Title: Need help in 3d softwares!

I'm interested into downloading the free 3d software : Blender
(Home site): http://www.blender.org/

I just want to know if it would help me to mod mua or anything else. You can even suggest me other freewares.
If you tried it or even have it, I would be glad to know what are the options.
(please use simple words, not informatic expressions. That's precisely what I want to learn)

Freeware would be g-max which is a dumbed down version of max3 also there is Wings another freeware both are good and have tuts to help in learning the basic's.

MUA = 3ds max ONLY.
No Blender.
Only 3ds Max has the Exporters to make MUA stuff.

but I dont think that 3dsmax v4 or v5 is for sale anymore.
And no other version of 3dsmax will work with the MUA exporters.
Oh, and you could try using Google.
