I love the roster but just like many others I would trade out some characters for others.
Also for those of you who don't have a 360 or PS3 then don't put Juggs for a character you would want replaced as it really doesn't matter then. Only characters you have access to.
Penance - Moonstone
I really don't care for Penance and he fits better as an NPC. I chose Moonstone cause we need four Thunderbolts and I'm kinda sick of Hawkeye and I really hate his character now. Monstone would be cool cause she adds more females, and has really cool powers.
Gambit - Cyclops
Don't get me wrong I like Gambit but I rather have Cyclops. Cyclops, Jean, Wolvie, and Storm are the heart and soul of the X-Men and I would love a team with those four. Plus now Jean and Scott can be together with Reed and Sue for a Double Date.
Iron Fist - Elektra
I have never really cared much for Iron Fist and I like Luke Cage so I don't need Iron Fist to enjoy Cage. I prefer Elektra with her martial arts and I think she is awesome and one of Marvel's most known females. THis time she should fit into a Odd Couples team bonus with DD. The other pair would have to be Wolverine and Jean I guess.
Secret Character #1 - Spider-Woman
Spider-Woman is a very popular character in Marvel and I think NEw Avengers needs another female besides Ms. Marvel as she is a new member.
Secret Character #2 - Dr. Strange
Marvel needs a magician in my opinion and who better to fill that role than Dr. Strange. With a magic character we will have all roles for the game filled.
Juggernaut - Scarlet Witch (I have a 360 so I can replace him)
Scarlet Witch isn't to popular, but she is wanted by many so she can boost sales for the 360/PS3 and people will pre-order. It's great cause another female, magic character, Avenger, and popular. I always have liked her anyway.
If I had room others I would include, or readd would be.....
Gambit, Psylocke, Punisher, Black Cat, Emma Frost, Rogue, Shadowcat, Polaris, Wasp
Penance, Gambit, Iron Fist and Juggy are good for me, and I would use Dr. S and S-W too. I think, the current roster is fine.

I don't think 'Cat has been represented well enough. Yeah, you can play her in Friend or Foe, but even then I think there's much more that can be done to make her fun.

Penance for Hawkeye: I just dislike Penance too much. Speedball wasn't a great character to beginn with, and somehow they made him even less interesting. And Hawkeye, as a wise man said, is full of awesome.
Juggernaut for Magneto: If there's one thing I've learned about myself while playing and modding MUA, is that Magneto is probably my favourite Marvel character (even though if you ask me, I'd say it's Iron Man). Besides that, magnetism, Havok physics and ultra-destructive environments provide some incredible potential for powers, and they've still got to make a Magneto that really shows just how powerful the Master of Magnetism really is.
Jean Grey for Emma Frost or Psylocke: I don't care which it is as long as it's not that flaming pigeon.
Juggernaut for Hawkeye: Who needs another bruiser when trick arrows are just so cool?
Character-who-will-never-be-revealed-but-is-most-likely-to-be-Nick-Fury-if-the-leaked-list-is-to-be-believed for Moon Knight: Moon Knight is just cool and Deadpool shouldn't have the monopoly on insane anti-heroism.
Penance - Quicksilver
I want the Magnus family to be in the game for a good bouns: Family Affair like in XMLII.

I would replace The Thing, Luke Cage, and Thor. I would probably put in Emma Frost, Black Cat, and not too sure who I would put in for the third slot. Any choice I could think of isn't a popular character so there would really be no chance of them making the list. Jubilee would be great since I loved her powers in XML and would love to see how they could update her!

I'd add Wanda here and give her 360/PS3 slot to Psylocke as Psylocke is my 2nd fav character. The exclusive counts for the 30 roster so I have 2 slots left. Black Cat is one as I really would love to play as her and the last slot goes to Shulkie as she is another Avenger, and I loved her in the FF. I'd use her even if she clashes the story as she is an NPC. Too bad I can't fit Emma.

I actually love to see Rouge in a new game. She was a favorite of mine in XML and I found her lacking in XLM2. I think she might need an update for MUA soon enough...
I would add Bishop to it. But the real one, who can, as a passive, absorb energy and use it. Fusion with his Energy and Gun combined. Add Gambit, who can turn every weapon into a kinetic bomb or so.
Add Blade ala Wesley Snipes style please. God I hated the MUA version. I might wanna redo him, making him more acrobatic and stuff.
Anyway, for one more villain, Scorpion.

