Anyways, there's a "how to replace characters" tutorial in the main page, which is written for MUA but should work for XML2 too (as far as I know, there's just one tiny difference, check this, specifically the "herostat part", but don't post anything here: http://marvelmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=698.0 ). EDIT: Scratch that, they're basically the same.
Then, there's a "character mod catalog" for both of these games, with instructions on how to install each character included in that character's files.

Oh, I made those videos like 2 years ago, back when all we could do was hex edit the save file. If you just want to play around with Archangel, Sauron and other NPCs, but don't care about leveling up, then go here for easy editing options:

Otherwise, learn how to use the xmlb editor to alter your herostat and then download one of the mods on this site. You won't be able to get Sebastien Shaw or the other mods that appear in my XML2 videos because I never released them. But I'm sure you can get your hands on other mods that people have made.
