Hi, sorry for not answering earlier. I have a complain about the numbering. your Captain Britain is using the 170xx slots, wich are already taken by the latest Hulk Mod (and it's numbered based on the DLC... :(). I'll try it anyway.

So far, Capt. B's powers don'r show, like there's a link missing to the talents/powerstyle. I don't know if I'm making some mistake extracting the files. Or does anyone else have that problem?
Damned Hulk, always stealing my limelight (i checked 170xx when i started the mod and it seemed ok, what did you change it to?)
Do none of the powers work on all the costumes cos I haven't had that problem (although I did make it so I'm less likely to be able to discover the problem, I'll have a route around in my files and see what i should have...)
Did you manage to get Wisdom done ok then? I was probably gonna see about what other mods were available for an Excalibur team so I may have to try them all out...

EDIT: Has anyone else discovered this problem with the lack of powers? - Did you rename the files to fit in with the Hulk as thats the only problem that I can think of that may be occuring...
The Boy Sanga, it's hard to find a slot that no one is using or will be using. So, it would be safe to use some of slots used by characters that no one will make a mod of. For example,

mantis_bot has only one skin, so you can use 6902 onwards for your Cpt. B. skins.

Hi, and no, there isn't any power, but I copied in such a hurry to test it that I might be wrong. I'll check the packages, anyway. And I didn't rename your files, just backed up Hulk's and played Cap as it was.
I'm still working on Wisdom, won't be too far from BP power wise, with a new balance and a little Fury an DP in there. It's more a matter of anims. A cool addition to a Excalibur team could be a Rachel skin or a Rachel Mod.
Oh, and iammingy's idea is simply brilliant.
Right, I've changed all the file names (thanks to iammingy) in packages etc and it should work with no conflict (hopefully)
For Excalibur, there's also Psylocke available and Dazzler (if you fancied new excalibur - unless its a different Dazzler...)

Now it works like a charm. Good ideas with the mixing of Thor's animations to make new powers. Really liked how you figured out that airborne one. Now, about the sceptre and Excalibur, I think that as long as the weapons are not a essential part of the powerstyle or fightstyle (like in DP, NC, Ronin, Hawkeye, Fury, etc.), they all should be kept as they are. Not saying I wouldn't enjoy a good surprise.
EDIT: And don't forget Juggernaut for the Excalibur team.

Yeah all his powers should work (little stretched for ideas really so i hoped they worked ok).
@boreman also, for Excalibur (classic) you could potentially use the Rachel Summers iammingy released (I think...)
Not too clued up on Excalibur directly as I've mainly read the Cap's solo stuff (does Nocturn have the same powers as Nightcrawler?)
As for weilding Excalibur and the Star Sceptre (or perhaps the Cap's original quarterstaff as a mod of moon knight's may be possible - still rather new to this modding stuff) they would probably be just for animation puropses but I gota try and find a way of 'attatching' them. I know that when I didn't properly edit the powerstyle (from Luke Cage's) for the sweep attack he'd use a chain so I'll see if i can use something along those lines to try and add a sword...

Costume bolton's looking doubtful but I'm currently attempting the comic book mission...
The mod just didn't work for me, I'm afraid.
None of the powers showed up, no matter how much I tried different possibilities. Additionally, there were none of the add-ons for the costumes.
Oh well--I'll keep checking back for later versions. I've grown fond of Captain Britain lately.
To answer some of your questions from earlier...
The Dazzler mod available is the same Dazzler as is currently in New Excalibur (actually, I'm pretty sure that's the only Dazzler in existence).
Nocturne has a number of abilities. She can possess a person's body (leaving their body will knock them unconscious). She can fire projectile attacks that she calls "Hex Bolts" after her mother's (Scarlet Witch) power (although they aren't connected to her mother's powers at all). She also has a very latent telepathy. She also has her father's agility.
Hmmm, which version of the mod did you try (1.1 or 1.2) as it looks like its a package related problem.
I was thinking about looking into a nocturn skin but then realised without doing some heavy modelling (which I cannot do) then it wouldn't look right.
As for Dazzler all the pictures looked different from the one I knew (i.e. pink hair) so i was just confused.
Let me know which mod you tried and I'll look into what's wrong...

