Title: (04/17/12) UPDATED! Nowhere Man's releases (Colossus, Gambit, Rogue)

MODS

:gambit: GAMBIT - MUA2

This mod is the 2.0 version/conclusion of Marvelfan's booster, as agreed with him.
Powerset:
- Card Shuffle: Rapidly flings cards charged with kinetic energy with extreme precision;
- Staff Slam: Charges his staff and violently hits the ground with it doing radial Damage;
- Detonation: Charges an enemy with kinetic energy that will harm target for a short while and then blow up, doubling the overall Damage;
- Full House: Throws several charged cards that explode violently on contact, knocking targets back;
- Cajun Slash: Triple staff melee attack in quick succession;
- Royal Flush: Throws down charged cards on the floor that will blow up when enemies approach them, causing popup damage;
- King of Hearts: Uses his hypnotic charm to make enemies less effective in battle; (reduces enemies defense and attack ratings)
- Energy Form: Turns parts of his body into energy, improving defense and movement speed;
- Kinetic Fury: Adds Energy damage to melee attacks for the entire party;
- 52 Pickup: Throws cards into the air which rain down Energy damage.

:stark: IRON MAN - MUA2

Powerset:
- Repulsor Ray: A fast-firing particle beam that causes massive Knockback;
- Candela Disc: A single projectile with an explosion radius that, if fully charged, stuns victims for a short while;
- Micro-Pulse Barrage: Rapidly fire off a stream of lasers, which repeatedly bounce off walls at higher levels;
- Nano Assault: Radial energy shockwave, with smaller secondary shockwaves;
- A.P. Rockets: Fires out two Anti-Personnel Rockets which trace their target and explode on impact. Automatic KO to targets with low Health percentage;
- Uni-Beam: Fires a concentrated blast of pure energy that pierces the targets if fully charged;
- Overclock: Gives the suit a burst of energy, temporarily increasing movement speed and damage;
- Photonic Shield: Creates a force field out of pure light that deflects nearly all projectile and beam attacks;
- Energy Reroute: Greatly reduces energy spending for the entire party;
- Air Strike: Launch a flurry of missiles into the air, dealing massive Energy Damage to all enemies in the area.

:rogue: ROGUE

Powerset:
- Smash: Increased melee punch that causes knockback and has a high chance of doing critical damage;
- Life Theft: Touches the target causing damage, draining EP, stunning and blocking their powers for a time;
- Tremor: Punches an enemy and uses the momentum to come down hard with a smash attack doing radial damage;
- Torpedo Strike: Lunges forward and attacks in a torpedo fashion knocking enemies back. The longer the tap the farther she flies;
- Power Recall 1: Recalls the templates of the ACTIVE powers of her fellow X-Men she has absorbed in the past;

BOOSTERS

:capamer: CAPTAIN AMERICA

- New passive ability called "Peak Human Speed", which increases movement speed by 10%;
- Added knockback to Energy Shield;
- Changed costume passives;
- MUA2 menu animations;
- MUA2 double jump;
- Additional power called "Shield Shock", a quick slam that stuns targets.

:colossus: COLOSSUS

- Pulverizing Punch: only stuns if charged now;
- Earthquake: increased speed and now dmg and radius increase gradually as you tap;
- Siberian Express (New Power): A triple punch attack, each with a chance to take 1/3 of the victims' health;

- Soaring Strike: now does double damage to stunned targets (great to combine with Pulverizing Punch;
- Take Down: only spends EP once, so you can run as long as you want. Also changed dmg of each hit;
- Intmidation: made so that enemies' defense is lowered and instead of making them run away it now decreases their speed as in "scared into paralysis";
- Thick Skin: renamed to "Galvanized Skin", decreases dmg taken and adds dmg reflection;
- Colossal Crash: increased dmg, added massive knockback and increased radius.

:strange: DOCTOR STRANGE

- Eldrish Aura: Increased exponentially the life, damage and speed;
- Eye of Agamotto: decreased the life but increased the healing factor to +5;
- Reassigned icons;
- 10% movement speed increase;
- Changed Passives;
- Mind Wipe: Replaced by "Seraphim's Protection", a force-field that harms foes that get too close.

:elektra: ELEKTRA

- Passive Hability: Light Feet - Movement speed increased by 15%;
- 2 new loadscreens;
- Now always holds her sais to look more deadly;
- Nerve Strike: now has the damage that came in the default talent file but was blocked in the powerstyle;
- Sai Stab: does deadly strikes to stunned foes. The higher the lvl, the greater the HP percentage taken;
- Ninja Stars: no longer chargeable, make the same amount of DMG in bleeding;
- Death's Touch: now has up to 55% chance of instant knockout when fully charged;
- Hand's Reach: Summons hand ninjas to attack enemies. Higher lvls to attack more enemies. New effect and fixed the not-vanishing ninjas. (looks better if Elektra or Blade are the first in the herostat or first selected in heroselect);

- Spin Kick: no longer chargeable, no longer has health effect, causes knockback (great for when she's surrounded or to make shielded foes vulnerable);
- Calm Mind: increases attack speed, DMG and finisher DMG;
- Focused Chi: increases critical chance for melee moves and critical dmg for the entire team;
- Assassin's Creed: Converts part of the dmg done to HP and EP for the entire team (New effects);
- Changed the passives.

:ghostr: GHOST RIDER

- Changed Penance Stare to absorb health instead of energy and has a chance to paralyse victims for a while (kinda like in the movie);
- Added Might;
- Added the "run confused" thing to Damnation, that's in the description, but didn't happen at all;
- Got all effects to work properly together so you can have simultaneously all 4 best skins ever made (IMO) for Ghost Rider (skins, huds and effects all included);

:hulk_icon: HULK

- New passive ability called "Berseker Strength" in which damage, speed and size increase as his health gets lower:
Less than 75% HP = +25% DMG and Speed, +10% size
Less than 50% HP = +50% DMG and Speed, +20% size
Less than 25% HP = +100% DMG and Speed, +30% size;
- Added Radiation Immunity;
- Rage mode does not exist anymore;
- Hulk Knock Down: tackle damage decreased, dmg of each punch increased;
- Fury replaced by "Gamma Wave": Emmits an aura of gamma radiation that harms enemies that come in range and grants him resistance to the last damage type that hit him ;

- Renamed all the powers to Stan Leeish aliteration names;
- Slam: Increased radius and now does double damage to stunned targets;
- Cyclone Punch: Since he spins around I made it so he can hit several targets in a small radius, but only stunnes if fully charged;
- Hulk Smash: gave it a 25% chance of instant KO.

:warbird: MS. MARVEL

- Binary Boost: now is an individual boost that skin-swaps into her Binary skin. Adds energy dmg to melee attacks and sharply reduces energy spending;
- New flight effect (recolored Rogue's cause I think it looks like an energy trail and that makes a lot more sense on Ms. Marvel. I have given Rogue a new one, so don't worry bout it.);
- Changed passives;
- 10% movement speed increase ;
- One new Binary loadscreen;
- Changed her elemental resistance to an energy resistance at a higher lvl;
- Includes an alternate Warbird skin by aventureiromax to replace her Binary skin and hud by me.

:nfury: NICK FURY

- Sniper: Was supposed to have a 25% chance of instant knockout but didn't. Fixed that. The stun increase is still not present, but at least it's not described in the talent file;
- One more power called "Shooting Mayhem", a radial one, since he didn't have;

- Frag: Increased damage, radius and now it only delivers damage when it explodes, not when thrown (great for when he's invisible).

