So LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has been announced, and I know I couldn't be more excited. I am a huge fan of the LEGO games and have always wanted them to make a Marvel one.

The game is said to 'complement' the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes toy range, which combines characters and vehicles from the rich Marvel universe. So far they have released eight sets, featuring Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the X-Men. The game will have an original storyline with Nick Fury enlisting the help of Iron man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes from across the Marvel Universe – you guessed it – to save Earth from Loki and Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.

"We're very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes," said Tom Stone, TT Games' Managing Director. "Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe."

"Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we're addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game," said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment.  "If you're a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you."

There will be over 100 characters to unlock, including Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki and even Galactus. Expect the trademark gameplay of fun action, puzzle-solving, and of course endless collectibles.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS and DS this autumn.

Nick Fury
Galactus
Thor
Captain America
Iron Man
Spiderman
Wolverine
Deadpool
Black Widow
Hulk
Loki
Hawkeye
Magneto

Ironman's head looks sorta big, and black widow doesn't have orange hair -_- but other then that, it looks pretty sweet, Hulk looks awesome

On an off-topic note, the related videos showed a trailer for Pokemon X and Y, dang, that looks awesome

I agree that's one of the things I hate about all the Iron Man lego stuff is that his head is always huge on his body.

I'm not really a big Pokemon fan at all, I watched it when it was the original series and did alittle with it here and there but thats about it. I kind of hate all the game titles they seem very unoriginal although I'm sure they have something to do with the game itself, it just bugs me how its like Gold and Silver, Black and White, X and Y. And they always seem a bit the same to me. But of course I have never really played any of them except the old gameboy ones so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about haha.

Neither do I have 3 games for my 3DS. I have been waiting for them to do this since the first lego star wars came out, but I thought that some other company owned marvel for lego type toys or at least some of the marvel heroes and that's why they couldn't do it, but I really have no idea.

What a day! There are always great news and news about something, that makes you say, "Oh, man, enough!".

This one is great news, because I've been dreaming about this since Lego Star Wars (BTW, based on the picture, everyone who was in the Avengers movie will have their looks based on that, while others feel like the comic book version. Screw logic).

What's the news that bothers me and makes me wanna cry in a corner. Pokémon X/Y. New Poké game? Yay! On 3DS? Good for them! Generation VI? How many times can they find a new region and hundreds of new Pokémon? I mean, it's getting really strange now (Nobody ever left their region for another and came back with Pokémon from that region? How does this work? Every piece of media focuses only on their own region? No world map? No logic in these, that's for sure)

Now that my off-topicness is out of the way: Another Marvel game I really look forward to :D So, when will they announce X-Men Legends III and/or Marvel: Ultimate Alliance III made by Raven Software? :D

I would jump for joy if XML3 or MUA3 was announced. And I believe the lego sets released were for the avengers movie which is why I believe they are using those costumes, I hope they have some extra costumes or something included. I guess we could think of it as a Marvel movie crossover or something haha.

I am really excited about this game!! :D Ive played Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, but I wont be able to play this one cuz I dont have Shader Model 3 ( the same happend with Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 and Lego Batman 2 ) So basically I wasted my money on the last two T_T But il keep them for when I get a new computer :P xD
Im sure Emma and Jean will be playable since in HP 1-4 there are alot of playables and what ive seen from videos of the second Lego HP and Batman 2 there are alot of characters there too. About 150+ ( i think ) playables per Lego Game :P

They did say over 100 playable so anything could happen. I hope they put in the Fantastic Four since Galactus is in it aswell, but who knows they don't ever really show up in anything, for what ever the reason, so hopefully they get to be involved.

Well, the articles I read talked about the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy....Which means we will see a lot of characters from these groups and their enemies as well, most likely :D I'm so hyped, can't wait! :D

This is because the rights to Marvel franchises are all over the place. Fantastic Four is currently licensed to 20th Century Fox rather than to Marvel Studios. I think they're trying to reclaim the rights to everything though.

That's what I thought it was but everything with it gets confusing, so I usually forgot about it.

http://www.officialnintendomagazine....ions-and-more/

Lego Marvel Super Heroes will take you on a tour around New York as you swing around the city as Spider-Man, exploring famous locations such as Stark Tower, Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty in a story written by Marvel Super Hero Squad writer Mark Hoffmeier that promises to build on the themes of the Avengers film.

That's the word from the latest edition of Game Informer magazine which has the scoop on one of this year's big Lego games.

Of course Spider-Man wasn't in the Avengers movie but he'll be represented in Lego Marvel Super Heroes, using his webs to stick to surfaces, tie up enemies, pull objects and swing. He also has his spider sense.