As for Dazzler...she dyed her hair. Not sure when though, but it's still Alison Blaire.
And I've got a question (related to both your mod and a ton of other mods...)
For flying characters, is it really difficult to design the flying model for them? I've just noticed that all the custom mods I've seen for flying characters have the same animation (a basic jump pose that hovers in midair without moving) and since I don't mod myself, and noticed it in a lot of mods, I just didn't know if it was really difficult to do for some reason.
Anyway, thanks, I really want to give Captain Britain a try.
Hmm, ok, try installing version 1.1 (try the packages first and if that fails, try the entire mod) over the top of 1.2 and see if that works as the packeages is all I can think of being funny...

as for the flying i think it depends on the animation set you use for the flying as most use the standard poses but i think some (such as iron man) have different animations and i think some don't have any at all
I tried a number of different combinations, but couldn't get him to work.

I take it you've managed to install other mods ok? Otherwise I'm afraid I can't help, sorry. The problem sounds like its to do with the packages...try searching your ultimate alliance directories for captainbritain and 6902,6903,6904 and 6905 cos it could be that you might be missing a file...
i'll go see if i've got those files when on the computer i've got my stuff on. i assume those are .igb files?
And yeah. Done other mods. Currently i have Dazzler, Phoenix, and Quicksilver running.

All the files here should be PKGB files. The Boy Sanga just wanted you to look for something like, "captainbritain_6902.pkgb" (and 03 04 05)
Here you go, what I would consider a 'Final' mod including all of the features of a playable character (excluding sound and simulator...plus others probably...).
Difference from V 1.2 is the added mannequin that may also be downloaded separatally.
Gave up on Comic Simulator due to too much effort required in trying to sort it out, gave up on costume specific boltons as my attempts provided no results.

Thanks! Decided upon The Human Torch's mannequin as it was a 'bald' model without any extra items (guns etc) and the animation was 'in character' (did try default man, 0000.igb, but it has no normal colour map just the lighting one...)

Hmmm, which version did you try? My best answer is probably to try an earlier version. I'll probably do a clean install sometime soon since i've messed up a few of my files anyway so I can do a fresh mod and not have all my files lingering about...
Also, just in case you are doing this, ensure that you don't renumber any of the files as 6901 is used for an inbuilt enemy.

Right, I'm re-installing it now, but as this takes a while I may not be able to try it out until later on today. Still can't think what the problem could be (unless I'm missing files from my original install...).
If i get time there's probably a few modifications I want to make.
Edit: Doubt I'll be able to help any time soon, my pc's seriously messed up due to a failed re-installation. Could you list all of the files numbered 69** and captain britain along with where you're putting them as that might help?
Edit2: Seriously messed up my MUA disc hence the comp failure, not i gotta order a new one... gonna be a bit longer till I can help I'm afraid.
aha finally some success! I went searching through the files and for some reason when I copied all of my captain Britain folders into my MUA directory, instead of merging folders like it should have new folders were being created outside of their rightful spots. I simply cut and paste these wandering files and presto, working Captain Britain moveset with accessory costumes and passives! Thank you so much for your help though!
And I must commend you, for not a ton of options you stretched out his repitoire very nicely. And now I can have an Excalibur to be proud of: Captain Britain, Nightcrawler, Colossus and Shadowcat (just reskinned wolverine and pretended kitty spent 10 years chainsmoking in vegas)

Was thinking of, potentially, re-visiting his moves at some point (as he has no team boosts or projectiles - in one issue he forms his force field into a hand and i think he's been known to fire off projectiles too according to the marvel superheroes game) and potentially a few more skins (such as Captain UK). I'd still like to add the boltons too at some point but I don't know how to make them costume specific.
As for Excalibur, do you know about some of the other mods lying about such as Pete Wisdom, Marvel Girl and Psylocke?
Oh definately, I've tried out like 90% of the mods here. I even have Dazz and Psylocke on my team at the moment and I'm going to give Ol. Mr. Wisdom a try tonight.
Who exactly is Pete Wisdom?
He was english secret agent who worked to a organization named black air, that replace Weird Happenings Organisation (W.H.O.), he start work with excalibur just before age of apocalypse ( if i'm not wrong) and became romantticaly involved with kitty pryde after sometimes he worked in x- force and now returns to new excalibur. His power is some kind of " thermal knives" that come out from his fingers.

