It's probablly Ms. Marvel as she's a logical choice and most likely going to be in the game. Wonder Man will probablly be an NPC as will Hank Pym. It might be Penance, but I hope not.

Born about 80 years in the future of the Marvel Universe, Bishop has a distinctive M brand over his right eye, used to identify Mutants in his era. After his parents were killed, Bishop was raised by a man named LeBeau, also called Witness, who was reportedly the last man to see the legendary X-Men alive. According to LeBeau (in XSE #4), Bishop's grandmother (a woman probably named Aliyah) took Bishop away from him. Bishop was then raised by his grandmother with his younger sister, Shard in a mutant concentration camp in Nevada or Brooklyn (perhaps both). This was in the aftermath of the Summers Rebellion, an uprising in which mutants and humans joined forces to destroy the Sentinels.
Bishop's grandmother taught him many legends of the X-Men, who were old allies of hers. Depowered by unknown means, she had entered the camps in secret to raise her grandchildren. Upon his grandmother's deathbed, she also made Bishop swear to protect Shard. After the Rebellion, the mutants were "emancipated", and sent out of the camps to fend for themselves, even Bishop and Shard, who were only children. They lived on the streets, stealing, before they met up with a veteran named Hancock, a family friend. Slightly blind, Hancock nevertheless took on the task of raising the two.
Bishop came across an anti-human group of mutants called the Exhumes. They took his sister Shard hostage when Xavier's Security Enforcers arrived. Up until that time with a (now disillusioned) idea of the X-Men in his heart, Bishop admired the Exhumes. After the XSE defeated the Exhume members and saved Shard however, Bishop knew he wanted to join the XSE. Around the time Bishop was fifteen, Hancock was killed by criminals who were soon arrested by the XSE. Bishop and Shard joined up, Shard soon surpassing him in becoming the youngest XSE officer. It is unknown if Bishop had any contact with the Witness during these years. During a training class, Bishop's class instructors and some of his fellow students were killed. Bishop rallied the survivors and fought back until reinforcements arrived. While on a mission to wipe out a nest of Emplates, mutant vampires that feed on bone marrow, Shard was critically injured. Bishop went to Witness for help, and the Witness, then employed/housed/imprisoned at the New York Stark/Fujikawa building agreed to transfer Shard's essence into a holographic matrix if Bishop would work for him for one year. The details of Bishop's work there is unknown, but in XSE #4, he refuses to tell Shard of his actions there.
Immediately upon his re-installment as a commander in the XSE, Bishop and his XSE group the "Omega Squad", captured Trevor Fitzroy, a murderous ex-XSE trainee. This happened in the ruins of the Xavier Institute War Room. While there, Bishop found a damaged recording of Jean Grey, which said something about a traitor destroying the X-Men from inside. Witness gave him very few answers on this transcript, and Bishop thought that Witness did more than just witness those events.
[edit] Joining the X-Men
Fitzroy escaped from prison and used a large amount of mutant life-force to open a time portal and break out 93 mutant criminal "Lifers" in the process. Bishop found himself in the past, in the time of his heroes, the X-Men. Bishop and the Omega Squad eventually "sanctioned" the Lifers, but did not get Fitzroy. Bishop encountered the X-Men for the first time, but not believing who they said they were, he battled them at first. He then allied with the X-Men in trying to stop Fitzroy, and Malcolm and Randall, the two members of his Omega Squad, died in the process.[1] Professor Charles Xavier offered him a place in the X-Men, and he was placed under Storm's tutelage. He fought and defeated Styglut.[2] When he met Gambit, Bishop recognized him as possibly a younger version of the Witness and fought him.[3] Bishop also recognized Jubilee as the 'last X-Man', but this has been proven false.

