Title: PSP "Platinum Edition" mod
Post by: Teancum on January 28, 2014, 05:04PM
Well, considering there's a ton more potential here than on the 360, AND I can run MUAPSP via an emulator on my Android TV stick computer I'm shifting gears and seeing what I can do here. What I'll be working on will be known as the Platinum Edition mod for the PSP and PSP emulators.

So I finished several more 5th and 6th skin sets. I noticed, though, that a few of em' cause lockups when exiting the character select screen. I can't seem to pinpoint it at the moment. My priority is getting these in and all working, then moving passives over to the main powerset. After that comes the daunting task of manually building the sound files.

**note to self: check blade skins, spider-man skins to see if I hex edited the correct numbers in. Could be causing issue? (doesn't on other platforms)

Is it possible to have :colossus: instead of :hulk_icon:? If not, could you make that?

It pretty much was finished, I just was going to add more features. I haven't touched it in years, though, and don't even have the files any more. If you're looking to compile a great PSP mod, check the link below

I didnt know the PS2 models could be used on PSP. Wouldn't that severely slow down the game?

Nope. The only difference between the two is the texture resolution, which is still pretty low on the PS2. As long as it's only the heroes using PS2 models it's usually fine.

Ok cool. It may be a while before I can put out something of merit, but It cant hurt to give it a shot. Thanks guys!

actors (mostly on characters & likely the map), huds (character's hud only), & models (like effect & weapon models) including ui/models/mannequins are the most example to be used for PSP version.

Additionally, there has been a confirmation when Julio & i testing Hulk mesh, set in PS2 IGB format for PSP gameplay, since the 3DSMax 4 - 5.1 Alchemy script has both PC & PS2 settings to export to IGB, a custom PS2 setting mesh still won't work on PSP version.

I dunno if it may work on original PS2 itself, also dunno if the model error is likely because of not recontrast the texture size into a same size as PS2 ver. (256x256), or even after resizing the texture size is still error