Is it only me or does the charge power of Cap Brit look really wired? On my PC he does charge forward, but there is no animation. He just stands up straight. Looks very weird.
Which move do you mean? Airborne Special (I think its called?) Where he flies straight ahead? He's supposed to be flying forwards - unless you also mean Knockback? He actually swings his fist in a circle (when he had the sword bolton you could see the actual movement of his arm). It just moves really quickly.
If ever I get any free time and re-install MUA I'll probably re-visit the mod since I've read a lot more Captain Britain since then...
"Airborne Special" could be right (don't have the game at hand right now). In any case, yep he is flying straight ahead and can be steered a slight bit while doing so. The problem is I'd expect something like a torpedo style movement. That is he is 'flying' with the belly parallel to the ground. However, what he does looks like the model, freezed in the standing animation. Like he has a stick in his a** ;-) Maybe that is how he is supposed to do it (or indeed there should be a bolton or the animation is too fast), but it looks strange.
His actual animation should be the flying one but for some reason I couldn't implement the flying fast movement so I opted for the next best thing - flying slow (arm out, knee bent)- which is why it looks slightly out of place.
It sure beats the repeating one I had in development where it looked like he was riding a horse...

I believe I figured the problem: iammingy, extract the files in a new folder, and if you compare them to the folder in the main MUA directory, you'll see that there are a couple that should be inside other folders. What I mean is that you've got to put the entities, fightstyles and powerstyles folder inside the data folder. I bet that if you check your main MUA folder, you'll find the ones I mentioned in there, but they'll only have Captain Britain's files.
Sorry if I make it sound confusing, I'm better at figuring out problems than explaining them.
EDIT:
In the extracted folder, you'll find the following folders: actors, hud, packages, textures, ui, entities, fightstyles, powerstyles and talents (plus the herostat entry and credits)
actors, hud, textures and ui are ready to be pasted in the main MUA folder.
entities, fightstyles, powerstyles and talents need to be put inside the data folder.
The files inside the packages folder need to be cut and pasted in packages->generated->characters.

EDIT: I think I know why. Your packages are built incorrectly.
First, you don't need to have all of captainbritain_6902, captainbritain_6902_c, captainbritain_6902_nc for 6902
You can throw the _c away... haha. The other 2 should be sufficient.
Second, the entry of actoranimdb doesn't agree with the herostat? You said you wanted Thor's, but I see Iron Man in the packages:

I can see what you mean although I get no animations apart from the standard running etc and he can't fly or double jump! I'll look into my packages and see if i can find any problems there...
I would recommend creating a 69_captbritain.igb and 69_captbritain_4_combat.igb and reference these 2 in the packages and the herostat.

I did all that but it stayed the same. Didn't BliZZ create a special fightstyle default for X-Men legends skins? I remember having to download that for some mods so would that file be needed?
Edit: I added fightstyles_default.igb from the fightstyles pack - has it present when I first created the mod so i didn't think about it. A fixed version should be going up soon...
No, that only affects the normal melee attacks. Cap Britain uses Cap A's, which is fightstyle default. The only thing I have problems with are the power anims and flying anims. I do have the fightstyle_default (captain america's 4_comabat) and all other stuff needed. I will take a look at the powerstyle and packages to see what's going on...
EDIT: I will just wait and try v1.6 then...haha
Oh well I edited the files as you said and it didn't solve the problem then downloaded the fightstyle_default by Blizz and it did! I think the default I'm using may be based off Thor (heard it somewhere - but I don't know where) - all I do know is that for some reason its working again for me and the above is what I did?! Based off iammingy's She Hulk but needs a few tweaks - i.e. when the She Hulk skin is reskinned I get a green glow around the skin and when I reskin the Medusa skin I get a bluey-purply glow (and the offsets are from the forum post...)