He soon met Mystique for the first time,[4] and alongside the X-Men he battled the Morlocks[5] and the Death Sponsors.[6]
Bishop assigned himself the role of Xavier's personal bodyguard, which he failed at when Stryfe, the evil double of Cable, critically wounded Xavier. Initially, the X-Men believed that Cable was the would-be assassin, so Wolverine and Bishop tracked down Cable, but then traveled to Cable's "Professor" starship, and then joined with them in finding Stryfe.[7] Citing his failure to protect Professor X, Bishop offered to resign from the X-Men. His resignation was rejected by Xavier, and then alongside the X-Men he battled the Acolytes.[8]
Later, Bishop would be the one to save lives when Sabretooth escaped from his cell and the only other X-Men were busy or unable to fight him.
[edit] Age of Apocalypse
When Professor Xavier's insane son — the mutant Legion — went back in time to assassinate Magneto, Bishop was one of the X-Men sent to stop him. When they failed, and Legion accidentally killed Professor Xavier, Bishop was the only time-traveler to remain when history was altered and became the Age of Apocalypse. He eventually convinced the Magneto of that era that the existence of this reality was wrong, and with a great amount of sacrifice, managed to correct the error and stop Legion. After the timeline reset itself, Bishop received some of his counterpart's unsettling memories of the Age of Apocalypse.[issue # needed]
The traitor in the X-Men was eventually revealed to be Professor X in the form of Onslaught. Bishop's knowledge of the future was the only thing that stopped Onslaught from killing the X-Men. As Onslaught fired a massive blast of psionic energy at the distracted X-Men, Bishop threw himself in front of them and absorbed the blast that would have killed them. Onslaught, winded from such a massive attack, said that his blast was enough to kill a thousand mutants and "Another time, another place, I would have been proud". Bishop lost consiousness after absorbing the blast, but soon recovered; although it was not enough to prevent Onslaught from nearly destroying all of humanity. He made peace with Gambit, who was not the traitor after all.[issue # needed]
On a mission in deep space to stop the Phalanx, Bishop became separated from the rest of the X-Men. Despite trickery and base manipulation by Deathbird, he entered into a romantic relationship with her. They had many adventures far out in space, but when she turned on him and the X-Men, he seemingly killed her.[issue # needed]
Following this, Bishop spent some time in a distant possible future, detailed in the Bishop: The Last X-Man series, where he again faced Trevor Fitzroy. He was temporarily returned to the present by Apocalypse who needed him as one of The Twelve, before finally returning permanently during the Maximum Security crossover.[issue # needed]
[edit] X-Treme X-Men
At one point, Bishop was a founding member of Storm's splinter team of X-Men searching for the Books of Truth, the diaries of the precognitive Destiny.[9] They left against the will and knowledge of the main team, as the splinter group did not trust in Xavier and the others to use the diaries for the benefit of humanity.
He started using "Lucas" as a first name on a fake police ID, though it turned it out to be real. Even though the X-Men came to believe the diaries to be self-fulfilling, the team stayed together for a while before returning to the mansion. His team started believing that the others had grown more mutant-supremacist and less interested in integration (the original reason that many of them joined the X-Men). While with his splinter team, Bishop was second-in-command, would participate in solving murder mysteries, and even used false IDs to convince the local authorities he was one of them.
His team has recently formed their own XSE, the X-Treme Sanctions Executive which was officially recognized by the government. Bishop has also begun a friendship with the new X-Man Sage. They helped to uncover the killer of the White Queen. Bishop has recently been seen getting close to Angel's ex-girlfriend Detective Charlotte Jones.

Recently, Bishop joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and appeared regularly in District X, a police procedural set in a mutant ghetto in New York City. District X, or 'mutant town', was a high-crime, high-population density, poverty-stricken area, to which Bishop was assigned in order to resolve mutant-related crimes. The series was cancelled after 14 issues.
Since the House of M, Bishop continues to visit New York, but since a majority of the mutant population of District X was wiped out by the Scarlet Witch, Bishop has instead primarily turned his attention back to the X-Men and school. He has been going on missions with the team, such as taking down the Shi'ar Death Commandos, or fighting the Foursaken. Bishop helped Psylocke deal with the Foursaken and the First Fallen, as well as helping Storm save Africa from soldiers taking children from villages.
[edit] Civil War
In the Civil War: X-Men miniseries, Bishop sides with the O*N*E* to bring in the X-Men and the 198. He even argued with Cyclops over letting them go. Val Cooper and Tony Stark let Bishop lead Micromax and Sabra into action against Domino, Shatterstar, and the 198. Bishop led them to the base where the 198 were hiding and told the X-Men to stand down. However, General Demetrius Lazer betrayed him by ensuring that Cyclops attacked Bishop. Though at first he simply absorbed it, the power was too much for him to control as he was overwhelmed, and he was forced to direct the energy he had absorbed upwards in a powerful blast that would easily destroy a O*N*E* Sentinel. He later teamed up with the X-Men to save the 198 from a bomb explosion, and then went his own way, leaving the X-Men. Bishop is among Iron Man's pro-registration forces that guard the Negative Zone prison. When Captain America's team breaks in, a fight ensues, putting Bishop at odds with his former teammate, Storm :bishop:

I'd love to have Bishop, but only if other characters I want are in there too. Hawkeye is a MUST for all platforms this time around. I'm very pissed I can't play him on my old Xbox, and MUA isn't much fun on the 360 due to all the bloom.