:phoenix: PHOENIX

I know what you're thinking: "What? Another freakin Jean booster?". Well, you're wrong, this is a Phoenix booster. The way I see it the TK booster is a classic Jean with only her mutant powers. MF's booster and MUA2 conversion is Grant Morrison's Jean, with mutant and Phoenix powers mixed up. Mine is modern Jean, fully merged with the Phoenix Force, with all fiery powers. It's also a fusion of all her Phoenix incarnations. Try it out, it's really fun!

New Powerset:
- Cosmic Flare: A huge blast of cosmic light that seeks enemies and explodes on impact doing radial damage;

- Telekinesis: Levitates enemies and objects;
- Phoenix Spawn: Summons an offspring of the Phoenix Force that fires homing projectiles for a time. Maximum of 5 entities;
- Phoenix Rage: Releases a powerful wave of cosmic energy popping the enemies up in a radius;
- Phoenix Rise: Lifts target in the air and ignites them in cosmic flames, doing Damage for a time;
- Dark Phoenix: Boosts her offensive capacity by increasing her melee damage output and chance for critical hits;
- White Phoenix: Boosts her defensive capacity by reflecting projectile and beam attacks.

Skins:
- Phoenix;
- Modern Phoenix;
- Short-Hair Ultimate;
- Wolverine and the X-Men.
PS: All skins now have Dark and White Phoenix variants, custom made for each. For additional skins use number 12315 or higher. Here's 2 examples:

- New Grabsmash;
- Added fire immunity;
- Recolored blocking effect (same as the one from Invisible Woman's or MarvelFan12345's Jean boosters);
- She actually changes into Dark Phoenix or White Phoenix while using the boosts;
- New or recolored power effects;

- 2 Phoenix loadscreens (normal and dark);

:quicks: QUICKSILVER

- Accelerated Strike: now is an increasing speed loopy double punch;
- Quantum Kick: increased radius, dmg and added knockback;
- Mach Speed: now delivers less dmg and spends less ep, so you can do it several times in a row popping the guy up repeatedly, or hit multiple foes;
- Supersonic: replaced by "Speedster Perception" that functions like Cosmic Awareness, slowing everything around for a time;
- Melee/Movement/Power Speed: I increased the movement speed in 40%, but descreased the speed of melee moves and anim of some powers so that his movement flows more naturally and you can see better what it is he's doing. He's still the fastest character, as he should;
- Changed Passives.

:scarletw: SCARLET WITCH

- Hex Bolts: substituted by Hex Beam, that has a high chance of critical hit;

- Misfortune: now blocks the enemies powers for a time;

:spiderwoman: SPIDER-WOMAN

- Spider's Blood: Increased the number of bounces from 3 to 10 and now the number of projectiles increases as you lvl up;
- Spider's Bite: Now called "Radioactive Sting", it gives target radiation poisoning that contaminates other foes as they get close to each other, dealing dmg for a time;
- Changed Passives;
- Added radiation resistance;
- 1 new loadscreen;
- New flying effect.

- Chain Lightning: now the chains deal same damage as the primary bolt and do more hit per second;

These are really neat. It's kind of funny, but my two favorite characters are probably the least liked among the MUA community here. Blade and Dr. Strange. The boosts for Strange are really great.

New booster. VERY simple stuff, but I think it really improved Thor's gameplay cause he has great offensive powers but pretty useless boosts. Hope you all enjoy.

I don't know... some mods caracters are very powerfulness... like Magneto... is almost impossible die (playing just!) with him (in Hard). The game already is very easy and now even more!!!

As I said personally to NM, I couldn't even have realized how bad Elektra was, because I simply don't remember using her before. But now I really dig her. I'll probably download Psylocke down the line, so I can form a ninja team along side with Ronin.

As for Magneto being overpowered, well, I quite like it. I mean, whatever scenario someone like Daredevil can survive through should be a walk in the park for Magneto anyway. I loved his booster too.

little tip for elektra. at top lvls try using focused chi and ninja stars together. she'll throw them really quickly. great to use against bosses.

Almost everything is fine, but hail storm does`t work. I started new game and used cheat to make 99 level. Casting animation is playing, but there was no cloud or any damage at all. It is possible to fix it?

I have many mods (include Official Characters 1.2), but for Storm have only one - yours. But without this boost Hail Storm working as usual, and with - don`t working at all. And I definitely correctly install this boost, there are two files in it, storm.engb and ps_storm.engb, right?

exactly. and since 80 people have downloaded this booster and this bug has never been reported, I assume that something went wrong with YOUR game. but I can't just guess what happened. the only suggestion I can give you is to erase all storm files from the talent and powerstyle folders and extract the booster again. try that and let me know if it works.

EDIT: another thing that sometimes happened to me is that some effects don't work well when I select heroes individually in the heroselect. happened all the time with scarlet witch's flying effect. what I do now is place them in the order I want inside the herostat and use the default roster. by doing that even the need to restart games when I change most things doesn't exist anymore.

What can I say? Right now I use this boost on COMPLETELY clean game, installing on my laptop. Chain Lightning and Mist Cover work perfect, but Hail Storm don`t work. It`s a fact. Also

it's just weird, you two seem to be the only people with this problem. I'm gonna try reuploading the files. if that doesn't work than a more experienced modder may be able help you, cause I'm out of ideas. Here and for all other people that downloaded it, it seems to be working fine.

that's just impossible, since the dmg from the talentfile only appears as it is. I wouldn't be able to have it do different dmg than what shows in game even if I wanted to. if you're talking bout difference from the rdmg it does in an unmodded Storm, it's really supposed to be 3x higher. It's exactly what was entended.

Its unmodded Storm 99 level with 110 focus :). But if I, for example, use Lightning Strike 1 rank with 27-30 dmg, it deals 28 or 29, so as Chain Lightning. But why Hail Storm deals 3x lesser, what was intended? It seems really strange for me...

oh, now I get it, you use the "show dmg" option. well, wouldn't know about that cause I never ever use it. the dmg delivered is what is in the talentfile and, therefore, in menu. if you wanna edit the "show dmg" numbers, I haven't a clue how to do that. maybe someone else can help you with that.

Well done my friend, she's indeed much better now. I love the update to her Probability Syphon, I think it's my favorite update since the new boost works like a shield and that's cool. I like the new beam and Misfortune and Combustion are more effective now.
And I liked the new twist of both Hex Bolts (previously Reality Shift) and Hex Explosion. You found a neat way to combine two powers in one :)

Found some problems: improved chance of critical hit for Hex Beam don't work. I was completely assured of it when change critical chance in scarletwitch.engb from 0.1-0.5 to 0.9-1.0.
And VERY low damage from Combustion. On hard difficulty this skill is useless.

as for the bug report on the hex beam it has been fixed.

as for combustion it is supposed to be low dmg cause the idea is for it to be a defensive attack cause as long as enemies are on fire they keep reacting to pain and are unable to attack. you're supposed to use it when surrounded to have plenty of time to attack them with the other powers.

as for hex explosion, the difference is that now you can hit enemies while flying, which you couldn't before. my understanding of the word is exactly what it means.

as for your attitude, you should really work on your manners. bug reports are always welcome, but straight out rude criticism is not. I'm not getting paid and you're not paying. therefore, I have no obligation to please you whatsoever. If you don't like my work, don't download the boosters.

