Wolverine is always a mainstay, because I'm unfair and partial like that.  :P  Ms. Marvel is t3h hawt (they made her a support character for some reason...  I changed her to a light bruiser instead, because she seemed more fitting to be similar to characters like Thor, Spiderman, and Elektra who are about mid-range with power usage and melee, as opposed to Storm, Doctor Strange, and Invisible Woman who are strictly power usage), Blade is alright if you try your hardest not to make him suck (which I am...  it just takes some leveling up of his talents), and Invisible Woman is REALLY good... really. (seriously...  I <3 her)  My other team members include Spiderman (*shrugs* always been somewhat of a Spiderman fan, and his spidey sense is handy, as well as his web bullets) and Elektra.  I usually switch Elektra in most often, because for some reason unknown to man, she deals the most damage out of all my characters.

The more I play the game, the more I decide I'm not going to mod it (well, adding new characters anyway...  I've definitely fixed some powers and modified/switched some passives I felt were absolutely rediculous).  Seriously, I don't care too much about extra characters (well, more is better, but I don't feel the need to replace any of them... although I think Cage is useless).  I think the selection they have is just fine.  I would like Rogue, but I'm just as happy with Ms. Marvel.

Here are my "New Defenders".  Love to play with ranged attacks, switching between Thor throwing Mjolnir, Cap's shield, and Cyke's Optic Blast.  I love the new Venom - Earth X skin and attached it to Spider Woman since she was on my team anyway.  She offers a lot with her health regeneration.  A lot of times, I just close my eyes and pick random teams or use the random feature of Excel to let the PC tell me which character and skin to use.  I need to update that file with all of the changes I've done to my game (swapping Juggernaut for Cage, Gambit for Marvel, Cyke for Surfer and all of the additional skins).

This is the third time I'm playing through the game and again, thanks to all for the mods.  It really makes the game exciting every time through!

Nightcrawler (Leader), Polaris, Gambit and Shadowcat.

Nightcrawler is from this site's Nightcrawler mod (which is amazing to whoever made it, I forget). Polaris is a skin of Invisible Woman but I only use her telekinesis, telekinetic snare and the fantastic shield since they look alot like Polaris' powers. Gambit is a skin on Moon Knight (I started before the Gambit mod) and uses the crescent darts, staff slam and staff combat. Shadowcat is an Elektra skin that only uses her non-sai moves. That way all the characters powers are really similar to their normal powers.

It does get odd when Gambit says "Another victory for you Khonsu!" but that happens very rarely.

Moon Knight (the skin that starts with K), Iron Man as War Machine, Ghost Rider, Wolverine (ultimate)

Before I got MK working on the Xbox I used Deadpool. 

dayum cvc that rocks!!  I gotta play as Apoc next.  Did you do any of those mods yourself or did you pick em up from around the forum?

Anyway, my team is Juggernaut, Colossus, Deadpool, & Capt. America at the moment.

AFAIK, cvc made all of that - he keeps posting screesnaps of his progress all over the board, you should check those out :D

For me, the team to pick was Deadpool (regen, one-liners), Spider-Woman (the Blast), Daredevil (coolness factor) and Invisible Woman (incredible crowd control prowess) with an occasional addition or removal of Colossus into one of the slots for variety.

Yeah I made them but buggy as all getout, right now still working on them.When I get them done I'll up them,they play but not good for release yet.Plus I keep getting sidetracked on other char

Team in first game: Black Panther(modern), Spider-woman(classic), Ghost Rider(Vengeance), Spider-man(symbiote)
Team in second game: Iceman(Bobby), Human Torch(modern), Thing(modern), Silver Surfer

Spiderman(symbiote), Wolverine(classic), Human Torch(modern), Iceman(Bobby).

Classic Avengers, of course - the Classic versions of Iron Man, Thor, Cap and Black Panther. (This was my first play through team)

Since playing through again, My Fav Teams to play now are...
-New avengers - Iron Man, Spiderwoman, Wolverine, (w/ Cap, Iron Spidey, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel)
-Against the HAND - Daredevil, Electra, Logan, w/ Moon Knight


