Loading save games online?

Hey, everyone! I've got a question for you:

My friend and I are both using identical herostat.cfg files, and our hero selects are also identical. When we go to play online, it works, but desynchronizes after a while. When we try to load from a saved game, that desynchronizes instantly. We use Hamachi to facilitate our connection since we can't find each other otherwise. Does anyone know how to fix this?