He'll be joined by many characters from the Marvel universe including the stars of the Avengers Assemble movie Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Loki. Game Informer also speculates that The Thing, Juggernaut, The Green Goblin and Magneto will be in the game based on what they've seen but that has yet to be confirmed.

In addition to Spider-Man, we also learn about some of the other character's special moves. Captain America can swing his shield at enemies, use it to complete electronic circuits and even throw it into special indentations in the walls to use it as a platform to reach higher levels.

Meanwhile Tony Stark can can hack computers and electronic devices, including a radio-controlled helicopter.

Mark Hoffmeier's story finds Loki - the brother of Thor - imprisoned. He wants to return to Asgard and asks a Marvel villain (whose identity is currently unknown) to help him. In other news, Galactus, a character who devours planets, is heading to Earth.

New York is the hub in a game that apparently features an unprecedented amount of destruction. You'll have to help reconstruct the city visiting the aforementioned Stark Tower, Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty, plus Grand Central Station, OsCorp Tower and The Raft, Marvel's equivalent of Arkham Asylum.

EDIT: Also I think it is safe to assume that all existing minifigures will be included such as Iron Fist, Doctor Doom, Beetle, Phoenix, etc.

Thanks for all the info Marvelfan! I am pretty sure Magneto will be in the game like the info said since he was in the gameplay trailer. And since it said 100 playable I sure hope we can be expecting all the minifigures aswell it would be nice to be Jean in lego form haha.

The only thing I wonder, is that if by 100 characters it means heroes and villains, or more then that because I know if the other lego games you unlock people that don't really matter like in the batman games you unlock villains goons and helpers, and I do love extra costumes but those always count as characters too, so hopefully by 100 they mean 100 different heroes and villains or what ever and not heroes, villains, costumes, and everything else.

shoot fire out of his eyes (human torch cyclops combined) shoot webs, turn into hulk, and instead of dieing he stays but only his skeleton will show, a Adamantium skeleton. I'm looking forward to playing this.

For some reason I am really excited that you can play as H.E.R.B.I.E. haha. Stan Lee looks like a really fun character to play as, I am glad they put him in.

Edit: I also really like how they added the Transformation for Green Goblin, it's really unique!

Nice features and large rosters is what causing us to be addicted with it. :D

Deadpool is in it :3 Wonder who's gonna voice Deadpool..

BTW, Nolan North will voice DPool again :D Which reminds me, one of the voice options in Saints Row IV is also Nolan North. Hard choice between him and Troy Baker for me in that game (but I'll go with Kanji anyway....)

Also, am I the only one who misses John Kassir. Not that Nolan is not good as Deadpool, he is great, but John is my favourite voice for the guy

Yeah, I miss John Kassir too, he's the one that makes Deadpool sounds insane, while Nolan North makes Deadpool sounds funny :D

I'm wondering there's no gameplay video for Jean Grey, Storm, and Invisible Woman, my favorite characters :( Altough they're confirmed to be the playable characters..

Yeah she's (Phoenix) an alternative minifigure to the normal Jean Grey.
Like in previous LEGO games, some characters have alternative looks.
But who knows, Phoenix might be a separate minifigure, or at least I hope cuz I want Phoenix powers and Phoenix Raptor Flight. xD

Emma Frost playable in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

Via www.EmmaFrostFiles.com

By popular demand, EMMA FROST has been added to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes as a playable character!

At the Eurogamer Expo, a Telltale Games developer said Emma Frost has not been announced yet, but she was a character that people "really, really wanted."

She comes with diamond form — which probably has not been rendered in the video yet. The developer said her diamond form allows her to deflect laser beams and fires and such.

Haha, fans get stuff done, I like the roster I'm seeing so far, Mystique, Super Skrull (I assume) Carnage, and even a Sentinel :o

I'm very excited they finally put her in, I was wondering if it was ever going to happen and I am glad it did. What costume does she have on? Sorry if it is clearly visible, my laptop screen isn't the best. Is it her White Queen costume, or her costume from Astonishing X-Men or some other one?

I like the roster as well!

i believe they censored some parts of her costume (Like they did with Black Canary & Poison Ivy in batman 2), since the game is for kids etc.

I'm going to test out the demo when I get on my main computer, I've wanting to try it for awhile but our internet has been out for almost a week. There is an xbox demo, but the only way to play it is if you are a gold member, which is really lame but oh well.

Yeah I am going to try and play co-op, unfortunately I need to buy another controller because the 2nd one I have is messed up and takes control sometimes and runs you into things or moves the camera. I saw the free roaming on YouTube which looks pretty awesome, can you play the missions with characters of your choosing like you can in the other Lego games after you beat the mission or did they take that out in place of free roaming?

u will be able to choose ur character freely after beating the chapter once.
in free play mode u can change ur character any time u like,

Well I finished the campaign and I am now doing the bonus missions, and unlocking characters.