Teams I'm looking forward to playing, or would love to play, are...
-Agents of Shield - Nick Fury, Black Widow, Agent Jessica Drew, Logan (or a Guardsman skin on IM)
-Ultimates - Ultimate versions of Thor , Cap, Hawkeye, Iron Man, (Does Black Widow have an ultimate skin? I have yet to install the PSP content... won't until I unlock all the skins officially. SO dan't acytually have Hawky and BW in there yet)
-Omega Flight - USAgent, Aracne, Beta Ray Thor, and (we definitely need a skin for) Sasquatch
-Classic Defenders - Hulk, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, and (we also need a functioning) Namor
-Classic Invaders - WW II Cap, Human Torch, (again, we need) Namor, and the Whizzer (as a skin for Quicksilver) or Winter soldier for Bucky.
- Illuminati - Iron Man, Reed Richards, (again... see why we need him?) Namor, (and a port of) Black Bolt or Professor X

We seem to be just a character away from some amazing teams... so, so close.

Fantastic Four are definitely my favorite.  I have The Thing fight up close with the rest using their long range attacks.  Human Torch is definitely one of the most powerful in the game so I can usually take out most groups of bad guys with Johnny before the rest of the team has any time to do an attack.

I am using:

Cap
Hawkeye
Thor
Iron Man

Cap is a solid all round character and the DL Hawkeye is pretty cool once you level him up a bit - he's much better than I thought

I'm trying a squad of X-Men consisting of Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Apocalypse, and Gambit

first time I played the game through most of the time I was with: Spidey, Ghostrider, Thing, Wolverine.

I was using Spider-Woman(Agent of Shield!), Nightcrawler, the Thing, and keeping a random slot open for fun.  Storm (punk rock!), the Torch, Colossus and Cyclops have been fitting pretty well with that team.  Oh, and Spidey.  Can't go wrong with the webhead.   Or Ultimate Iron Man, if I've been drinking.

I recently started playing with Symbiote Spidey, Spiderwoman(secret wars), Daredevil(armored), Elektra(assassin) it's alot of fun.  Not a bad team on hard if yer looking for a challenge.

Well, Colossus was knocked down and now I got a great team with leveled powers:

Cyclops (Astonishing)
Spider-Man (Classic)
Punisher (modified on darkmythology's skin)
Wolverine (Classic)

Cyclops and Punisher's ranged attacks are great. Also I base team work on Cyclops command power. Punisher's moves do not consume any power energy at all, well not too much (sniper, hand to hand combat and explosive grenades).

Spider-Man mainly uses his webthrow and webwarrior power also with web bullets.

Wolverine is the best at what he does.

What is so great about Iceman? I think that in the original game, they should have replaced :iceman: with :cyclops:.

Iceman rocks.  If he doesn't have a high-enough level to freeze enemies he at least slows them down.  It makes group fights much easier.

Fair point, :scratchhead: but that isn't quite effective against boss fights.

Iceman does rock!!! Iceman is a great support for the team! I like him in both XML2 and MUA, but I didnt like Blizzard and Deep Freeze... I prefer Ice Pillars from XLM2. :P

Frostbite - adds damage to your brawlers
Freese beam - low damage but freezes normal enemies
Polar Explosion - all enemies in the vicinity of the explosion share the same amount of damage!! It's good on mobs and not bad against bosses, too

OK, I admit. Good support, but XTreme is really bad. I still can't fight a boss alone with Iceman. Just doesn't have the power to battle head on.

You like Ice Shards? I guess Polar Explosion is Drake's best move. And yes, I prefer Iceman in XML2.

Ice Shards? No... Polar Explosion is way more effective...
The Xtreme won't work (that well) against cold/elemental resistant enemies --- MUA has plenty of these unfortunately. :(

I use either the Bobby Drake or snowman costumes. For figting bosses, you have (to double jump) to use Ice Slide to run away from the boss more often then you may think, then charge up Polar Explosion, and run away again....repeat the same process... :iceman:

You can use a better Ultimate Magneto skin that doesn't have the white line around the cape. Rename 10100.igb to whatever the skin is in the mod. :)

I have 2 teams, one that is all rough and tumble characters that just kick a** and the other is a group of characters that could be considered "galactic powers"

Tough: Wolverine, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, Blade

Galactic: Captain Marvel, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, Thor

My favorite team is wolverine, storm, dare-devil, and mr.fantastic,
other i like moonnight, iceman, invisable women, and blackpanter.

Characters i think are weaker are spider-man, the thing, not that hes weak but you don't even notice it all his energy is gone, cage guy, and nick fury.

At the moment I'm using Fury, Thor, Rhino and Blade. never used them before so i thought i'd give it a try. They are all pretty good. The characters I use most are Ghost rider and Daredevil, they're my favorites. I like the Invisible too, her TK is great.