Maybe it was not your intention, but I found quite rude when someone say that your work, or a part of it (in this case one updated power), is useless. Well to be frank, it was rude.  He could have said something like at higher levels he feels it doesn't deal enough damage to warrant full time use (as in total damage.  Combustion in XML2 did initial damage and then damage over time, it wasn't one huge shot of damage so that's probably not something he's considering).  He could have said the power damage, when compared to other powers, is under par (which might not be entirely accurate unless he looks at all the variables of the power).  He could have said *WHY* the power isn't as good as it should be (he has to consider the strength of an AoE power instead of a single enemy attack).  Instead, he chose to say it's useless (which is an opinion by the way, not an error or a bug report, but an opinion), and didn't say why, which makes him useless.  That's like me painting a picture and asking your opinion on it, and you telling me it looks like ass.  While it may look like ass, that doesn't give me any details about why it doesn't look good or what needs to be changed to make it look better.

So Halmabad, if something isn't to your liking, explain WHY it isn't to your liking.  If the power doesn't deal enough damage, state that and back it up with examples.  If a power isn't "targeting" like it should, simply state the projectile in question just arbitrarily goes forward and never seems to actually target the enemy.  While Blaw didn't find what you said rude, I do because instead of being productive and trying to explain to Nowhere Man what is wrong with the mod, you chose to simply be an ass about it.  Bug/error reporting involves facts, not opinions.  Facts mean indisputable evidence in which everyone agrees.  While you may think the power is useless, someone else might not.

I'm sure he means targetable in the sense that the instead of the projectile just launching forward in a straight line, it is aimed at a nearby enemy and follows them to hit them.  To be more specific, the power is probably defined as a guided projectile entity instead of just a projectile.  Guided projectiles will turn at a certain rate to hit an enemy (in a sense, the bolt will "follow" the enemy), but some times they still do miss.

Have you leveled up the combustion to the maximum level?  I haven't played the mod so I don't know what kind of damage any of the powers do.  But if it deals less damage than any of the normal radial or "area of effect" powers, then maybe increasing the damage a bit is something that can be looked at.  However, from my understand when I played with Scarlet Witch in XML2, Combustion deals initial damage to an enemy, then they catch on fire and they get dealt damage over time.  I'm not sure how Nowhere Man did it, but radial and damage over time in both the same power is hard to balance because it can easily become broken.

actually, I changed to ONLY gradual dmg and very little dmg. as I said, the point is having a defensive move that doesn't really deal much damage but incapacitates enemies in radius for a time. something like emma's insanity plague in matt's booster. as for targetable, the main difference is the fact that you can hit people while flying, which you couldn't before. it does turn a little, but it's nowhere near, let's say, War Machine's rocket launcher.

Thank you, Burning Rage, for explanation, I think targetable, as Nowhere Man said, is possibility to hit enemies than flying use "next\previous target", at least it's working.
Combustion deals "harming" damage, and it seemed to me quite low (1/s on 1 spot, 9/s on 15, or something like that). But if Nowhere Man conceived it like defensive attack, maybe it's normal.
And again I have a bug-report, sorry :). Some skills didn't work and I think I know why.
Hex Explosion: because of "%scar_hex_explos_dm1" and "%scar_hex_explos_dm2"; these variables aren't present in scarletwitch.engb.
Hex Bolts: crates don't appear. Because of "entity = switch_p5_crate ;" . I suppose it might be "entity = scawitch_p5_crate ;" like in previous version.

hex explosion is supposed to make the same dmg to objects as it does to enemies. so, having two kinds of dmgs would be redundant.

As a sign of good faith I made a different version of the mod that has the specifications that you prefer. Just so you would be pleased.

knockback is easy to add, you can do it yourself since you know how to decompile ps. making it chargeable is way beyond my skill, cause she has no charging anims.

in the ps there's a box code, but the one lord magneto created, not the same as dr strange's. that's one of the reasons I recommend downloading both updates and use my ps. it was really a shame I couldn't just add his booster to mine, but he's been absent for months.

I just realized that there's no problem with the dmg showing, the fact is that there are 3 hits per second, so the dmg shown is the total per second devided by 3.

Thanks for all the boosters.  You're boosting some of my favorite characters!  When you worked on Storm, did you consider some sort of FOG power that would either slow the enemies or at least make their hits less accurate?

bout the attack, I did just that. Mist Cover is exactly that. she surrounds herself with mist(or fog, or cloud or whaterever u wanna call it, just rename it in the talentfile) and therefore dodges most attacks. same thing as having foes hits less accurate, isn't it?

making it cover the whole playing field is certainly beyond my can. but what I could do is have the Whirlwind Armor aura attach to a foe to make it less accurate. I never tried that b4 but I suppose it's doable. I can try it when I get home, I'm on a trip right now. but only if you're interested.

Not that this is a poll or anything, but I wanted to vote for Namor.  He is a classic Marvel character and one of my favorites.  I've always thought that he was stronger than what he can do in his mod.  Is there any way to make him swim faster?  I also like his electrifying power -- it just seems that he is a little slow to recover from it.  I'm sure you are creative or you wouldn't even be making these boosters!  Whatever you decide to work on next, thanks for your contributions so far.

I have a request.  Can you add any powers to Falcon and especially alter his Extreme so that he flies around and hits each enemy in the room similar to what Black Panther does in his Extreme?

Mmmm, I don't know, by some unknown reason ^^ you seems to like the same characters than me so I'm pretty sure that your next booster will be cool and I will use it as the others. But if need to pick one character, Rogue comes to my mind.

I just did some adjustments in 6 of my boosters: Magneto, Dr Strange, Ronin, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Thor.

- Dr Strange I fixed the forcefield that wouldn't work unless you had the Dazzler mod cause when I did I was too noob to know better and based the forcefield on Dazzler's powerstyle instead of Invisible Woman's. Since I had it and whiteking who tested it had it too it worked for us, but since I just reinstalled the game and have not yet reinstalled the Dazzler mod I just noticed now. Decided to replace it with Dr. Doom's with the harming in radius effect working great. That didn't even work in Dr. Doom, but a little ps editing took care of that ^^.
- Thor I changed Gaia's blessing from resistance to a healing factor that only works on him.
- For Ronin I added knockback that I realized was in the description of the nunchuck attack but didn't have.
- For Scarlet Witch I enhanced the knockback of Hex Explosion and now that I have more experience recoloring made her grabsmash prettier, recolored hex beam, gave it other effects that made it look more mystical and adjusted some other small things.
- Quicksilver and Magneto I just adjusted some small things that I realized made them better through gameplay.

Edit: Also just released a fix to deadpool that came with bugs from the factory :P.

Alright, I finally released all that I've been intensely working on for the past few days :)

What's new?

- New Phoenix mega booster with all new powerset;
- Elektra had several fixes for when she's suposed to and not supposed to show her sais, added the dmg that nerve strike had in the talent file and fixed some charging stuff that was still there. 2 great new powers by Gevth included in this new version;
- Managed to add the stun powerup to Deadpool's Teleport Flurry;
- Changed Ronin's Spinal Teaser powerup from critical hit chance to instant knockout chance, as I believe it was supposed to have;
- New Nick Fury fix;
- Updated Scarlet Witch booster with new flight effect, new Hex Beam and changed the Hex Bolts to homing projectiles;
- Added new effect for Storm's Mist Cover;
- Changed Doc Strange's forcefield to a new version that looks much better.

I'm glad I'm finally done now. I can at last start brainstorming on what it is that I'm gonna do to Namor.

