yay! finally! too bad they TOTALLY SCREWED HIM UP IN THE MOVIE! <sigh>
As I said before, they can easily "fix" what you consider broken. It's not that hard to write it so it satisfies comic fans. But it's not like they had lots of time to explain his powers and how he got to be how he is.
I haven't seen the new Wolverine movie yet, but it is a different universe after all. Besides, from what I gather Ryan Reynolds is a huge Deadpool fan and he said in an interview that he was disappointed with the Wolverine version of Deadpool and that if he goes back to Deadpool in a spin-off he wants it to be true to the comic version.
You guys gotta remember too that the movie was only setting up Deadpool - his regeneration, teleportation, etc. They can go any way with it in the next movie to explain how he lost the optic blasts and the swords got removed from his arms.
I haven't seen Wolverine, but does it say that Deadpool has a teleportation device? I agree, in movies that they "mess up" they'll be able to fix.
No. Stryker implants powers into Deadpool. The teleportation was from Kestrel.
They could say that the process was incomplete so the powers were only temporary and the trauma of it all made him insane. I know that they didn't go into why he joined Weapon X so there's still a back story to be fleshed out.
Didnt one of the doctors tell Stryker the process wasnt done when he said to launch Deadpool? That is pretty much how they can explain away most of his added powers, they could even say his new healing factor fixed all the added powers like they were some sorta disease.
or maybe after he got "killed" in wolverine his healing factor kicked in and regenerated his body but at the cost of sword arms, laser attacks, and good looks.
Any of this theories would be good, just please! Let it be a good Deadpool movie!
Personally, I'd rather wait 4 years for Fox's character license to expire and just have Marvel Studios make a DP movie.
Aside from the fact that Fox half-asses everything, I just don't like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
Deadpool doesn't use dry wit or snappy comebacks.
He says the stupidest possible thing and pretends it was witty.
If you ask me, Sean William Scott (Stifler from American Pie) would make the perfect DP.
If you haven't seen it yet, go rent "Role Models". The "eagle mating" scene will sell you on him, just as did me.
I don't care who plays it, just be Deadpoolish. Personally, I want him in his classical masked outfit.
I always thought Henry Rollins should be Deadpool.
I think that Ryan Renolds could pull it off though.

Ditto. Reynolds just doesn't cut it as our favorite merc-with-a-mouth.

Your opinion is fail.
Ryan Reynolds didn't play
Deadpool, he played
Wade Wilson before he got the healing factor/went insane. Pre-Deadpool he surely wasn't as insane/off color. And he did so beautifully.
I think Reynolds is gonna be awesome as DP! Just watch Blade Trinity! He was as annoying and crazy as DP can be, as Hannibal King! With all those stupid jokes that made everyone nuts and wanting to kick his butt!
I can just hope, that this will be a "normal" Deadpool. (Classic Deadpool that is.)
I dunno. I don't want a carbon-copy of comic Deadpool. It needs to be faithful to it, but I don't mind if they change him a little bit.
They will need a really good writer. Someone who manages to make his breaking-the-fouth-wall work in movies, cause otherwise it will end up really cheesy.
Don't let it be the guy who wrote the Dragonball Evolution movie. He would get killed for even trying to write the script XD (ye dragonball fan :P )

Oh yeah! That movie is ridiculous! Just imagine a "Japanese" alien pictured like the average American teen, having erotic day dreams during class! That's completely ridiculous not to say offensive to the original story! And let's not even say Chow as Kame... Poor Master Kame...

Pfft.
What do you mean "beautifully"? He had two subpar lines, which he read with no pizazz whatsoever, and then swung a couple swords around like a cheerleader with a baton....
SOMEONE CALL THE OSCAR COMITTEE!He didn't play
Wade Wilson.
He played
VanWilder, just like he does in every movie he's in.
Dude can't act his way out of a paper bag.
The only comic book character he should ever be allowed to play is Multiple Man; and only because they began modeling the character after him.
It thought he was great. He was subtlety cynical like I always pictured "Wade" being before he became "Deadpool". Now, that being said if they don't amp up the crazy factor in the Deadpool movie then I'll agree with you. But considering he hadn't gone nuts yet I though the subtle approach was perfect.

I totally agree with you. I'm a Dragon Ball fan too and that film just stinks. I hope this Deadpool movie will be worth to see (Sorry if my English is bad.).

Yeah, I agree, cause he was a reasonably normal human before he became, well, crazy. If they don't make him crazy in the Deadpool movie, curse the script writer and everyone that hepled in that movie! Unless, of course, he turns crazy in the end of the Deadpool movie.
I'd love it if he was somewhat crazy at the beginning, but gets more and more crazy as the movie goes on. That'd be pretty fitting of what he went through.
Yeah, probably. But then only Deadpool fans would know how he became crazy. As you say: he wasn't crazy in Wolverine. Say someone who doesn't know much 'bout Deadpool watches Wolverine. Deadpool is relatively normal. Then, later, he goes to Deadpool when it comes out. He wouldn't know how\why Wade got so crazy. Get my point?
Or you could ignore my previous post and consider this: what if Weapon X turns him crazy in the beggining of the movie? Or is that what you were saying...
Pretty much. The experimentation on him drives him slowly insane, just like it did in the comics.
or you could have someone comment on how he starts going crazy, like weapon x scientists knowing he'll go crazy because the experiment damaged him, but still using him to take down wolverine.
Poor Wolverine won't stand a chance :D. But, I guess your idea could work: less finding out how; more Deadpool-ness.
im glad there making a DP movie! i really want to know more about him and he wasnt show up that much in X-men origins to me!
but i also heard about X-men origins:wolverine 2! aparentlly its to be set in Japan ! im hopeing to see abit of Psylocke :D
but DP movie sounds awsome!
It won't make sense to show more of Psylocke in a Wolverine 2 movie, even if it's set in Japan! Her origin is England. We could see more of Yukio, an ally to the X-Men, though!
If it's in Japan then it'll probably set the scene for Lady Deathstrike and could have a Sunfire cameo.
True!
And hey, a Sunfire cameo would be awesome! Silver Samurai... Who else?
What about Wolverine's wife? Or is she already dead?

ive got nothing against Reynolds, its the writers, wardrobe and special effects people i have a problem with. cant blame the actor for a badly written and designed character.
I do also get what you are saying about not wanting an exact copy Teancum, but laser eyes, Baraka arms and no mouth? i paid zero attention to the movie after i saw that. I also cant wait for their licence to expire, so Marvel Studios can take over and end the screwing around with the x-men storylines that have been going on. Marvel Studios managed to make a damn good movie out of Hulk, wich was terrible. I think x-men is still salvagable.
