Don't hold your breath.  With Wikipedia you need a hard reference.  It may not come out for PC as they didn't reference anything.  It most likely will, but I wouldn't count on Wikipedia if there's no references.

I think it also says on IGN.com that its being released on PC .

Yeah, I added that reference until we get a reliable one.  IGN is good with most stuff, but they always guess on platforms.

It will - after the sales they saw from letting X-Men Legends 2 and MUA on PC they'd be fools not to ;P

No PC version by the looks of it either, also "over 20 characters" will likely mean between 20 and 25 characters.

I updated the Wiki entry -- I didn't see anything about Mr Fantastic in the article (it's assumed of course) so I didn't add him.  Also, everyone missed that they mentioned Luke Cage in the article.

Read through the article one last time.  Thanks for the find Philip, I would have missed it.  We've got 11 confirmed characters now.

I wouldn't say Luke Cage is confirmed, given how he wasn't really mentioned while discussing the game, but rather while discussing the comic book series "Secret War" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_War_%28comics%29 ).

I have no doubts that he'll be in, and though him having an important part in a comic story that's going to be rather important in MUA2 is a good sign of that, it's not definite confirmation.

Or maybe I'm being too picky this time...

Why no Pc version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blackshake:
In the first trailer about spider-man 3 there isn't the icon of Pc but then we have the pc version, so maybe we have the pc version.
PS: I have a bad feeling about this.

Ign has in their E3 pc games section that their is going to be a pc version it is even has a release date so maybe someone has talked about it at E3 http://au.pc.ign.com/objects/142/14233949.html (http://au.pc.ign.com/objects/142/14233949.html)

IGN is almost always wrong on platforms until there's an official statement by the developers/publishers.  Hope and pray, but don't count on it.  Especially with Vicarious Visions working on it.  They haven't done a PC game in 6 years, and specialize in consoles.  And I hope VV doesn't port it to PC.  If anything Beenox should do the port again, as both the XML2 and MUA PC ports they did rocked hardcore.

Someone put the Green Goblin as a confirmed character?

He was confirmed late yesterday.  There's a reference at the top of the Confirmed Characters section.

If you go to the shop where you can pre-order it, and ask if they are getting it on pc what would they tell you?
Title: Re: Good News

"We dont have it coming out on PC".
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: Unknown on August 08, 2009, 07:24PM
Ohhh... Damn, yeh damn. Are well now we can start modding next-gen consles!
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: marvelfan12345 on August 08, 2009, 08:01PM
That is impossible.
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: Unknown on August 08, 2009, 08:17PM
Nothing is impossible we just think that it's impossible, like pain, we think of pain which is why we experience it.
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: Venom on August 08, 2009, 08:20PM
Its impossible at the current time and probably the closest we will get to Nextgen modding is by using things from the MUA2 nextgen version in MUA1 but that still looks bleak.

I don't think we can actually even take stuff from MUAII and put them in MUA1 as even the Ps2 has changed I believe.
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: Teancum on August 09, 2009, 08:06AM
Yeah, unfortunately it looks the PS2/Wii versions will use an entirely different engine.
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: marvelfan12345 on August 09, 2009, 08:07AM
To me those models wouldn't look good in MUA as everything else would look completely different.
Title: Re: Good News
Post by: Unknown on August 09, 2009, 03:36PM
Come on! Can't mod PS2 or Wii now, well then we can't get any new models from MUAII so it's back to the drawing board for me.

There's no point talking about modding any version of MUA2 when we have no idea how compatible any of the versions they may or may not be.

But Teancum said that it's a new system.

Yeah, unfortunately it looks the PS2/Wii versions will use an entirely different engine.

Please don't take me out of context.  I'm just going by the fact that it's a separate developer, they have their own engine tailored to PS2 and Wii content, and the fact that Vicarious Visions' creative director Dan Tanguay (http://twitter.com/Dan_Tanguay) said things like "Console exclusive. If you're asking about Wii or other platforms, I can't help you. I don't know what they have.", "I don't know how many characters the Wii and other versions will have.", "MUA2 Wii. VV did not work on MUA2 Wii, so I don't know the DLC plans for it. This is a good question for Newslad on Hero HQ." and "Wii DLC. I do not know much about the Wii version."

That being said, I gathered that since this guy is so clueless as to the Wii/PS2 developer's work, plus the fact that they have their own engine led me to conclude it ain't gonna use Alchemy.

Post by: Unknown on August 09, 2009, 06:18PM
Well, you're probably right in the end where they would have use a different engine to hold all the new combat system.

They may use Havok.

So?  That's a physics engine and wouldn't have anything to do with us being able to get the models from it.
