing.
I would like to see xcalibur memebers like Captain Britain imo is better then America/agent. I would prefer Havok to Cyclops like to see pete wisdom hot knives guy from old excalibur team and Racheal Summers.
For new xmen game I would like the adaptation of 90 xmen cartoon episode beyond good and evil which will still have cause effect aspect like Mua1.
I would like to see them learn how to make the characters more super hero for example Snowblinds who made DC game let characters still fly and pick objects and smash them and still have access to powers.
I would like storm to have full lightning glory for chain lightning like xm1
In light of Midway using DC characters I would of like Marvel/DC just making a viable story is a problem.
i think they should add more xmen (have you seen my board name?) and if there has to be villians, you should only be able to play as them on bonus missions
i also think that the game should have just a plain and simple standard version with the main story, but when it gets to medium level, they should add characters and levels
that would really encourage people to play the harder levels!
NO MORE THAN 4 X-MEN. If they add anymore they will ruin the game. There are so many other worthy marvel characters that haven't had a chance yet like Punisher. Plus I'd much rather they make a legends 3 game than totally mess up the civil war story arc. Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine and Emma Frost should be the ones they consider.