Dr. Strange also has some form of TK. Levitation was its name I think it was?

yeah, but the rest of his attacks suck, exept black magic maybe

Yeah, I use his Levitation, Mystic Bolts, and Black Magic along with Mystic Maelstrom as the XTreme. Anyway, it's quite amusing instead of seeing enemies, all I see are metal boxes. :laugh:

I can't belive no one else thinks Mr.fantasic is good?  :eek: HEs my favorite character he has alot of different abilitys. Or yeah I never tried deadpool before because of how horrible he was on xml2. But now he is diffently one of my favorite!

Deadpool:I'm the best on whatever Wolverine does. :naughty:

Mr. Fantastic's powers are quite okay, especially Rubberband Recoil and Drastic Elastic. Just a better Xtreme than Orbital Attack, which is quite similar to Beast's in XML1.

Human Torch, Spider-Man, Deadpool, and someone fit to make jokes (currently can't think of one rite now).

The Thing? He makes wise cracks also.

OK, then, the Thing.

I pretty much change my teams to the environment. For example for Mephisto's Realm I use Supernatural: Blade,Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange and Thor. When I get to GR I just switch with GR so I dont lose a character. :) When I visit the Shiar I use The X-Men and for the Skrulls I use either FF, Avengers, Defenders or New FF. For Asgard I pretty much use the Avengers with Thor. I cant wait to be able to play the Gold Edition because this will all change.

I am ok with the size of the feet, but I must say the running animation doesn't look so good, like the legs are too close together or something. (Sorry if I am not clear, I don't know how to explain this...lol)

I apologize in advance... but I think it is a pity for such an important character as the Hulk is to have this great dlc configs, the great work with the skins, and also great work with the model but its performance is a bit shabby. I've gotta stick with my good ole Giant Size X-Men:  Cyke, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, with sunfire and wolverine in reserve.

A team built in the Dazzler Mod I was also very impressed with.

Dazzler Fan club:  Dazzler, Colossus, Spiderman and Spiderwoman

And of course old stand by's like the Fantastic four and original Avengers are tough to beat.  Normally though I don't like the added team bonus's.  The game is amazingly easy enough already.

As far as the Hulk is concerned, try using 110_supersoldier.igb (renamed to 170_hulk.igb, or whatever you use, and backing up the old one, of course), and the running problem is solved. You lose his menu animations, but hey, nothings perfect..

it got better, thank you. A pity that the Hulk has too long arms and too narrow back. I suppose it is very tough to improve on the model... thank you Tommy.

lot's of those guys would be a lot of fun. We also need some good Golden Age Human Torch skins, and a more accurate Golden Age Captain America.

Three spots are always filled:

Silver Surfer - because he's just too bloody awesome.
Thor - because Ultimate Thor kicks ass.
Deadpool - Because all gods need a jester.

The fourth spot is up for grabs, usually by:

Ms. Marvel - every superteam MUST have a hot chick; too bad Binary looks like crap.
Ghost Rider - He's flamey... and spikey... and chainy... mostly for novelty factor.
Omega Red - the OTHER Russian, and he doesn't disappoint.

I've enjoyed 2 combinations recently-
"The Defenders" - Dr. Strange, The Hulk, Silver Surfer, & Moon Knight
(Although, at level 48, this team is incredibly powerful).

And I recently ran the Asgard scenario completely differently, only targetting the bosses.
Take "Thor", as your powerhouse target to attract the enemies, then keep the "Invisible Woman" and "Nick Fury" in their invisible modes. Just run invisibly past all of the minions, until you reach the goal of the mission.
Then, while Thor attracts all of the attention, the invisible Fury uses his "Assassin" skill to pick off the bosses without being attacked himself.  It feels dirty and underhanded, but, hey, he is the director of SHIELD, tright?
Sue is just there to throw Invisible Darts while Fury reloads.

To be honest I haven't been playing MUA for a long time, until recently when I began skinning. (I kept visiting this site to see if something new has been discovered.)

Normally I had Blade (don't hate me, I only used his Bloodthing power to run faster :laugh: ), Cap, Magneto and Deadpool on my team. Now it's more like Bishop (cries about the Bombardment power though..), Shard (yeah Norrin she's really cool) Wolvy and Magneto.

Well...

