 :capbrit: Here are two skins for you to use: :capbrit:

HUD DL LINK:  http://www.mediafire.com/?qrt9u0j72cc80ue

Contains New Excalibur and MI13 skins. I will be working on Cap B's classic skin and another variation, maybe Albion, along with HUDs for them and loadscreens.

To hide the shield on the New Excalibur skin, decompile your herostat and add in the hideskin command to the character your skin, then recompile. Should work...
QuoteMultipart {
      hideskin = shield_segment ;
      weaponevent = false ;
      }

I *may* try and create a full mod but right now I'm having difficulty with the power stuff...
Would like the thank DeeDoo for his suggestion of using ps2 models, and to all those responsible for the various tutorials on this board, really appreciate the input and help.

These skins look really cool -- I look forward to trying them.  I don't quite understand the herostat editing.  If you put in the code listed in your first post, does that remove the shield from all the skins for Captain Britain?  I was especially confused since it says "weaponevent=true."  It seems like it should say "false."

Thanks for sharing your skins.

I think he needs to change the code, because the code he has also says showskin.  I think it's supposed to say hideskin, so fox your probably right also about the weaponevent thingy.  He probably needs to change both of those.

Also I like the first skin.  Is that the human torch model?

Gah! Both Fox and 4elementsefww are correct, I have editted my post (sorry, spent FAR too long messing around with herostat, powerstyles and talent files today...). The code now should remove the shield for the New Excalibur skin (since it's a reskin of Ultimate Cap A, and always shows the shield). I should point out, if you use the New Excalibur skin on Cap A, the shield will disappear, but reappear when you use his powers. There is some code to change within the powerstyles/talents, I'll post this for anyone who would like it.

4elementsefww, yes it is the Human Torch, his costume resembled Brian's most recent costume :)

Thanks for the comments and for pointing out the errors in my code.

Lol I know what you mean.  when you are looking at all the codes for a long time, you begin to bypass stuff accidentally.  It happens to me all the time.  Usually it happens to me when I do the powerstyle, which is like the most important yet worst/annoying part in my opinion when it comes to modding.

Thanks guys! I've reuploaded the skins, since a member said it had expired. I've also added in HUDs for them.

I want to make more skins for Cap but I'm unable to currently find Quicksilver's model in the XML2 ps2 pack (ironically I've found the offsets for him -_-) since they would require an asymmetrical torso. If anyone knows where I could get a hold of it, or if there's another suitable model to use, I'd appreciate it. I'm using the Human Torch right now and whilst it looks great, it doesn't look right without the lion on the chest!

This...this would explain A LOT! Ah man, I remember how difficult it was to mod my last PC model...here goes nothing.
Thanks DeeDooo

I found an old skin haha, so I've added it to the first post, and made a HUD to accompany it.

I know, Mr Blaw has already done it :)