Has anyone figured out how to unlock Phoenix yet? I have noticed that not all the characters are on the map so like some of the others I believe you get them in the bonus missions. I am also looking for Emma, but since she isn't on the map I assume she is in a bonus level?

I am also upset that Storm can only hover, it doesn't make sense.

Edit: Well I watched a video that showed where Emma was. I am a little upset with her character too because they didn't give her any physic abilities.

I unlocked Emma via the Professor X Free Roam side-missions things. I'm disappointed with her, sure she can mind control and turn into diamond form, but I was expecting some psychic attacks, like Professor X's white psychic burst attacks that he has. :(

Also How to Unlock Phoenix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg2JinwSngY
It's an extra Deadpool level which you unlock by getting a certain amount of Gold Bricks.
I don't have Phoenix yet though.

And yeah, Jean and Storm being able to only hover and not fly kinda sucks. :(

Here's Phoenix in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbIVaLCBoLw

Thank you for the videos!

Yeah I don't understand the reasoning behind Emma's character. I also don't like how Invisible Woman and Jean feel like the same character, they couldn't even make her colors blue. I feel like her invisible power should have been like Black Widow's clocking power. I kind of understand why Jean only hovers, in the 90's cartoon I believe she can only hover also, but the Phoenix can fly, but making Storm only hover is dumb.

I told ya. wasp can fly... wizard can fly...
i dont see a reason why storm cant...
its like my friends that got disappointed with iceman's ice slide..

when i saw emma frost, i tought they made her like she is in marvel now, (only transform in diamond)
but she has NPC's mind control..
I wish her attacks was like Professor X's.
Get Mastermind and u ill see that emma is not that worse =(

Yeah, I was excited to play as Invisible Woman, and then what happened - she's the same as Jean Grey without mind control, hovering and only adding in a cheap invisibility power. I mean the least they could have done is made her powers blue in color.

So far I'm pretty pleased with the game, the fact that Captain America has to throw his shield when he attacks is sorta stupid, and its kinda odd that when Mr Fantastic transforms into an usefull object, he gains the abillity to fly (should've thought that more trough), but it looks really good right now, guess that'll kinda go away when I get to the least popular characters xD

Also, not trying to defend the game or anything, but do keep in mind Emma was a bit of a last-minute addition, because she had a lot of fans

Well yeah you do have a point about Emma, but still I feel like it wouldn't have been that difficult to add a mental bolt or beam power to Emma.
And how would they explain Invisible Woman?
I mean they couldn't even give her a power paint job. XD

But anyway, I'm really enjoying the game, and I also read that it did really good with critic reviews. One critic site said it's the best thing since 2006's Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I actually have to agree with this, I was very excited for GTA V, but I never really play it and don't find it all that interesting, but I love Lego Marvel it is so much fun!

And I totally agree with the whole Sue thing, she at least deserves blue powers. And I actually like that Cap throws his shield around because he hits a ton more stuff when he does that it seems.

I haven't used any of the vehicles as of yet, except the normal cars driving around. It's like Grand Theft Lego. I totally suck at the flying challenges tho, the other person always beats me.

So I read that the Asgard pack of characters was actually a pre-order bonus and not DLC, so I hope it gets released to everyone eventually. And I also looked through the wiki and found that the 3DS version of the game has several other costumes and some characters the regular game does not for example:

Wolverine Days of Future Past, Storm (White Suit), Miles (Ultimate Spiderman), Spiderman 2099, Norman Osborn, Nick Fury (Comics), Mystique House of M, Modern Magneto, Juggernaut (Kuurth), Classic Marvel Girl, Ultimate Human Torch, Gray Hulk, Howard Stark, Captain America WW2, Captain Steve Rogers, Classic Black Widow, Astonishing Beast, Doctor Doom 2099, Green Goblin (Demogoblin), Hulk Minifig, Iron Man Mark 39, Scarlet Spider, Tony Stark (Suit), Wolverine X-Force

Why is Billy gonna be playable?! Not that I don't like it, I'm happy about it xD But I thought this was based around the MCU Avengers. (Young Avengers haven't appeared in the MCU yet... :O What if this is a sign, and Marvel is planning a Young Avengers movie! :O)

I believe they will be including other non movie characters as well to increase the character number, other wise it would be a little bland. As much as I would love to see some non Avenger characters, I doubt that will happen.

There is no way to mod Lego Marvel Superheroes inserting Marvel Ultimate Alliance characters and realistic cars (non-lego look-a-like) ?
it would be great....I'd really like a Marvel Open world game like this Lego Marvel...but with real MCU characters!!
