Ever since I was a kid and played these games over 15 years ago I've dreamed of experiencing them from a third person perspective.
Having discovered this community and the insane amount of mods, it inspired me to actually take this into my own hands and do just that.

Below you will find details about all released third person mods and the links to each one of them, hopefully you will enjoy these games again through a completely new perspective as I did:

X-Men Legends
Given the first X-Men Legends never received a PC port, this mod was made for the XBOX version of the game running on the emulator XEMU, this version was picked because it has significantly better sound, textures, models and leeway in terms of what it can handle before breaking compared to the Gamecube and PS2 versions. All things that work in favor of what I wanted to achieve here.

Features:
◆ Third Person Camera:  As with my MUA 3rd person mod, you can fully control the camera as you would in any action/adventure 3rd person game.
The game was initially developed with this camera angle and I personally found it still works very well with it as the levels are surprisingly vertical and experiencing them this way added to the immersion quite a bit in my test playthrough.
◆ Extra Character: Angel was restored as an additional playable character and NPC by @andy🌻, who did tremendous work on also restoring dialogue, icons, loading screen, comic and even the danger room challenge.
◆ 7 Skins/Character: The skins selected were specifically mostly skins that are not in XML2 and will not be included in the upcoming Ultimate Patch.
This was to give them a chance in the spotlight and avoid redundancy (which would be a shame considering the sheer number of beautiful high-quality alternative skins made by the community that lay buried or forgotten).
◆ Unlockable costumes: A part of the Unlockables mod by Teancum was included. Specifically the option that allows you to unlock all costumes from the start through a button in the menu.
◆ Max Level Cheat: XML can be a surprisingly tough game compared to MUA, and it doesn't have a difficulty setting nor a game+ mode.
So I decided to include a hotkey that instantly boosts all characters to Lv.45 upon gaining experience.
This is completely optional and is meant to incentivize replays or function as a sort of "easy mode", it can be activated at any point. Even with all the skill points you won't be able to max-out all stats/powers. So you still need to make strategic choices while building your characters the same way.
◆ Reshade Preset: Once again I spent significant time making a preset that enhances the visuals of the game while preserving and working with it's artistic style and identity.
◆ Removed selection circles: The big bulky selection rings around the characters have been removed (mod by @UltraMegaMagnus) to improve the visual appeal of the 3rd person perspective.
◆ Co-Op: 2 player co-op was tested and it seemed to work pretty well. 3-4 player should also work but wasn't tested.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Features:
● 3rd Person Camera: You can now get up and personal with the characters and environments and experience MUA in a whole new way. You can fully control the camera as you would in any other third-person games.
● Removed scripted camera sequences: Most of the levels and sequences where the game locks the camera in a certain perspective have been changed to allow you to play through them freely through the new third person perspective.
● Skyboxes: Unique custom made skyboxes have been added to most exterior levels to accommodate and improve the third person experience.
● Improved Lightning: Global lightning has been tweaked across some levels to complement the skyboxes and enhance the overall atmosphere.
● 4K: You can now run the game at an internal resolution of 2160p even if your screen isn't UHD. This will improve the accuracy of several features such as shadows and post-processing effects.
● Reshade: It was previously not possible to run reshade in 4K because it shares the same .dll as dgvoodoo. Now it is. Included is also a specifically made preset to improve the visuals and work in symbiosis with the rest of the features while also not being destructive or exaggerate in effects such as bloom.

Regarding plans for the future with this mod:
 • I would be happy to keep making skyboxes for any new outdoors levels @Outsider might introduce in the EXG.
 • There was meant to be an over-the-shoulder preset but unfortunately it proved more difficult than I had anticipated, the problem with it is mostly mathematical, I might work on this for a future update.
 • A skybox pack that is compatible with the non-advanced lightning graphic settings should be easy enough to make so it's on my list. Unless someone makes it first.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Wii
Nobody asked for this one but here we go regardless.
I think most of us can agree last-gen MUA2 was underwhelming and was a step down in almost every way compared to MUA1.
But it still remains the closest thing to what a sequel would had looked like if it had been made earlier and closer in style to the original and XML series.
Despite it's many flaws I think it's a fascinating entry in the franchise and there is some potential here.
So as usual I did my best to make this game as enjoyable as I could.
This is meant to work with the Wii Version of the game running on Dolphin on the Vulkan renderer.
The Wii version was picked due to it having better textures, framerate, audio and leeway in terms of what it can handle. With a proper controller configuration (included in the mod) the occasional Wii gimmick becomes irrelevant.

Features:
● 4 Extra playable characters: DS exclusives Sentry & She-Hulk have been added to the game.
The other two are Domino & Agent 13 bringing the roster to a solid 30.
I wanted them to be completely new and not present in any other version of any of the XML/MUA games.
● New Third Person Camera: Same third person camera as my previous XML & MUA mods to allow people to experience this game in a completely new way.
● Enhanced Visuals: This game notoriously looked worse than even XML1, which was made 5 years prior. So HD Textures and a custom made Reshade preset have been made to bring this entry visually more on par with the rest of the series.
● Removed selection circles: For a better and more immersive experience.
● Max Level trigger: For some reason this game is frustratingly hard even on easy/normal with very random difficulty spikes. I added a script trigger to instantly level up all characters to lv. 99 within the first level to balance the playing field. Not to worry, despite this, it won't take the challenge out of it. And the game will still feel like torture on hard mode, while easy/normal now play more like how they were supposed to in my opinion while looking also at MUA1.