Thats cos my skinning techniques at the time sucked so I ended up almost flattening all of the textures, thereby losing all detail. I'm redoing all of the skins (hoping to finish by the end of the week) so watch this space
Well, its been a long time coming, but here are two of those skins I promised. This is likely to be the last version I make (unless people are really deperate) so please enjoy it. Feel free to edit it too (I can provide the raw images etc used if needed) and have fun.
Also included is the Meggan skin posted further up which has had little or no changes to it.

Hi, first of all thanks for the mod, I've always been a fan of Capt. Britain. But I played with it a bit and found several things that would need adjustment. I downloaded the "CaptainBritainFinal" version and used both the default and original costume, in case that matter.
So, here are the problems I found:
- When you hold strong punch and then releases it, Captain just freezes there.
- The sequence weak -> strong does not work, which means Captain can't trip nor stun.
- Captain does not hit enemies on the ground.
- The power where he flies and slams back to the ground would look much better if the "explosion" happened just a little later - as it is, the floor bangs, enemies fly and then Captain reaches the ground. Same for the Xtreme.
Anyway, it still is a great mod and it looks great. ;)
Captain Britain uses a new fightstyle, so make sure you're starting a new game using default stats if you want to see all the animations.
OK, just tried what you suggested, it didn't work - I'm still having the same problems... :(
just wondering, when it says the character has no sounds, does that mean voice effects or sound effects?
I just checked and there's no sound directory in the .rar. So that's a no on both cases.

i have been using the captain britain mod a lot lately. everything seems to work fine except for 1 thing: he can't attack anyone on the ground. i have tried to change coding in the powerstyles and herostat but can't seem to fix the problem. but i will admit that i am extremely new to modding. i tried adding some of thor's powerstat stuff, and oddly enough cap can make a ground attack using the heavy attack button only. i don't know if this is an animation problem or not. if its a code problem i could fix it myself if someone could show me how. if it s an animation problem, someone else will have to fix it, as i do not have the program installed, nor do i understand how to assign animations.
sounds - i have found that some of thors sound files work with capt. specifically i changed the knockback ability to thors mjolnir slam (minus the hammer and the powerup effect), and the sounds work. as a bonus, capt animation #2 just happens to be thors mjolnir slam animation. also playing around, his Jab ability sounds now work, but i don't remember what i changed, if anything. i also played around with his #3 ability, and found that changing it to iron mans Nano assault, or captain marvels #2 ability, that both sounds work.
i changed the knockback ability because i found it kinda lacking, both in animation and ability. it never seemed to actually deal damage or knock back, and the animation for it looks kinda bad. it did occasionally pop up some bad guys though.
overall a good mod, fun to play so far. just wish i could fix the whole 'not attacking enemies on the ground' thing.
If you get all the kinks worked out, maybe you could release your improvements as a Booster.

Big thanks to him for working on this. I haven't played the game for over 2 years and don't even have it any more, so its a shame I can't test this booster out. If ever anyone decides to record a playthrough with it, please let me know.
for anybody downloading the booster... give it a about a week. i gave him a couple of the wrong files. i will get things sorted out before monday.
alrighty, i sent him the new booster files. it was missing an actor file and the herostat to reflect the changes. give it a couple days and he should have the new stuff.

New Version with all sounds and fixes uploaded
Let me see if I have this correct: Is it the booster that is fully fixed or the new version 1.8 of the main mod?
the booster. but the version 1.8 contains all the stuff i didn't change. hopefully everything is working ok. it works fine on my game, but venom64 started a thread saying that capt still couldn't attack on the ground. i tested everything again and double checked and everything still works fine on my pc.
edit: he was right. i started a new game and he was missing his melee animations. worked on it extensively tonight, and sent a new booster to the boysanga. if he doesn't get it uploaded, people can pm me with their email and i can send it too them. Hopefully this will be the last time. I restarted the game 2 more times just to be sure the animations stuck.
New fixed version uploaded
I just downloaded the booster with the file currently there his ground attack animation isn't there. I did start a new game but not sure if something may be causing it as he attacks just fine, just doesn't have a ground melee animation working
i made a spelling mistake on the folders. add an 's' to the end of powerstyle{s}, and a 't' into fights{t}yle. i didn't bother sending him the new booster yet with the spelling changes. it should work with all the animations after that.
