A Dutch friend of mine told me that there are many Dutch words that resemble English words. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

I understand Dutch when it's written because it's so similar to German :)

When I was in Switzerland, I remember seeing a sign on a bridge that said, "Do not jump from the bridge!" It was written in four languages. I think they were German, English, French and Italian.... Does that sound like the four languages they would have used?
Yeah probably. The fourth official language would be Rumantsch but I guess they used English instead.

You can always count on those languages to be used with everything in Europe. Same with game installations.
Isn't Spanish used as much as the others? Here in the U.S., many directions and ingredients are listed in both English and Spanish?
In the UK ingredients are listed in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.

I understand because my mom is Dutch. (really Dutch. Raised in Holland)
