Does anybody have any ideas on a base for a Black Cat skin? I would do Medusa but it does the same thing as Phoenix and stretches oddly in the chest. And since Black Cat requires cleavage, it would just look wierd. Any ideas? In the mean time, I will start on the Collossus Booster, it shouldn't take long.
darkmythology actually did a skin, somewhere in the depths of that "top 10 skins" thread. Don't know its base model, and it is probably a PC one (so you'd need to convert it to PS2), but it is out there.
Hey, I have been thinking of some base skins for Black Cat after reading Cable's message in the request thread (plus, I like Black Cat myself, too!). :)
I think Medusa is a great choice for Black Cat. The only draw back is her oddly shaped chest. The cleavage of the model (not the texture) will look nicer if you use female skeletons. This is probably because of how the female skeletons bend at the waist. This is why I used a female skeleton for She-Hulk.
You can also try Black Widow and Ultimate Storm, too. They have different hair styles and and other stuff, too. If I have the time to make my versions of Black Cat skins for MUA, I will definitely use these three models. Spider-Woman would be the best candidate if I could hide the glider wings... :(
EDIT: Textures tend to stretch unevenly near the middle (all the way from neck to the private region) of the female models. So, try not to deviate from the original shades that much... The bigger isn't always better... :laugh:
Thanks. I have a lot done with her, but I am trying to do the fightstyle thing that nodoubt was talking about so that she could have spiderwoman's skeleton but also use blackcat as her fightstyle. I set it up as he said but I am unsure if I missed a step. There isn't really a female skeleton that does her justice for cat like moves. It was either wolverine or black panther (I chose black panther because he does more cat like moves rather than slashing). I however do dislike his boost animations and radial animation for her Jinx move. So I used spiderwoman's skeleton to address that issue. Anyone familiar with the process nodoubt was talking about that can give me new directions? I already created the IGB, xmlb, engb, and package files for the fightstyle. I also renamed black panther's animations to letters if they conflicted with spiderwoman's. ie. power_1 became power_a in the skeleton so I referenced ea_powera in the powerstyle file.

I am back officially today! I guess with my avatar I can rise from the ashes. (Not literally of course) I got the "new" laptop from work. I say "new" since it is a pentium 4, but it is strong enough for XML2. I am not, however, able to run MUA on it, so I guess I am back where I started. I guess I can't complain since it was free.
Anyway, thanks to nodoubt_jr I was able to finish up Black Cat today. She is looking pretty good to call it alpha level. She only has one skin, but that can be dealt with later. Here are some previews, but note that the battle previews are with the old prototype skin, which I have since fixed as you can see in the menu preview.

Oh before I forget, I should mention that she has all xml2 attack sequences (to my knowledge). She also utilizes double jump and I also fixed her attack heavy by using some unused animations. It seems that MUA just uses charge and attack knockback for their attack heavies. I will probably do the same thing with Mystique and Angel when I get to them.

May I suggest several moves with a grappling hook? In FoF, she does wield one.
XML2 doesn't have the character handlers in the exe to do that kindof stuff, which is why Daredevil is borked in XML2.
Is that also the reason why Spidey and Venom aren't doable?
Yep, missing handlers that were coded specifically for MUA. That's also the reason that Rogue couldn't be directly converted. "Power Theft" used a special handler that was present in XML1 and XML2, but not in MUA.
The Mod looks really great! I really need to get myself XML2 for PC though.

Sorry for getting off-topic, but is there still going to be a Rogue mod for MUA? Just with the Power Theft move replaced?
If you download the X-Men Legends Project you'll see Rogue, but she's very unfinished. I don't know if anyone is working on her anymore.

Nope only in XML2. If someone wants to convert her after I do another update (sounds and bug fixes) that is fine be me though.

okay, i downloaded her and drag and dropped her files, her name shows up on the roster but i most definately do not see her model or the picture underneath her name on the roster, what file do i decompile in order for me to see that?
