OK, the fact that I'm even asking this question will show that I know nothing about Marvel vs Capcom, but are the characters Morrigan and Chun Li from an old game called Darkstalkers?

Morrigan Is From Darkstalkers and Chun-li is from Street fighter. :P
lol, poor Fox, Do you plan on Getting MVC3? Morrigan is a favorite of mine! Although I have never played Darkstalkers or Streetfighter I know what games they are from, because of mvc and the internet :P
I have to say that Chun-Li, along with Ryu, always being around in Capcom Vs. crossover game series.
Morrigan has pretty much been in all of them, except Streetfight vs X-Men

No, not unless it comes out on PC, which I don't think it will. I liked Morrigan too. I played Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (at least that's what I think it was) on my cousin's PS2 a few years ago. I don't know why, but I liked that game!
I want to play them! But dont have them, nor do I have the money to get them, but yes I love Morrigan she is so AWESOME!