Hope you all have a lot of fun with these major new releases :D

So as Doctor Strange (in Unlimited Booster Stats i added on Seraphim Protections as power8). Bugging the 4th character spot (known bug: freezed Xtreme attacks & landing, can't double jump) espesially:
Spider-Woman (MarvelFan's Booster Unlimited Version), Elektra (Your Unlimited Booster), etc. (never try iammingy's Blade MUA2 & Moon Knight and Gevth's Thing on a 4th spots before, i'll better try somewhere fast). This is what i know in gameplay test on my desktop before got crashed because of Falcon Mod i think or having a freezed on the game when restart a new game & scrappy screen that makes automaticly booting.

To be honest with you it freezes right from the start. Just when you choose SW. And its not the orignal mod since that one works

sounds like a herostat issue, make sure the list of characters at the beginning of the herostat isn't repeating any character or skipping a line, same thing for wanda's entry. also make sure the name over her herostat is spelled exactly like in the list.

also remember to check the list of characters in the beginning. I had that problem once, accidentally had the name of the character twice and therefore it crashed the game.

IMO, the best way to add new characters is to edit the herostat.cfg, open heroselect and select default team.

if you don't use the cape, the fact that the cape entry is there shouldn't crash the game. I don't know what's happening to your game exactly but noone else has complained yet and the booster works fine with me, so I assume it's something wrong with you herostat, not the booster. but I wanna help you get it right, love it when people try my stuff. let's continue this through PM.

EDIT: just so everybody knows, he got it to work and it's not a booster bug. download carefree ^^.

EDIT2: hey, people's gotta know when a mod is bugged or not. they have to make an informed decision =P.

nice booster, buddy...but somehow jean's wings doesnt work for me...I used to have an older mod (forgot by who) which has big wings during her flight and deleted the phoenx folder on the effects folder...did I just deleted some necessary files ? because before deleting them the old wings still appear and I'd like one of these two new wings to appear ( I've changed the herostat too)

the only person that made Phoenix wings b4 me was marvelfan, so I assume it's his booster you're talking about. I made this booster so that it would overwrite any jean version you have. what seems to be the problem is that you deleted the "phoenx" folder, that had all her npc effects, when my booster uses a new folder called "phoenix" (with an "i"). if you copied the flight effects into the phoenx folder they won't work cause the path for the flight effects takes you to the phoenIx folder. the safest way to install the booster is to just extract everything inside you mua folder and replace anything that's in there.

oh, MF's wings are still appearing? than it's obvious you didn't overwrite the herostat OR haven't relaunched the game with heroselect. EVERY time herostat is edited you must select your team again and relaunch the game otherwise the changes there won't work.

oh yes I forgot about that, it works now, thanks a lot :D  but one problem is the game crashes whenever I choose scarlet witch from the char selection screen,and no, I dont have her cape installed

is it possible to do these to Jean?
-replacing her movement on Cosmic Flare with her knockback attack movement
- to make her hold her head during Telekinesis with one of her hands similar to her knockback attack
-make the phoenix entity from Phoenix Spawn to blast through enemies when summoned instead of staying on the same spot and shoot projectiles
-increase the damage and radius of Phoenix Rage as well as lifting nearby objects instead of destroying them
-make Phoenix Rise a radial attack to lift many enemies and objects
-remove the radial effect and explosion from Phoenix Force, instead make only big wings appear during her xtreme, objects are lifted high instead of being destroyed,enemies are lifted up high first before taking massive damage and has chance of instant kill like Dark Phoenix's Consume Room
-replace her green Phoenix default skin with marvelfan's MUA2 skin as well as the Dark Phoenix and White Phoenix skins during transformation

I did it in the first place just cause I had some great ideas, but I don't even like the character that much. I thought since there are so many Jeannies here I'd be pleasing a lot of people. But I'm all Jeaned out. I really like how the booster turned out. Let's say it's "my custom booster". I did this booster based on dmg from other characters attacks and I'm definitely not making her more overpowered in any way, wanted her to have an "official character playing feel". Yes, she can die just like any other character. You really shouldn't be surprised, Jean does that a lot :P. You're welcome to try and make your own version. Like I said, all the stuff I've done can be used by anyone as long as credit is given.

oh yeah, I have been working on namor a lot. but b4 namor I'll release things I've done or am doing for rogue, ms marvel and gambit and there are some other things I'm doing for other modders. but I will finish Namor, don't worry about it. quoting mr fantastic "I promise you, I will do everything in my power until there's not a breath left in me. You're gonna be Ben again...I mean....you're gonna have a new Namor mod!" or something to that effect.

not really. I want it to have all the skins that are at works so I'm gonna wait as long as it takes for the skinners to finish them and I will NOT under any circumstance rush them, since they're doing me a favor. plus, the longer I take to release it the better it gets cause I get a brand-new-greatest-idea-ever-for-the-character every other day =P

I used to make that same mistake. updates in my thread every single week. then I realized noone was even noticing when I was releasing stuff anymore. now I take my time to release several more definite things together and make an impact :P

NEW UPDATE

I miss releasing stuff so, untill the 3 big projects I'm working on (Rogue, Gambit and Namor) are 100% done, I decided to release other smaller things I made in the meantime.

what's new?
- 3 new mini boosters to Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman and Ghost Rider;
- Final update to Ronin's Fix with sounds by Lars, added bleed dmg to Slice and Dice and totally fixed Echo Effect;
- Final update to Storm with increased elemental resistance, and changed Mist Cover to work as invisibility with increased dodging chance.
- Thanks to whiteking I learned a bit more bout skin-swapping and got Dark and White Phoenix boosts to work on all skins, though I did have to switch the TAS skin for her original skin. Also includes great new icons by Deedooo that mach the "fully merged with Phoenix" concept much better.

the original attack has energy dmg. for the booster I changed it to electricity cause it makes more sense and giver her more variety. as far as I know she had no radiation attacks prior to my booster.

she's being really tricky. I mean, I had finished her and then I decided to improve it and it's being really hard. making a loadscreen for the first time, working on sounds for the first time, all anims I had already done are being changed once again to fit new power ideas. it's being a real learning process, but it's advancing.

New release! I had actually done these a long time ago and intended to release them with Gambit and Rogue. But since I'm not being able to mod recently in order to finish them, I decided to do it now.

I don't know about you people, but VV characters always seemed really unbalanced to me, so I decided to do something about it. I found myself practically only using Controlled Burst and Knife Bomb with Black Widow and she had one overpowered boost and one that was almost negligible. Her X-Treme was also very weak, as Whiteking pointed out to me. As for Hawkeye his boosts seemed weird and he had 3 powers that immobilized foes. Awfully redundant if you ask me, so I gave them more variety.

I think they turned out pretty great. I have a lot more fun now playing with these characters. Let me know what you think and report bugs if there's any.

that's because I was doing these just for myself actually. but I thought they improved gameplay so much I showed them to whiteking and asked if he thought I should release them and he said I should. I don't even know if I can call them boosters, that's why I called them "Balance Upgrades".

Nowhereman, she looks brilliant :), i epcially like seeing rogue using magneto's shield and then using iceman's beam :) Absolutly brilliant, i have yet to check on compatibilty, (with her fellow x-men she uses powers from) but that will come later :), right now im enjoying her solo :)

she really rocks, especially Power Recall 1 and 2 which are excellent.
I also love how Tremor works now when it trips surrounding enemies
I've been waiting for a better Rogue since Life Theft doesnt steal powers in MUA and there were very limited absorbable enemies with generic powers in XML2, she was only fun at Danger Room Mode absorbing other main characters' powers
still waiting for Gambit...

just released a couple of updates for 4 of my releases:

Rogue:
- changed the pop-up to the defaultman pop-up cause it suits Rogue better and makes more sense for when she's using Wolverine's claws;
- changed how Detonation works to make it more useful cause I found myself always hoping that other powers would come in Power Recall 1. Now it makes better radial damage and stuns the first target;
- Fixed 2 reported bugs. The icons weren't properly assigned in the ps, so it showed up right in the bottom of the screen, but not for people who use controllers (which I don't, so I didn't know). The boost stats passive wasn't working by default in the xml2 pack and now it is.