Well it could still not be him, because Bishop isn't a full-time superhero. He's currently the enemy of the X-Men.

Is Ms. Marvel or Penance full-time superheroes?
Ms. Marvel I believe is. I don't remember her ever being a villain as the Ms. Marvel who is part of the Dark Avengers is really Moonstone. Then Penance started as Speedball who I believe was a hero. He was part of the Thunderbolts, which is a team full of past villains. Penance blames himself for the murder of most of the New Warriors and a whole school of kids, the events that started Civil War, so that could maybe count as a villain. It was after this event that he joined the Thunderbolts.
Ok, so maybe Bishop is not the best thing but they... YEY for another X-MEN ^^

They may just be part of it in the game. Plus both attack enemies with energy blasts. Cyclops with optic energy blasts and Jean with telekinetic, telepathic, or firey energy blasts. Plus Cyke, Jean, Wolvie, and Storm are the heart and soul of the X-Men along with Prof X.

Exactly, I'm almost sure that the new character is Bishop and if the story is based in secret and civil war, I (personally) don't think that Jean will be playable in the initial roster (altough I would like), maybe a DLC, and if a x-men telepath will appear in MUA2, Emma Frost had a better chances this time (at least I hope that ^_^) but we don't know this guys always do what they want at the end :)

Is that a bad thing? I didn't think that Ms. Marvel fitted all of the clues? I reckon its Sentry also, he fits the clues Perfectly.
Also, many characters are too powerful for the game:
Thor: Could a God really be defeated?
Phoenix: She could kill everyone in the World without thinking twice.
Yet they have been in Previous games. There is no reason it can't be Sentry, even if it were Ms. Marvel i wouldn't be disappointed, although i want a NEW character as we dont really have anyone new apart from Hulk.
That's a good point, but I would say it isn't Sentry for popularity reasons. Non-comic readers don't know who he is really, and that's at least 1/2 (bare minimum) the market they're pitching the game to.

I have nothing for or against the character, but I do like that I wasn't expecting her at all.
On the other side, I wasn't so happy that in the blog it says they made over 20 characters. Songbird probably falls in the line of those characters that I have no problem if they are in or out, like Spider-Woman or Moon Knight in MUA1.
Moon Knight is amazing as a playable. If Songbird plays as well as Moon Knight then I'm fine with her being in, but they'd better live up to their own hype.

We know Ms Marvel is in the game in some form, anyway. She has that picture that was found on the MUA2 site.

So anyone knows how those picture were retrieved? Because that Venom was exactly like this one (http://www.animation.art.br/3dart/venom/venom.htm), which doesn't seem to be made by someone working for Activision or VV.
You can decompile flash and shockwave files with certain programs. That Venom/Ms. Marvel were found inside the site's flash banner with all of the characters. I'm guessing that they were going to recompile the banner later on once these characters were announced, but you never know.

Ok, there are already hints for the character that is going to be revealed in april. It's gonna be anti-reg and can manipulate energy (which based on last time, probably means it's got superhearing :D).
Hopefully it turns out to be Iron Fist, but who knows, right?

Dagger IS in the game but she is voiced by the same person that is the voice of Songbird.They ve never used the same person for 2 main playable characters. And Iron Fist was DD during the civil war , If my memory is right.

where has it been confirmed that dagger is playable?
It hasn't. What people think is Dagger has only been seen in a screenshot. It remains to be seen whether she's playable or just an NPC.

It was listed at Imdb, voiced by the same woman that voices Songbird.But we dont know if she is Playable or NPC. :(

There is also a screenshot from the most recent trailer. There's a blonde woman in white bent over something. It could be Emma Frost or it could be Dagger. I seem to recall the costume being quite skintight with not much skin showing, so it's likely that it's not Emma.

I'm not sure I'd want her in it. She'd be exactly the same as the Human Torch but weaker and that would be a wasted slot. Plus I don't recall her being involved in Civil War. She was just a character created by ABC network for Spiderman & His Amazing Friends because they couldn't get the rights to Human Torch at the time and they wanted they whole fire vs ice thing so they created her. Did Marvel add her to the comic world after that? If so, I've never seen her in a comic book.

