THE MARVEL MODS TEAM TOURNAMENT:This is a tournament to be play with the same team through the Hard mode of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.Can you do it and defeat the Master's of Evil? We shall see!
PLEASE READ RULES BEFORE PARTICIPATING!! ( rules maybe subject to change):
GETTING STARTED: 1 team, Hard Level, Use Default Statistics
WHO CAN I PLAY AS?: Any MUA Character or Mods you want,
AS LONG AS NO ONE IS USING THEM. See the most updated version of the standings (more info on that below) to determine if the characters you want to play with is currently "active." With somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 characters available from MUA, the official characters pack, the XML2 Pack, and our other awesome Marvel Mods, you should have plenty of heroes (or villains!) to choose from.
REDISTRIBUTING SKILL POINTS: You may redistribute the Default skill points in any way you wish before you begin the game.
COSTUMES: You may use any of your character's costumes, invest in costume passives for multiple skins, and switch costumes as often as you like.
DEATH IS NOT FINAL: If you die,
AT LEAST 2 characters must be alive.If you have less than 2 you must start over on a new run through the game. You can do this with the same team you died with, or choose a new team. You may re-enter as many times as you wish.If only 1 or 2 of your teamates die you
MUST wait until there revived to go any further.
WINNING: The tournament ends when no one has posted a progress update in this thread for at least 2 weeks. The winner will be the player who has gone the farthest through the game with the same team. If there is a tie (such as two teams finishing the game), the winner will be the one who completed it in the shortest amount of in-game time, as displayed on the save/load screen.
POSTING YOUR PROGRESS: As you make significant progress in your quest against Doom, such as defeating a boss or entering a new act, you MUST post a picture of your runthrough at least after each act or every 3 to 4 levels

First I need to clarify two things.
1. Are you saying that if just one of the characters dies, you have to stop right there where you are in the game for the 5 minutes it takes to revive them and then continue (no fighting with the other three, even if you're in big battle)?
2. So the only way a player has to start over completely is if 3 characters were to die before the first one of the three has revived?

1.Yes if anyone one your team dies you must wait the 5 minutes and revive them then procede.But, if you only have 1 character left then you have to start all over.
2.Kind of. if you were to start fighting scorpion and all of your characters died except for Silver Surfer you would have to start a new game.If you only had 2 characters like Johnny and Captain Marvel that died then you dont have to start over but you MUST revive them as soon as possible before proceeding into the game

Emma Frost (whiteking), Elixer Nightcrawler (with nowhereman fixes :D) and Rogue (with Nowhereman booster)
The first two kinda serve as healers (emma's boost, elixers light form) and Nightcrawler and Rogue serve to K!CK some ass!
Im going to start later on, City of Heroes is currently reparing, and when its done, (hopefully) everything should work ok, so im first gonna play City of heroes (hope we can all relate to that xD)
If it's ok, I'd like to try this :) Can we choose the same character that someone else ahs chosen if its a different boost or mod?
@SuperNatural-Witch sorry you can't use psylocke or ms marvel cause Nowhereman is using him. :/

THis is how it's gonna be difficult which is why you should reserve character's now :D

I'm curious to know who all is in the tournament so far?
A funny thing happened to me in the hellicarrier at one point. I entered a new level and was playing as Human Torch. Angel gets this bright idea to rush down the stairs and gets "stuck" in a corner in some fire. I kept hearing his groans and noticed his icon was turning red. I quickly switched over to Angel and flew him out of the fire, saving him from his fiery death! Nothing like that has ever happened to me before.
Angel was always a bright X-men xD
Im going to start today, only need to add Elixer to my roster and then probally die xD

Currently defeated Bullseye and I have to say, that Whitekings emma is extremly helpfull, does the team get low health? Queen´s blessing, Hard enemy? Shockwave em to death or turn into diamond form? Bunch of enemies? Control some or use some radials, amazing :D

Just got to stage 2, only one death so far: Ms. Marvel got killed in two hits by two enhanced dmg shaolin monks that attacked her at the same time. Not sure we were supposed to complete all optional quests, but I'm doing that.
Funny thing is that I always play using only one character and am finding it very weird to have a team. They get in the way more often than help, but it's nice to be able to switch during gameplay.