Magneto:
- Changed some values of Shockwaves, cause it was just too overpowered. Made the dmg lower but the ep spendure is also lower. It's still a kick-ass power;
- Changed all of his melee moves, cause he used Invisible Woman's and I find them a bit too feminine. Now they're a lot more Magneto-like IMO.

Phoenix:
- Added a new Dark Phoenix Loadscreen (you know it, it's the one from xml2);
- Changed the sound for Cosmic Flare and, since Phoenix Rise already incapacitates the target, I made it explode on impact doing radial damage, which matches the effect perfectly;
- Changed several of the skins avaliable, now the skin-swap only happens with the first 2. The first the usual Phoenix one, and the second one uses Deedooo's new Modern Phoenix skins;
- Added the "From the Ashes" costume passive for both Phoenix skins;
- New added sound for Phoenix Rise;
- Changed charging effect for the knockback move from the hand to the head;
- Made the fire immunity work cause I had forgotten the herostat entry. Now works fine.

Scalet Witch:
- Edited effect for hex-beam, cause they used to cross each other quite frequently, now they hardly ever do that and also a new sound;
- Edited effect for Heal, without the spiral to make it more different from Probability Syphon, new sound and new anim as well;
- New values for hex-bolts that I think makes them a lot more balanced;
- New sound her grabsmash;
- Added the loadscreen I had made for her.

What to expect from me in the future?
Other than 3 projects I'm working on with other modders, from my workbench there are only 3 things I still entend to release:
- Gambit 1.1
- A major Quicksilver update with a new power, new anims, sounds, loadscreen and specially effects;
- Namor, of course.

Other than that I don't believe I'll update any of my releases any further, except maybe to add skins or mannequins other people make.

Thanks! Balance is something I always try to achieve. Hate under or overpowered characters or powers. 8 powers, all of them useful according to your strategy, that's my main goal. About DP and NC, the powers are exactly the same, so my suggestion is that you check the powerstyle and talentfile for this power in my fix and do exactly the same, except of course with nightcrawler's sound, effects and anims.

Could you be a little more specific with what I should look at?  It seems that very little has been altered.  Also Nowhere Man I have noticed that you like giving people speed boosts.  There is a little bug in which these boosted characters can't block unless you hold block then press a direction.  But if you put in the text bellow in the speed boost text it should be fixed.  Just to let you know for future speed buffs.  Keep up the good work.

you right click the winrar file and click extract here and copy and paste the files to your game

just uploaded a great update for Phoenix that includes
- new skins by Ariel for her classic Phoenix Dark and White variants
- new never-seen-before Ultimate Dark and White variants by Deedooo
- new WATX 90's skin with both Dark and White variants also by Deedooo
- changed effects for her transformations

Yes, now she has 2 custom skin-swaps for all of her 4 skins included. Yay!

I've been working so hard on Cable that, during a coffee break, just to catch some air, I decided to fix Cap Marvel that needed a balance upgrade A WHOLE LOT. Just talent and ps changes, but they made a HUGE difference in gameplay. People who download it, please gimme feedback.

I just read through your modifications to Captain Marvel (currently my favorite character).  I was looking forward to it with anticipation but then found that it seems he's been downgraded overall.  I like some of the changes (Nebula Beam, for example).  Is there a way to incorporate only part of the booster or is it all or nothing?

shooting stars has been downgraded cause it was just so powerful that it made every other attack useless since all you need was to use that one to kill everybody. nega phase has been downgraded in terms of healing factor cause at top lvls the healing factor was literaly 10x higher than wolverine's O.o. the rest has all been upgraded. the life for the boosts has been increased. the overall dmg for star fall has been increased (it just takes 3 to 5 seconds for it all to be applied). the range for star fall has been increased a lot too. the charging time for star beam and nebula beam has been decreased.

you probably think it's a downgrade cause you used shooting stars a lot or you haven't lvld him up. his attacks get great in higher lvls.

I know some people love to use incredibly overpowered characters, but than what's the chalenge?

either way, play with it a little more having in mind what I just said and get back to me. thanks for the feedback.

Thank you so much for all those amazing fixes and boosters! Elektra used to be one of the first I'd swap with another character but you actually made her fun to play..!

Just wondering about Hawkeye: why did you decide to decrease the multishot damage? I didn't think it did so much damage anyway, and i find it a rather slow and clumsy attack to begin with... I thought he could use more of an upgrade, especially for those earlier powers.

I guess it's all a matter of strategy. I always used Ice Pick to freeze enemies and then have time to charge Multi-Shot in a short range, which gave me pretty much a certainty of One Hit KO's. But if you think the dmg is too low it's very easy to fix that. just let me know.

I'm in the process of re-installing & re-modding MUA on a new computer and have actually used ALL of your updates (that is, for the characters I like to use, which include Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch). All of those changes and additions make so much more sense than the old powers! Really got to hand it to you, it's amazing!

The Hawkeye Multi-Shot is the one and only slight issue I have, because it's his first power and because it's so slow. The Ice Pick strategy is a good one (I used it myself as well) but sometimes you'd want to get some straight special shots in (that's the character's main trick!), and also, he's a really difficult character to start out with, since the better powers only come later (and it doesn't really make sense to use Hawkeye and not shoot arrows!). So upping the damage would get my vote. (Or, if it's possible at all, making the attack quicker? Or wouldn't that look natural anymore?)

So, I said I'd release a small update for everything and here they are:

dr strange: included the loadscreen from the pack, fixed blocking issue, reassigned icons;
elektra: included 2 loadscreens (one from the pack, one never seen b4) and fixed blocking issue;
hulk: fixed blocking issue;
magneto: fixed blocking issue, adjusted some dmgs and once again updated melee moves;
ms marvel: fixed blocking issue, added Binary loadscreen from the pack;
nick fury: got it even more balanced, added a new attack for those of you who are like me and wanted a new attack without him turning nanite;
scarlet witch: new sounds, new anims, adjusted values;
spider-woman: added loadscreen from the pack;
black widow: added mua2 flip double jump and 2 loadscreens (1 from the pack, one brand new);
captain marvel: added new 616 Mar-Vell loadscreen and flying effect;
deadpool: adusted Assassin Strike, doubled teleporting distance, fixed blocking issue, added double jump;
hawkeye: reverted the dmg for multi-arrow cause people seem to like it better as it was.

that's it!

i just want to congratulate you Nowhere Man and everyone else that took part in making the mods; they're brilliant.
i would just like to ask you about the elektra booster more specifically the power where she calls the ninjas; are they supposed to stay in-game for ever? because i now have an army, a whole screenfull of ninjas that wont dissapear and is really difficult to move past them, they block my way :D . so what i'm really asking is if the respective power is supposed to behave this way or is it just a bug that i've encountered. thx

No, they're not supposed to stay, it's a problem we haven't been able to fix yet. Actually, I believe it only works if Elektra is at the top of the herostat file or the first character selected with heroselect.

ok, 8 new things

New Venom and Colossus balance upgrades

updated Ronin, Deadpool, Thor, Storm (with Kiadar's suggestion), Hawkeye and the best one is Elektra, who received a major and wonderful update. I'm really proud to make the worst character in the game become one of the best IMO. As B4, done it in colaboration with Gevth.