Yes, she's been a member of the Hellions, the New Warriors, and the Avengers. Her first Marvel Universe appereance was in Uncanny X-Men #193 (May 1985). She retired during the Civil War.

I'm suprised that nobody besides me thinks that it is Spider-Woman. I also hope that it is Iron Fist and Black Bolt. Dagger would be cool too, with Cloak joining her in battle when she fights against enemies.
I've just been over to the official Ultimate Alliance 2 site. The game is looking awesome. Songbird looks amazing. They're really clamouring for Emma Frost and Jean Grey to be in the game. Its like an Emma vs Jean catfight over there. I have a question though. Do Activision actually have anything to do with the official site? Is it run by them or do they just pop in from time to time to check what the fans doing? If so, I wonder if they are taking notice of all the voting polls going on over there.
The guy who delivers all the news says that they are, in fact, listening to responses in the forums and in the polls. I personally think the most popular characters that they weren't going to include will probably end up as DLC.
Jean Grey is overrated, though. I'd prefer Emma in over her any day.

If your right Dihan about activision taking notice of what fans want, then there's no reason why they would not include Jean, Emma and even Psylocke. These 3 x-ladies appear to be beating out all the other competition by a landslide. I was hoping for Punisher though but it looks like a lot of people really missed the psychics in the first Ultimate alliance.

I have no desire to play as Jean Grey for the third time. Emma Frost is a lot more current than Jean, she's also a lot more unique than Jeaneric Psychic Woman. Jean wasn't even alive during Civil War.

She has telekinetic powers and telepathy plus the Phoenix Force. Emma has telepathy too, but nothing else besides a diamond form which could be replicated by the Hulk or the Thing. Plus her telepathy is much weaker than that of Jean's. Plus the X-Men writers are planning to resurrect Jean. They've practically announced that Jean will come back from a connection with Hope (Messiah Complex baby). They've given some clues that have given it away, so you can check wiki.
Still, as awesome a Jean is, she can sit out for one game. And so can Wolverine. Love those characters, but they always hog the spotlight.

Exactly. Jeans not the only one who has controlled the phoenix force others have too. Emma's telepathy is on par's with Jeans. Maybe Psylockes is slightly weaker. I think all three should be in the game as maybe DLC. But if they include Jean then it should be WITHOUT Phoenix powers like she was in Legends 1, Otherwise the whole game wouldn't make sense. For me it didn't really work what they did with her in Legends 2.

And her importance for Civil War is zero, btw she was already explored in a lot of games and movies and other media, I'm sick of her. Just some ideas. I personally don't think Cannonball is likely. It'll probably be Cable.
My money is on Cable since he was in a trailer but hasn't been "Officially" revealed.

Wow,this clue is very ambiguous, as you say this could aplply to one or both new characters.
If we are talking about an individual character we have manny examples about mutant powers in manny families:
The Summers brothers (Scott, Alex and Gabriel) The Frost sisters (Emma, Cordelia, Adrienne) a lot of the Grey family (Jean, Rachel, Nate, Cable) and the Guthrie family (Sam, Paige and.. almost everyone)
And if this clue is about 2 characters that have a conection betwen them, well I must say Cyclops and Cable, since Cable appear in the trailer and IMDB cited Scott as one of the characters in the game.
But the clue talk about "mutant powers", a term that is used generally in the Xmen universe, so probably this 2 character would be 2 characters of the X-Men, I'm crossing my fingers for Scott and Emma, lol :)

Jean only really has children who are mutants. Others have brothers, sisters or past generations of mutants. The mutant gene doesn't really run through the Grey family (though it does run through the combined Grey/Summers family... Only because of Cyclops, though).
I feel it's definitely one of the Summers'. Emma Frost would be a nice surprise, though.
My money is totally on Cable and Deadpool (they already have a comic together, right?)

I love Jean Grey, love everything about her, she's my favorite character and i cant wait to have her back in comics. But yes its getting kind of annoying that some Jean fans automatically say every clue is Jean. Im almost 100% sure she wont be in the game, it doesnt make sense she was dead during that storyline. I just really dont think she will or should be in this game. (This feeling also goes for comics, every fiery figure or red head is automatically thought of as Jean, and Marvel isnt helping anything by teasing us with something Jean related every month. I hope when they bring her back its just a minor storyline and that she is phoenix less)
Edit: Also Jean has no children. Rachel is from another dimension, X-Man was made in a lab and is from another dimension, and Cable is Madelyne Pryor's son, yeah she is a clone of Jean's, but Jean didnt give birth to him, and Stryfe is Cable's clone. The only family she has that are mutants were her sisters kids.