I think that Jean Grey is one of the most important characters of Marvel but I think that she doesn't fit in this game mainly because she's dead (or in the White Hot Room you can say whatever you want). In the case that they don't want to put all the characters like the comics I would replace Jean Grey for Emma Frost (a psychic is always necessary) or the Scarlet Witch (I think she's better than Doctor Strange)...
And then there's Daredevil...I don't like Daredevil and he wasn't in the Civil War (well, there was one Daredevil but he was Iron Fist really), so he should be changed for the Black Cat.
The rest of characters are fine in my opinion.
I don't think that Jean is that important. Well, Dr. Strange is better I think, but none of them is in the roster.
Strange and Wanda are equal to me so I couldn't ever decide between the two. I also think Jean is important having been one of Marvel's leading ladies and even in the White Hot Room she is and she is a very popular X-Men which means something in Marvel with the large number of X-Men.
I would replace Deadpool and Ms. Marvel with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Glad to see Iceman there!
Well I don't particularly like Iceman too much. I know nobody else really has ice powers like him and he's unique and all, but I'd still get rid of him anyway. I don't like having playable villains in a hero game, even if they are working for the good guys now. So Goblinator and Venom have to go. Songbird? No. I'd love to see Rogue in the game. There are several X-Men I'd like to have, but can't have too many because the game should include as many characters from different comic books as possible. I don't really like Luke Cage either, but he's on Captain America's side. I absolutely hate Iron Man and want nothing more than to see him burn in hell (Batman is the better billionaire with super cool suits and gadgets crime fighter anyway.... Bruce Wayne > Tony Stark always), so Cage gets points in my book. To be honest though, I wish the Civil War never happened. It was the stupidest thing and stood against almost everything heroes have been doing since the dawn of time, and that was to protect their identities to keep loved ones from harm, and avoid oppression by being controlled by those who know who they are. They also killed off a super icon, Captain America. How the hell can you do that? I mean seriously that almost made me hate Marvel. If it weren't for the X-Men I would've left Marvel for good because of that. Anyway, if I had it my way and the roster was super huge, I'd like to have these X-Men:

Well, no, sorry. I'm quite sad, that Sentry is a Nintendo DS exclusive, cause I would have been happy, to play with him. And Juggernaut is not that kind of Exclusive I think. He is more like a Pre-order bonus, but still: X360 and PS3 gots one exclusive, while the other platforms two or three? Not fair!
Oh, well that's sad news. Maybe DLC then. I've got these mods to play them so that will be good.

I'm glad they took some chances by including the likes of Sonbird, Penance and Iron Fist this time around--but I'm very "meh" on the whole villains/Thunderbolts thing. Emma Frost > Jean Grey in personality and playability IMHO. With the proper coding I think Emma Frost would be a great playable--with a proper diamond form she could function as a tank, with her psi powers she could be ranged/crowd control. I think they have kinda pinned themselves in a corner with the game though, since there's not much use for anything besides physical or energy attacks and you're basically just button-mashing. Characters like Wiccan and Dazzler have a very versatile/diverse range of powers--not to mention very visual. Hawkeye and Black Widow were loads of fun in MUA--I know I'm probably in the minority but I'm getting soooo sick of Deadpool in these games. I'm still surprised Spider-Woman is missing since not only was she a fun playable but she's had quite a prominent role the past few years. Never been big on Cloak & Dagger, but with their dual nature and his teleportation/dark dimension abilities it could be fun and interesting.

totally agree with this, i loved Hawkeye and Black Widow in MUA, and i guess im part of that minority too because im sick of Deadpool as a playable character.

Cage is really cool but I don't want to many brusiers and Lorna is cool with magnetic powers
Juggs has no reason to be in so I pick Dazzler as Tetragene's mod has inspired me.

see, deadpool is currently the only gun character, the only teleporter, and he's a great plot device. i can see how hulk, thing and juggs can be repetitive in the bruier catagory, but cage seems to be (more) unique if only because he has plot importance and he caries a chain.

Luke Cage (and Spider-Woman) really grew on me since New Avengers started. Luke > Thing and Juggernaut, for me anyway. I'm still scratching my head over Juggernaut though. He was over in New Excalibur when Civil War went down... so if they weren't bothered including characters that had nothing to do with the storyline (Juggs, Gambit, Jean Grey, Deadpool) then why waste a spot on yet another bruiser/tank when there were plenty with more interesting/versatile powers that also had no role in Civil War? Part of the fun in these superhero games are the characters' crazy, visual powers. IMHO it's a bummer when they dedicate slots to so many bruisers/scrappers/gunsman.

I don't think he belonged in XML2 as a playable (nor did Iron Man when there were so many X-Men members that still weren't playable: Shadowcat, Banshee, Dazzler, Emma, etc) and I could see him in MUA. But it looks like they want to make him a mainstay for these types of games and I'd much rather them give other characters a chance to shine, he's had his in the past 3 games (MUA2 included)

And to stay on topic, i would change Deadpool for Hawkeye. I was really hoping Hawkeye would be in right from the start, he's pretty unique and was awesome in MUA1.
Yeah he is back in my roster and I enjoy him so I do wish he was there instead of Deadpool.

Well, the developers said, that they want to include characters for the story, characters they like and characters, who are loved by the fans.