Cara tive a ideia de 2 boost pro Hwkye....: Um poderia ser algo como aumentando a precisão das flexas e aumentando a chance de morte, tipo aquele poder que vc melhorou com a elektra, mas com flexas claro. acho que naum é difícil de fazer. Vou tentar fazer este.
E o outro e mais legal seria um esquema igual do Arqueiro verde de Smallville... ele atira para cima com uma besta e desaparece... seria tipo um teleporter... apareceria em outro lugar... I don't know exactly what you mean by that. Maybe you use a controller and not a keyboard like myself. using the keyboard there are indeed 10 power keys, including x-treme. someone who does use a controller can answer your question.

I do not use a controller but a keyboard. Seafarers in the game options you can see that there are 9 powers and related keys (8 regular + 1 extreme) but in the elektra's booster have added a ninth power normal (Assassin's Creed: Converts part of the dmg done to HP and EP for the Entire team (New effects) and I can not assign any key as the powers are provided for up to 8 + 1 extreme then 9 not 10. in the game option there is only 9 total slot for power and not 10.

true that in the control selection, but that's just cause the characters with most powers in the default game is dr strange and he has 8 + xtreme. I myself put a 9th power and just press KB9 and the power activates. icon showing up perfectly and so on. perhaps the problem is that you reassigned the power keys and you have no way of using the 9th power except by using the KB9. cause if you don't reassign the keys, the power is the number 9 and that's it.

if your x-treme is assigned to 9 try changing it to 0.

Finally had time to test the news. Among the entries I liked best were:

Colossus balance upgrades, which was great.

Elektra, the worst that has become one of the best characters in the game.

Storm, which was just perfect.

Thanks for posting such great boosters. These are pretty sweet. I love the Elektra mod. Game play is great.
However, I do have a small problem with the Elektra mod. Every time I try to add a to the powers screen my system locks up
and I have to use task manager to kill the game. I am not certain what is wrong.

not a problem to post this here. but your problem seems herostat related and this booster does not include a herostat. so, maybe you added some skin wrong or something like that. no alteration I made to the character could cause the problem you're having.

I found a fix for the Elektra problem. I had to install the Official Characters 1.2 then install the Elektra updates. It corrected my problem. This is a sweet mod. I love the "Hand's Reach" power. Pretty sweet.

FIXES/BALANCE UPGRADES

:blackwidow: BLACK WIDOW
- Controlled Burst: Now does less dmg but spends less ep. Just thought killing bosses with 3 shots was too overpowered. She can still do it by tapping but it takes more time;
- Weeping Widow: Was the same dmg as Flash Bang but with no stun powerup. Seemed pretty useless overall. Now does a lot more dmg but it takes some time;
- Flash Bang: Slightly increased the stunning time;
- Widow's Charm: Now increases converted foes stats as you lvl up and lasts longer. Does more dmg once  life expires;
- Soviet Strike: Now works like Focused Chi or BLaw's Symbiote boost;
- Red Dawn: Used to make her 100% invulnerable for 3 minutes, which is weird IMO. Now works like Thing's Tough Skin, except the other way around, increasing her defense against projectiles and beams more than against melee;
- Russian Fury: Sharply increased dmg;
- 2 new loadscreens;
- MUA2 flip double jump;
- Changed passives.

:genis: CAPTAIN MARVEL
- Nebula Beam: The charging of all characters takes 1 second and for him it took 3, that was fixed with effects and sounds in synch. Since there were 2 chargeable attacks with the exact same damage (this one and Star Beam), in order to make them different I made the damage not double and it only explodes when fully charged but in a much greater radius that increases as he lvls up;
- Negablast: This attack and Star Fall both popped-up enemies and this one had an unused knockback value in the talent file. So, now, it doesn't pop-up foes but deals knockback that increases as he lvls up. Also increased radius just a tad;
- Star Beam: Fixed the charging time with effect and sounds in synch;
- Shooting Stars: Was just waaaaay too powerful. Made it more like Ironman's Nano Assault with lower tap dmg and some knockback to it so that it can't just kill every enemy in the screen, because they get out of range as you tap;
- Star Fall: It had a lingering effect and camera shake, but nothing was happening in terms of power. So, I made it have a lingering damage as well that made this attack have a lot more sense;
- Cosmic Rage: Fixed power usage and life issues and made the values more compatible to the other characters;
- Nega-Phase: Also fixed power usage and life, making it last longer than before. On the other hand I made the healing factor a lot lower (it was the insane amount of 50%/sec at top lvl) and made all the values show on the menu screen, which it didn't;
- Flying effect;
- New Mar-Vell loadscreen;
- Passives: Some passives were simply broken or the codes were wrong. Fixed them.

:cyclops: CYCLOPS
- Changed costume passives;
- Optic Stream: increased damage, made it pierce and gave it knockback;
- Roundhouse Kick: since he had radial, double strike anim and effect I made that to the power, which used to be quite useless to me, but now is a very much nedded physical dmg attack to use against energy resistant foes;
- Optic Power: Turned it into "Spatial Awareness", which increases chance of criticals for beam powers and chance to dodge projectile and beam attacks;
- Optic Rage: it didn't his all the enemies on screen, fixed that.

:deadpool: DEADPOOL
- Assassin Strike: put the "Assassin" in it. Instant KO for enemies with low HP. Great cause he has several attacks that take a little DMG of many foes. This one you use to finish them off;
- Granade Toss: There was something wrong with the powerstyle cause it did not have a radius in the explosions, the result was that it barely ever hitted anyone. Now I gave it a radius and, just for fun, added a pop-up powerup that I think matches the power perfectly. Also made them explode closer to him, so that even if it's not aiming at a foe it still hit nearly everyone in radius;
- Teleport Flurry: Now stuns the foes as it was supposed to and is described in the talent file but didn't;
- Added double jump (teleport in triple jump);
- Doubled teleporting distance;
- Also, as usual, messed with the passives and gave him that 10% speed boost I love giving to martial artists :P.

:hawkeye: HAWKEYE
- Paralyzer: Now called Quick-Shot. Instead of stunning now it has knockback and does a little more dmg. The idea is to use it in order to get enemies to keep their distance;
- Adamantium Arrow: Decreased initial dmg but increased harming dmg. Overall the dmg is higher. Now called Napalm Arrow, cause it makes no sense having adamantium burn foes;
- Ice Pick: Increased freezing time a bit;
- Piercing Shock: Now called Adamantium Arrow. Instead of that stunning-like effect, now it goes through and through with a chance of instant knockout. Makes a lot more sense for an adamantium arrow IMO;
- Hyper Shot: Now called Hawk's Revenge, increases arrow dmg and converts part of the dmg into HP;
- Hawk's Revenge: Now called Hawk's Reflexes. Team boost that increase dodging chance;
- Changed passives;
- Added MUA2 flip double jump.

:humant: HUMAN TORCH
- Flame Thrower: increased damage and made it so that the victims burn in their place for a while, so you can turn and they keep buring;
- Fire Storm: decreased the impact damage, but made it so that enemies that come in range of the fire on the ground burst in flames and run away in despair with great harming damage;
- Wildfire: added knockback;
- Changed costume passives;
- Nova Blast: increased dmg and made it increase his elemental, energy and radiation resistance.