just got to asgard. funny thing is I discovered that 3 characters glitch in mephisto's realm. Jean simply won't work if you choose to save nightcrawler. nightcrawler with my upgrade and dihan's psylocke work fine till the fight against blackheart but the game crashes while loading the next area after defeating him. I think the reason is that they both have two idle entries, cause it's the only thing they have in common, so that makes sense to me.
anyway, had to fight Mephisto without Psylocke, so good for me, I only used the other 3 and won easily :D.
2 deaths on stage 2, both cause of suicidal AI while I was using another character. Dr Strange jumped in one of those pits in the maze of death and psylocke jumped out of the map in mephisto's realm. Stupid AI.
EDIT: ok, discovered that NC and Jean won't work in mephisto cause of the story really, nothing else. Psylocke is different cause she can't break free of demon leapers. I'm not sure why. Looking into it right now, so far no progress. Any ideas?

i was using rockslide sprint attack to get through the oustide faster everyone kept up apart from cyclops who decided to commit suicide by jumping down (propably landed head first on Empire state blding)

Stage 4 had Thor die against Gladiator and AI Thor against Warstar&Starbolt. AI Psylocke jumped from the edge once more as well. Stage 5 had no deaths at all.
Overall AI killed itself 4 times and I myself got killed 2: Ms. Marvel against 2 Enhanced DMG Shaolin Monks and Thor against Gladiator. Never have 2 characters died.
My MVP is definitely Dr Strange, whose dark magic is awesome against large foes that can't get tripped or popped up and foes that have healing or increased genetics, whose pixie is great against bosses, who can heal the team and whose levitation can throw foes from edges.
And it's over. I completed all sidequests as well. My characters are at lvl 42 except Thor who's at lvl 43. Took me 13:09hrs.

I'm with fox I would like to start again now that my MUA is updated with new mods, boosters and more stuff lol :)
Thought I would brainstorm some ideas for a new tournament:
1. Each person who is going to participate nominates one character (not a specific skin or booster) to be in the game.
2. Each player then creates a new game with a roster consisting of all and only those characters nominated.
3. As you play the game, you must have 2 (no more, no less) characters on your team. If one dies, then you must retreat or portal back to headquarters. If retreating or portaling is not possible, then the player can fight or move ahead. But, as soon as possible, he must return to headquarters to pick up a second character.
4. Once a character has died, the player can NEVER use that character again. So, if one character dies and then the second one dies before the player can return to headquarters, both of those characters can NEVER be used again. Replaying from a checkpoint is not allowed.
5. If the player ever gets down to only one remaining character, he is out of the tournament.
6. First person to complete the game (or make it the farthest) is the winner.
Those are some ideas. What ideas do you guys have that will make this a good tournament that players would enjoy?
OK so... how many characters will be on the final list of characters that were nominated by us? and when we have that "final" list we can pick 2 characters from there right? it doesn't matter if someone else is using the same character?
Then we have our couple on the game, if one of them dies, we return to headquarters and pick another character from the list, and the dead character can't be used again right?

The number would be equal to the number of players we get (up to 27!) If necessary, we could each nominate two characters, ranking them our Number 1 Choice and our Number 2 Choice. Then, if we don't need our Number 2 choices, we won't use them in the final roster.

Let's say we end up with 7 characters in our total roster. I you end up killing off six of them, you are out of the tournament because you cannot continue with only one character.

The way the tournament is set up right now is that you would only get to play with both of those characters if you nominate one of them and someone else nominates the other one. BUT, we can make changes to the rules. We can make things harder or easier. Just make your ideas known if you are interested.
Great Idea so maybe we can choose 6 nominees & we can use THEM ONLY THEM in teams & when another char dies & Progress must be submitted at least every week

I got the impression that venom64 wanted to "host" the new tournament. You and he can decide. Does anyone else want to make any adjustments to the rules? One thing we'll need to decide is are we going to just nominate one character or two. I think we should just nominate one for now and see how many people intend to play. We can give a few days (maybe until after Thanksgiving) to get an idea.
