Custom Skins
« on: November 03, 2007, 03:53pm »
Hi,
I have made a couple of custom skins, if anyone is interested;

Sage [Current (Sort of)]
http://www.mediafire.com/?8o2zofedbm0

Namora [Exiles (not sure about using Polaris as base)]
http://www.mediafire.com/?eot1mzgommb

Polaris [Custom (based on Scarlet Witch Skin)]
http://www.mediafire.com/?emyjmmod4bb

!!!NEW!!!
(05/12/2007)
Angel [Ultimate]
http://www.mediafire.com/?1iy2ma0vylt

Beast [Ultimate Original]
http://www.mediafire.com/?1mjggod1dgy

Beast [Winter Furry]
http://www.mediafire.com/?7jomwjeo1g1

Nightcrawler [Warpies]
http://www.mediafire.com/?ay1gcnmbmdy

NB: All the new skins are shown w/o outline, as I am currently only making skins with hideable outline.  However, since these are based on XML2 models, you will need to hide the outline manually by modifying herostat.

Comments & Criticism Welcome,

Thanks,
Added a new Polaris skin to the first post.

Not really based on any particular outfit, basically just a Scarlet Witch recolour.

You can use Enchantress; I think it's a "better" model:

Thanks for the suggestion iammingy.
Does anyone know where I can find a version of the enchantress skin which I can edit, as I have downloaded the MUA-XML2 Skin Pack, but the skin included doesn't look nice in Texture Finder?

Thanks
Apollo

It would have been nice if we have the XBOX's MUA files...

You would have to use PS2 skins, which can be found below:

Here's the first release:
http://www.marvelmods.com/noelemahc/PS2MUAstuff.rar

This includes EVERY model of the ACTORS directory present in MUAPS2. And a bonus (in the form of PSP's Code 219 (Super-Skrull Comic) - filtered and upsampled and stretched onto the Code 33 model which they share).
What this doesn't have:
- Code 70 (Sentinels)
- Code 102 (Arcade)
- at least one of the subskins for EACH monster model/
...

Based on the FAQ from the main site (link below), Enchantress is 2901.igb
http://marvelmods.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=43

You'd need Norrin Radd's PS2Skinner for importing and exporting the DDS'es:

Thanks for the info, iammingy, will see what I can do, though after reading through it once it seems rather complex!

Back to my first post and query about the black outline, I've put in the;
      Multipart {
      health = 0 ;
      hideskin = xxxx_outline ;
      }
but looking at Cyclops, there are several skins which quote the same xxxx_outline in the skin file and only one seems to be affected.  I've tried using just the skin that keeps the outline on, but it doesn't do anything.

Any tips?

EDIT: I tried the same with Jean Grey, and it works better, but I have problems with the AoA Skins.
      Also, herostat can't seem to take more than 5 Multipart commands.  Any more than that and it
      ignores them all. Has any one else found that?

Thanks
Apollo

Custom Skins (NEW: Beast, Angel & Nightcrawler)

Hi, back again.
Not had any luck with Namora using Enchantress base (have looked, but it isn't clicking)

In the mean time, I have made more skins, and added them to the first post.

C&C welcome,
Apollo

The Angel and Ultimate Beast Skins especially rock!  by the way, what does the warpies under Nightcrawler mean?  Is it like herpies for Wagngers?

http://www.uncannyxmen.net/db/spotlight/showquestion.asp?faq=10&fldAuto=70&page=9 (Costume 2)

While he was a guest of Cloud Nine, Kurt’s costume was damaged. One of the Warpies, by the name of Silkworm, designed a new one for him. It was very close to the original one but also had some new elements. [Excalibur (1st series) #63]