- Blizzard: was the best power visually, but one of the worst to use, so I increased the number of hits, edited some things, and now I think it lives up to the visual;

- Polar Explosion: decreased the damage, but increased the life of the freezing.

- Changed costume passives;
- Pinball: made it so that it does 3x more damage depending on the speed;
- Propeller Arms: now has a 25% change to take great percentage of the victim's health;
- Elastic Crush: increased the dmg to stunned foes to 200%;
- Drastic Elastic: causes enormous knockback if fully charged, but no longer doubles the damage;
- Rubberband Recoil: it was treated as chargeable in the talent file, but it didn't have charging anims or powerstyle entries. Fixed that by balacing damage and radius;
- Fantastic Fists: the critical chance at top lvls was 125% when it clearly was meant to be 25%, fixed that and made it so that all dmg in increased, not only melee. Considering all his attacks are physical it made sense to me;
- Elastic Evasion: now not only reflects beams and projectiles, it also adds melee damage reflection;
- Orbital Attack: made it recover HP and EP for the entire party.

:nightcrawler: NIGHTCRAWLER
- Changed costume passives;
- New passive ability called "Nocturnal Speed", movement speed increased by 20%;
- Now he no longer has the swords on his back unless he's using the "Sword Combat" boost;
- Added Daredevil's double jump, triple jump to teleport;
- Increased teleporting distance;
- Acrobatic Kick: decreased damage but gave it an arc, so it can hit several targets. Only stuns when fully charged;
- Sword Mastery: now has a chance to take 1/2 of stunned enemies HP;
- Bamf Flurry: now stuns targets and does double dmg if they're already stunned;
- Bamf Blitz: now all attacks work and the number of attacks is trully defined by lvl (meaning the animation doesn't keep going if he can only deliver 3 hits);
- Shadow Crawl: now increases critical chance as well and stuns with criticals;
- Blindside Blitz: attacks more foes and made it so that the individual damage is the greater one and the radial is the smaller one;
- One additional Loadscreen.

:ronin: RONIN
- Grabsmash: almost did no dmg at all. Now is ok;
- Flying Nunchaku: added knockback that the description said it had and didn't;
- Spinal Teaser: used to deliver massive amounts of dmg, even to bosses, while she was still tackling the foe. The critical chance was 75% no matter what lvl. Now all these weird features have been fixed and the attack has a great chance of causing instant knockout;
- Slice and Dice: even though she used both sword and dagger the attack only had one hit. Now it has 2 hits and the radius is better defined. Gave it high critical chance;
- Changed Passives;
- Echo Effect: fixed all energy spending issues and matched the different dmgs to the original characters powers;
- New Boosts (replace the old ones)
  - Photographic Reflexes: increases defense and dodging chance;
  - Critical Focus: increases critical chance and critical DMG (use in combination with Slice and Dice and it's a killer);
- Power Strike: increased DMG and gave it massive knockback;
- Features all PSP sounds, converted by LarsAlexandersson.

:venom: VENOM
- Tendril Thrust: put the dmg in synch with the effect and added knockback;
- Venom Swing: now does dmg when enemies are hit (for those who can, do that to Spider-Man as well, works like a bitch);

- Claws: now increases melee dmg, critical dmg and critical chance for melee moves;
- Symbiote Sludge: no longer holds foes after the effect has already vanished and does dmg on impact and over time;

its kinda funny...i just made a captain america booster with the same powers added. are the skeletons from the mua2 assets? for some reason it never occurred to me to use the animations from that. the assets are for the Wii version of mua2, correct? not the xbox360 version?

It's compatible with the xml2 version of Jean. I may be wrong but I believe MF's mua2 Jean has different skeletons. If it doesn't then it is.

sim, tenho na minha lista 8 projetos ainda, embora alguns sejam só pra mim. o q estou trabalhando agora é o Cable, q estou fazendo em parceria com o BLaw e, claro, este sim será lançado. porque alguns são apenas pequenas modificações q faço só para mim mesmo. customizações de personagens q, para qq jogador, estariam perfeitos, mas eu prefiro editar uma coisinha ou outra para meu gosto pessoal. inclusive de personagens que foram feitos ou editados já por outros modders que fizeram um trabalho ótimo. seria até injusto eu chamar algumas destas modificações de melhoras, quando são na verdade só personalizações que muitos poderiam achar até mesmo que pioram o gameplay do personagem.

Nowhere, inacreditável. Só agora percebi que você tem grandes chances de ser brasileiro também! Cara, parabéns pelo seu trabalho, viu? Tenho tentado aprender o começo da parte mais não " download"  do fórum, em suma: aprender a fazer skins e depois mods. Já manjei como se faz HUDs (aleluia), mas tenho apanhado. Cara, o que pega que esse povo aqui se nega a fazer um vídeo de youtube mostrando como abrir uma skin, achar os offsets...depois outra de como fazer uma skin e uma série de vídeos explicando como se faz um mod?

Fiquei pensando que, se rolasse isso, ao invés da quantidade de mods que temos por aqui, teríamos uma verdadeira chuva de personagens e versões melhoradas de outros mods...afinal, informação é poder--mas informação difundida é OVERpower! rs

Queria tentar um primeiro mod bem bobinho: Pegar a Elektra, tentar mexer no modelo para colocar as mangas, colocar um bolt-on de máscara e cabelo e colocar os bolt-ons de bastões do Daredevil (editados em cor) para conseguir um mod da Harpia bem bobo, que depois poderia ir sendo melhorado....

Mas sequer consigo brincar com as skins...rs vou ficar por aqui mesmo olhando o que o pessoal faz...mas uma hora aprendo! mais uma vez PARABENS cara! Eu pago um pau pra quem tem a manha de fazer esse trabalho de mod!

bom, eu tb num sei fz skins. mas como tem skinners ótimos no forum e poucos coders ativos nem vejo necessidade de aprender. a Harpia já está sendo trabalhada pelo whiteking. ele anda ocupado, mas é um modder mto competente. tenho certeza q vc vai gostar do resultado.

olha, pode num ter video, mas tem inúmeros tutoriais para fz mods e skins. é bastante leitura, mas tem tudo q vc queira aprender a fazer.

Bom mesmo era ter uns videos em português de como trocar poderes de um personagem para outro e tal, esse sim senti uma falta danada :/, já que não consegui pelos tutoriais em inglês, talvez se fosse tão bom no inglês como o Nowhere Man (rs) :D ficasse mais fácil. Eu só aprendi algo como skinner por causa do tutorial do Blaw em espanhol. HUDS fiz 4 diferentes de 4 Skins do SUPERMAN do Blaw, só que fica a mesma HUD pras 4 peles diferentes do Superman :( , ai acabei deixando pra lá.

Valeu Nowhere! Vou aguardar, certeza. Na verdade encontrei um brother das antigas em Sampa e descobri que ele ainda adora games baseados em Comics, jogou MUA e pelo visto hoje em dia é programador. Ok, não é gamedesigner, mas com certeza acho que com ele consigo unir forças para começar uns mods. Vou começar por um desejo de nossa molecada aqui, que tem aquele sonho de adolescência perdida de ver personagens próprios de Supers (Gurps) no meio do jogo. Depois dessa acho que, se der tudo certo, tento avançar nos personagens da Marvel.


Percebi que há MUITOS tutoriais sobre cada aspecto de fazer um mod. Estou pensando aqui em começar a compilar essa parada toda em uma apostila mais amigável, já traduzida, organizada...só assim acho que rola de achar rápido a dica para fazer os mods. A procura do forum fica um pouco a desejar às vezes. Sinto falta do sistema Google de procura, onde colocamos 2 verbetes com +, sabe? tipo " Skin+Harpy+new"...pelo visto ele passa reto por esse tipo de procura. Pena.