I love Jean Grey too, but nodoubt_jr and Dihan are right, She has nothing to do in the civil war, because she was dead in that story. I'm also think that she won't be included in the game, maybe as a DLC and that's really hard too because there are a lot of characters arround the civil war that have more chances than her. Come on friend let's focus in the facts, I love Emma Frost, and I feel that she has a little more chances to be included in this game than the last one, but I recognize that there are a HUGE bunch of characters that have more chances to be included in the game. If this clue is about a character with a family with mutant powers and we have Cable, and he appear in the trailer, and has been cited as a possible playable character and we have screenshots of him, well, that would have to say something to you, right?
We respect that you love Jean, and that you want to play as her, but please be realist my friend :)

Sorry if I offended anyone of you, I just thought Jean because she I guess is heavily anticipated because at the MUAII site so many people want her. I mean her thread had more than 500 pages last I checked. Then her family has Rachel, Maddie, Nate, Stryfe, Scott and Havok (if you would include them) and Cable who to me is just Jean's son because with Maddie and Scott's genes Cable was born and Maddie has all of Jean's genes being Jean's clone. So to me it would make sense for an exact replica of Cable to be born from Jean. I was just using these clues to guess that it may be Jean. Oh, yeah her niece and nephew were mutants too. So I'm just using the facts here.
Well I'm more with Dihan: no Jean. She wouldn't fit the story otherwise. MUA2 is also supposed to be a sequel right? IMO no Nightcrawler and no Jean ^^ They should've made Nightcrawler unlockable @ PC version and let Jean die and come back Badass in MUA2. That would fit the story.
For the clue, I'd say Cyclops & Cable too. Cyclops because fans love him. I don't, but why the hell did they include him as a DLC? Because of the requests. Only logical answer to a relative of Cyclops would be either one of his brothers (Vulcan is a badguy for what I've read @ some sites), but Havok would be a surprise. However I think Cable would be the person most people would like to see (as a playable relative of Cyclops).
I just hope they don't make Corsair playable XD That would suck: Nick Fury clone :P

For a total surprise: X-23 and Daken :P Ye I know what the business is between the two, not straight relatives, but that would be a surprise, however there's less than 5% chance that this would be their choice.
I feel Cable and Hercules. They both fit the category. Powers do run in the family....
Remember that the clue could apply to only one of them.
I think one of them will be Deadpool, which would leave the other character as the one who's got mutant family. I'd rather have it be Cyclops than Cable or Jean, and I'm not even that big of a Cyclops fan, I just think that he is THE X-Men.
By the way, the clues are from the same guy who said "energy manipulation" for Iron Fist, "energy blasts" for Songbird and "makes shocking revelations" for Storm. In other words, expect Captain Britain.

My vote is Scarlet Witch. She is a prominent avenger, and well known mutant. So not only does she fit both the roels of mutant and avenger, but she also adds a female all the while fitting with the clue of having a sister, brother, dad, and niece as mutants. And don't forgot if she were to have children, it has been fortold that they will be rather strong mutants.
She has two children - Wiccan and Speed.

I agree. I think that the game developers could have done a whole lot better on her. I also hated how four of her powers had the same effects and animations. To me those four hex projectiles powers were all the same to me.
She was lol, the only fun powers were combustion and the one that turned enemies into boxes. They made her insanely powerful in comic books so i doubt they are even thinking of her for the game. But if they do end up using her i hope they can come up with better powers for her.

I like Jean grey. She has to be my favourite Marvel Herion with Invisible Woman, Shadowcat and Emma Frost. I do miss Jean when she was limited. Jean has came back as the Dark Phoenix and has came to kill another five billion people'. Also I do get sick and tired of her dieing then popping back in out of no where. Anyway I don't remeber her bieng dead in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 timeline. She was alive in Marvel Ultimate Alliance. She was brainwashed then she was kidnapped and THEN you had to choose if either Jean or Nightcrawler should die. Either way. The Phoenix would of yet again bonded with Jean to ressurect her. Even if she did die during MUA2 the Phoenix probably just restored her again. Jean is cool though.
