Nightcrawler is much better, since Jean will return anyway with a "vengeance"as the Dark Phoenix. I'd always go with NC. He's way cooler than Jean. And if you save the Phoenix, then Nightcrawler wouldn't return. And I would not like the good Prof to die, and the X-Men be disbanded. Anyway, Wolverine can still kill Phoenix like he did in X3.
I agree with Midnight Curse. I like Jean Grey but to see her return as Dark Phoenix than I would rather rescue NC.
I figured it was my turn to take her out, since she has been killed off how many times now? *loses count* :rofl:

At the end, if you saved Jean, then Mystique kills the Prof. By his grave, you can see several X-Men. Why is Nightcrawler amongst one of them?

I would save Jean grey just because I have Nightcrawler for the 360 so I'd rather just save Jean. If I didn't have the Gold Edition then I'd probably save Nightcrawler, just because he can teleport and is mad kool.

That statement is true. Jean will be pissed at the Prof if you save Nightcrawler, and if vice versa, Mystique will kill him.

But on a serious note, Nightcrawler would be my choice everytime, and ya Jean can come back and yes, Wolverine can stab her again like in the movie lol.
I prefer Nightcrawler to Jean Grey, but the fact is when I finished the game and heard Mystique had killed Professor X, I said aloud "SWEET!"

i killed NC, but ONLY b/c i like NC, lol. I chose to kill night crawler becuz he told me to kill him :)...haha :confused:

Before you go to Mephisto's Realm you can talk to Xavier. He then says that Nightcrawler has recently lost his powers and can no longer teleport at all.

At least with the fuzzy dude there's no shot of the professors grave and the X-Men's future is uncertain rather than 'doomed' thanks to Mystique :P

The phoenix has sought revenge a million times - and Scott always sickeningly saves her :P

But in Valhalla, Widow says Scott has gone missing.
And uncertain? Uatu clearly states that the X~Men will disband...forever...
Plus her tap into the Phoenix Force is almost unlimited and used all the time, unlike regular Jean and the mental cages X put in her mind.
Yup I would have to say save Jean. Dark Phoenix can be too dangerous and deadly to handle, especially the solar system destruction thingy she likes to do. Also, Professor X has come back from no where before (as did Jean, but when she does it sometimes doesn't happen in such a nice way.)
Nah save Nightcrawler. Jean attacked me twice in the game and killed my favorite Doctor Strange. I had no sympathy for her wwhen it cam to choosing. Plus I felt obligated to save Nightcrawler after that cool FMV footage 'Escape from the castle' Nightcrawler ROCKS. I prefer Jean as a playable character than Nightcrawler though but she angered me in this game with her puny 'psychic spike attack' so Cawler it is.
Nightcrawler :nightcrawler: is one of my fav characters ever and I am actually in love (hey everyone has his taste) with him so very easy choice.
Besides how many times has Jean Grey died and got back?
She always finds a way to crawl her way out of the grave and if not isn't Madelyne prior still around?

I chosed Jean even though I kinda like Nightcrawler, cuz if you save Nighty, he's angry with you for life(deffenetly don't want that), but Jean, she almost acts like it was the right thing to do... That's my logical expl...
Saved Jean.
Because:
1) She's one of my favorites, can't help it.
2) In the Marvel Universe Jeans powers are much more useful than Kurts when there's a giant cosmic threat.
3) If Wolverine is on my team, it's just weird to pick Nightcrawler and let Jean die.
Nightcrawler, i prefer him because hes cool.
Jean Grey, because she's hot! (in the movies she is at least). Also she's an omega-mutant, so in the end she should be stronger (if you don't take the game into account).
Ingame i couldn't decide, though i went for jean the first time, and now going for nightcrawler. Nightcrawler is very fun to play with, but jean's telepathy-power is just kick ass..
I saved Nightcrawler :nightcrawler: as it makes to me more sense if Phoenix :phoenix: defeats Mephisto than if Nightcrawler does, and as Jean will return anyway...
I choose Nightcrawler 'cuz that future is counter-actable. If the heroes kill Mystique before she does any damage, then thats better (I think)
The poll should have the option of both added since with Dark Marks new Magneto you can save both :D
I would rather save both of them cuz they both are my favorite but i would save Jean Grey because if u dont save her she turn into dark phoenix and kills everybody. :storm:
I usually use Magneto and he frees them both; the ending will be the same as if you had chosen a specific character, though. But all in all, I save Nightcrawler, simply because when Jean goes all Phoenix Style I have hope The Living Tribunal will act and cease her existence. Hell, you do not need to go that far: Pre-Retcon Beyonder and Molecule Man would do the job.
Story-wise, I guess I'd save Nightcrawler because Jean Grey will come back to the world of the living as the Phoenix so that means --- she's back :D
I always save :phoenix: instead of :nightcrawler:, even though it makes sense to do vice versa since she always comes back. I guess because I'm too much of a gentleman to let a woman die.
I Always save Nightcrawler not just because the ending gets a little better but because i dont like Jean Grey at all.
In the PC game i take the third option and i bring Magneto with me.

He's always been one of my fav X-Men and he's a total blast to play as in the games.
Meanwhile Jean on the other hand might be more aesthetically pleasing, but I've always pictured her as just being a walking plot device.
