He's right you must say "I'm from the USA" not America, because in that case, technically, I'm American too, because America includes Mexico, Canada, Colombia, and a lot of countries :)

Coming from South America, I have little problem with using the word "American" to refer to the people of the USA, since I don't think there's a short way to say "person of the USA", and it's internationally accepted.
But that's not the case with the name of the country (USA is shorter to write, and has the same number of syllables as "America").

My memory is associative, meaning I can't recall anything directly, but if I stare at my own post from yesterday about it, the associations and thoughts in my head will bring out what is needed to solve the problem. This poses a lot of fun issues concerning exams (both taking and giving, as I've decided to stick to teaching kids for now) as I can't always remember the right answers to questions I myself ask of others =)

well, it wasn't Jesus or God who wrote the bible, people did. People are flawed and narrow minded, specially people from 2000 years ago. plus, there's always the way you interpret what's written as well. people who defended racial segregation, slavery, were against women voting and so on always used quotes from the bible to back their points of view. There's even a quote in the bible that states that a woman that doesn't scream loud enough to be heard by someone while being raped should be stoned to death.

Yeah too bad its basically ending with most of the cast leaving now. BTW you may not like reading but I would recommend checking out the Legacy Quest. Its an X-Men trilogy based on the Legacy Virus during the late 90s. Jean is one of the major characters, at least for the first one. Haven't read the other two yet. She has a lot of spotlight in the first book so I'd imagine she also gets it during the other two. :)

I used to read a lot as a kid, but having had to read literature novels for high school took the fun out of it, and then having had to read scientific literature for my studies made me not want to read books in my spare time anymore.