Olha, com uma apostila em bom português até eu me empenhava em aprender a fazer uns personagens. Na verdade o NM até me deu umas dicas bem legais, mas não consegui ir adiante sozinho.

Meu plano era fazer o Mancha Solar e depois o restantes dos novos mutantes que ainda não foram feitos/convertidos para MUA.

I have no idea why, but the gambit mod is giving me problems. When I select him on the menu his icons appear, but once on the maps they disappear and once he speaks like "you got it" right after no one else or him will speak again only for jump, pain, etc. Could you please help me, btw I'm using a gamepad if it helps and I love all your mods I have all of them installed lol. Also I reinstalled him many times and made sure the herostat part was right.

Ok, first of all, the mod requires a new game cause I edited the skeletons. 2nd I noticed the icons do have a small bug. You gotta hex edit the internal numbers so it won't conflict with other icons made by Deedooo. The others didn't conflict but this one does. I'll probably release an update for that later on, but I trust you know how to do it, being the skilled modder that you are.

As for the sound problem I have no idea really, never had that problem and never heard of a problem like this. Is anyone else having this problem?

They are all awesome, but my favs most be Gambit, Elektra, the caps, and Hawkeye. And thanks for the info. Now I see what the fuzz was about your mods, cause I was always unsure about boosts and breaking the characters but now I see is not that excellent work.

Yes I am, though I'm taking forever to finish. Don't know why, but it's that stuck project of mine. Though I have been making huge progress and I believe it will be ready soon. It's gonna be released by BLaw who, after I'm done, will do his own things (models, icons and so on).


OK, few updates:

- Fixed the 2 bug reports for Gambit;
- Finally released the update for Rogue (was gonna do that some time ago, but wanted to see where her download count would get but I guess 1405 is enough) :P:
     - Made Mist cover the same as my updated Storm boost;
     - Made Torpedo Strike do lots of hits so that the closer and enemy is the more damage he takes;
     - Made the Charging be the same as my Gambit MUA2 mod;
     - Slight update to Magneto's forcefield's effect;
     - Made it so that Iceman's beam hit the target no matter how close you are (it didn't if they were very close as you can see in the preview video;
- Reuploaded the broken loadscreen links as a 3pack;
- Upgraded Colossus' balance boost to a full booster with a new power and other improvements.

Thanks to edward for the bug reports and fox for sending me the missing loadscreens.

By the way, I've been trying out your Gambit MUA2 mod (which is great, by the way), but I noticed that Gambit doesn't seem to use his staff for his attack_light_3 attack. I remember that in Marvel12345's booster, Gambit did use his staff for said attack, so I pasted the entry from his booster for attack_light_3 onto your powerstyle, and it worked!

I'm not sure whether that's intentional or not, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.  :gambit:

Mr. Nowhere Man I have been playing with Gambit for a lot of time and I think that he's great but I believe that I found a bug.In his knockback/popup/stun attack he normally uses his staff,but if you don't have the XML2 pack installed (I installed it recently so I found that out) his grabsmash attack doesn't work,and his melee attacks are without it.....

I just wanted to see how that Cable mod you were working on was coming along.  I know you had said it was taking longer than you intended and of course life often gets in the way but I, for one, am really looking forward to it as Cable is my fave so I thought I could offer you some friendly encouragement.

I was wondering the same thing :P

Well it's OUR mod actually. He did some coding (and most likely still has to finish up things) and I do the visual stuffs. I'm waiting for him to complete his part so I can move on with the models n stuff.

My apologies, Blaw, for not including you in my post.  I was aware that you were taking over once NM is finished with his coding.  I didn't mean to imply that you weren't involved.  The two of you together on this mod is only gonna make it more awesome.

These mods and boosters are quite awesome and I like the Scarlet Witch upgrades.

I have an issue with Phoenix's flying effects, her other new effects were perfectly but neither the tail or the aura version appear when I tried her. Any idea what could be causing this?

I've been having the same problem. The character itself is awesome (thanks to Nowhere Man for releasing it), but the icons don't appear after mapping. I know it's just a small detail, but could anyone explain how to fix this to someone who knows almost nothing about modding (AKA me)?

I've learned how to fix this myself since that post you quoted me saying. If you don't know how to use XMLBCUI, check the Knowledge Base section to get that program, and see the tutorials. (Too much to explain here.) Basically, you go to the "textures" section of your MUA folder, then "ui" and delete the older "gambit_icons" file (you'll know because of the date). The other one should say "gambit_icons1" Rename that one to "gambit_icons."

Then, use XMLBCUI to access Gambit's talents and powerstyles files (located in the "data" folder, then "powerstyles" and "talents". Wherever you see it says "gambit_icons1" change it to "gambit_icons", as I noticed it had both which caused the problem, then save. That should fix it. Hopefully I didn't confuse you. It's not as hard as it may sound. Good luck.

- The ui folder in c:\Program Files\Activision\Marvel - Ultimate Alliance\textures\ does not contain the "gambit_icons" file you mentioned (so I just renamed "gambit_icons1" I extracted from the mod to this folder to "gambit-icons"). It's not "gambit-icons" with a dash, it's "gambit_icons" with an underscore. And it's alright if you don't have Gambit from the XML2 collection. Not a requirement.

The "no mannequin" part is strange. I don't know about the weird letters before the "cansteal" part, it's supposed to start like this:

Ok, delete the weird letters, make sure it starts like above, and save. When saving, make sure it's saved as "ps_gambit.engb." You can throw away the .BAK file. (The ; and {} placements are important. It won't work otherwise. Now if it still doesn't work, mention it here, and I'll create a solution.

The dash in "gambit-icons" was just a typo on my part, I should have re-read my message before posting it, sorry about that.

Regarding the ps_gambit.engb file, I think it's rather XMLBCUI that's causing all the trouble. When trying to decompile any file and clicking "edit", I get the following error: "Cannot find C:\Program files (x86)\Activision\Marvel - Ultimate Alliance\data\powerstyles\ps_gambit.xml. Do you want to create a new file?" (I don't know why the default installation folder on my computer contains "(x86)" in its name)

The weird letters from my previous message appeared when I tried editing without decompiling first, had no other choice since I kept getting this error.

Okey, so I downloaded the files and put them in the designated folders. Still nothing, the icons don't appear after mapping and there is no mannequin on the character select screen, so weird. I'll just play the character without the icons then, no biggie. I do, however, want to thank you for going through the trouble of helping me, know that I appreciate it. :)

I've also managed to make the mannequin appear on the character select screen. So the XML2 one was a requirement after all... interesting. Good to hear everything worked out, and good eye pointing out the error.

I'm trying to install the Iron Man MUA2 mod and can't seem to get it to work.  I had the official characters 1.3 mod installed first, I copy and pasted the herostat into Iron Man's herostat.cfg entry, copied all the files over, and started a new game (after deleting settings.dat).  I've gotten it to work before and know I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't figure out what it is.

Never mind.  I figured out that I just needed to delete Iron Man from heroselect and add him back in as a new character.

Hello, While this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days... I Just have one problem to the Colossus patch that you made!

Whenever i choose him in a team and then playing! when i switch the character to colossus! It mutes other characters sounds!

Can you make a fix to do this? i really am nervous about the mute issue!

I've had the same problem as StormishJustice32 except with Gambit. After switching to him in-game, if I switch to other characters they are muted.