:wolverine: &  :deadpool: are a MUST in my team.  :stark: is also in pretty much everytime... the other char i like to switch. Most of the time, i choose either  :spiderman: (i love the guy, it's just that i am kind of sick of him... i know, but let's face it, for the last years everything is "spiderman this, spiderman that!") or  :ghostr:...

Cable  - With the recent release of this mod I've had a lot of fun.
Deadpool  - Comedic relief I just can't pass up on.
Bishop  - I love how effective he is as an energy sponge. (lol @ Radioactive Man)
Storm  - She's my flier and an awesome support character.

spidey (stark armour), Cap (classic), Deadpool (classic), Wolverine (astonishing). Nice, fairly well balanced team with pretty decent ultimates.

Union Jack would be pretty fun to have in MUA for a possible Invaders team. Possibly Toro as well.

I was trying to think of a skin I could just shrink down to get a toro mod, but with Human Torch on the team I think it would just be repetitive. I just want a Whizzer or Thin-man skin to slap on Quicksilver or Mr. Fantastic.

I sometimes add a little of electra too, if I just want to beat the enemies up.  I like wolverine in XML2, but somehow I lost interest in him in MUA...

Now I most of the time use Dr. Doom, Magneto, Deadpool, and Hawkeye, all on PC. Other times : Venom, Hulk, Moon Knight, and Colossus. If not for marvelmods.com i don't know what I would do...  :doom: :magneto: :deadpool:  :hawkeye:

I am in need of some choosing advide :P.

I'm doing a second game run (1st one on psp, so no mods but with extra chars that are psp only), and i've got this setup;

Human Torch, Ghost Rider, Thor, xxxx.

I can't decide who to put on the 4th spot; I know i want a ranger, and atm it's taken by Storm. Since i already finished the game (on pc) with Storm i want someone else to fill the spot. Silversurfer is also out, used him a lot too in my 1st game.

I was thinking of:
Spiderman (not a fan, but he is praised a lot)
Iceman
Dr Strange
or take a melee and grab deadpool, he's supposed to add some humor to a lot of dialogues.

Suggestions or maybe someone else i should try out?


ps. oh and if this is not the right thread, i appologize, it seemed like a good spot for asking :), with all the favourite quartets of everyone.

If you ask me, try out every character and choose the one, who really fits you (Sorry, if my English is bad).

Went for iceman after a coop with my brother on pc. His freezing is really handy, in any team.

My favorite team in the past was Mr. Fantastic, Silver Surfer, Moon Knight and Human Torch.  Now that I have discovered this mod site and have tried some of the new characters, I have to add Quicksilver and Angel to that group some how!  I also like Nightcrawler and Hawkeye.

I spam the heck out of Angelic Transfusion when running into heavy mobs. Angel can also clear out a room pretty quickly with that spinning power he has.

Punisher has become a favorite. Hit Guns and Ammo, then spam the double shot power. Very little energy consumption, and the little that gets used is replenished with all the blue orbs from killing mass quantities of baddies.

Goblin is just fun as all get out. Love tossing pumpkin bombs (boosted with his Original suit passive) and his voice quips help break up the monotony. Only glitch I have seen so far is that another of his costume passives, health gen, doesn't seem to work. Every level is 0.0%

I thought I would like Firestar, but so far she's been meh. For some reason, her pop up power (don't remember the name, the one when she creates columns of fire under mobs to pop them up) doesn't work. I have put points into it, and set it up in the character select screen. But when I go to use it, it doesn't show up in my selectable powers. Must be a funky install thing.

After he took everything, he ran off, making us lay face first in the ground...and since it was too dark to see him, we didn't have a good description, and my friend, who's a cop, came over that night and passed the police station, he said the majority of the cops were sittin outside chit chattin. When I first played MAU, I stuck with New Avengers variations:

Captain America, Spider-man, Wolverine and Iron Man (though I think currently Iron Man has been replaced with Black Panther). I'd also change to what I felt was their most approproate costume: USAgent, Black Suit Spidey, Astonishing Wolvie, New Avengers Iron Man and Holy Armour Black Panther.

On my current new game I have: Ronin, Classic Venom, Deadpool and Vengence v2 skin Moon Knight. I hope to replace Deadpool with Nova Prime (once I've made the skin!)

Well, I wish I made all those skins!  I'm just compiling them (here: http://marvelmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,4122.0.html) to make it easier for people to find skins, but I'm far from finished.  Hopefully, it will never be finished as people continue to create more skins.
