I just recently followed every step to getting 36R to work and can confidently say I've done everything correctly though I am new to this however it seems Dr Doom is missing one green light ball when he flys in his right hand (his perspective) I've triple checked his herostat within the .engb to make sure I haven't mispasted some code or made an error in formation but everything seems fine and Dr Doom has both green lights when flying for me on 27 Roster Heroselect. Would anyone know whats going on? anyone else having this issue? thanks.

I make the secret code open all powers and then everything works correctly. I don't have a logical answer to that, but it works for me. Do the test. This code must be entered on the character selection screen.

I just checked this problem and :doom: Dr. Doom has both lights glowing as he flies. This was without the "unlock all powers" code that Anderson mentioned.

Anderson, could you see if both of Doom's hands are glowing when he flies -- without the code? I'm trying to figure out what's happening, but once again, it looks like the 36R is not the cause of this problem.

Tried the unlock all powers cheat and it didn't get fixed but maybe its because I've misinterpreted your Read it.txt file. (1) You say to add

 stats {
   autospend = support ;
   isteam = true ;
   name = team_character ;
   skin = 0002 ;
   xpexempt = true ;
   }

but theres already that bunch of code in the herostat.engb? do I delete the one in the herostat and paste yours in? (2) also you say to add defaultman as the last entry and would that mean I input it below the team_character thing or below all the characters? (also I'm gonna assume its all within XMLB characters parentheses right?) (3) also what do you mean by overwrite your games previous herostat? I'm not sure how to interpret that do you mean as in just the usual decompile/recompile procedure?

Anderson, could you see if both of Doom's hands are glowing when he flies -- without the code? I'm trying to figure out what's happening, but once again, it looks like the 36R is not the cause of this problem.



For me Dr Doom is working perfectly. It may be an isolated fact, what is happening to you, CarnageLikesRed. You need to keep investigating your herostat at first.

@Carnage - Is there anyone ahead of Doom in your herostat that also has the glowing hands, perhaps such as Green Lantern?  I have found when you have two characters with the same effect, the effect can conflict.  For example, if I have Killer Frost and Iceman both on the roster, whichever one is first in the list gets the chill effect, and whoever is second doesn't have it.

I would like to recommend all of you to use the herostat from REUO patch to fix everything up. Some might need few edits there.

You'll have to look at the powerstyle.engb of green lantern. if they share the same effects file , i can see conflict.

Or, likely the effects file is missing or overwritten...

I'm guessing it's because of the character number being drastically different, but it looks like iammingy's old Settings.dat file (that starts the game with everything unlocked) doesn't work with this mod.

A second thing I just found out, it seems like while the Sepulchre fix works great, everyone's working just fine there, something still causes issues with the Stygian Abyss section (the actual Mephisto bossfight level). With one combination of characters (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman) only the last character had powers and only some of them worked, while with another combination (Batman, Ghost Rider, Stan Lee) the game just sat on the loading screen and then froze.

My hunch is this is due to the 117 fightmove limit that still exists?

That would be my hypothesis. The 36R doesn't fix that, for that's a separate anomaly in the game's memory. I predict that limit is the cause of the problems being reported here thus far.

So, what would be the way to minimize the whole fightmove problem, assuming that's what's going on? Should I use mostly official characters/limit the number of modded characters? This feels like whack-a-mole to me in terms of when I find one character with issues and think it's gone, another pops up.

OK, at this point, you have two options: (1) You can do a process of elimination by getting rid of the last things you downloaded. If the 36R is the last thing you installed, then just get rid of it -- maybe it's just not working out for you. Then play the game and see if you still have this strange whirlwind of issues. (Note: If you have my Spider-Man booster, then the web bullets issue could be because you're not pushing a button afterward. He has elemental web bullets as well.) If you still have these issues, then get rid of the previous thing that you've installed and keep going.

The other option you can do is (2) Do a clean install of your game. Since the random wave of problems seem to be exclusive to your computer/game, I would just start anew. I wish I knew why your game is doing such things, and honestly I feel sorry for you, but since we can't determine the problem, your best bet is to just start off fresh.

The Stygian Abyss... it may be worth looking into. When I get a chance, I will try out the exact same thing you did and see if my game does the same.

Now wait a minute!!!!!!!!

This changes everything! But now I can't decide the other 3! Well I can for one but... hmmmmm, Wanda does have 3 children, but I've only read one in a version that can go in this game. Is it finally Jubilee's turn? GASP! Maybe I'll finally give a couple teams their 4th member, especially since I've read Magik now! Which means I can now have full Generation X teams AND full New Mutants teams! Maybe I'll make a bonus for that?

Sick work guys! and with such a quick improvement between now and the last one, I feel like 39 is around the corner (not expecting or demanding though). There should really be channel to show off these modding achievements, at least an online one!

Good News: ...yet. I refuse to live in a world without one. I'm taking goodies from her mom and her dad's powersets and maybe a few others for her possession skills and making one. I already have the skins too so I'm good.
