Brotherhood Edition
« on: February 24, 2009, 07:58pm »

Download here!
This now includes all updates for the Brotherhood Edition, making it Version 1.3:
  • Brotherhood Edition v1.0
  • Brotherhood Edition update (v1.1)
  • Compatibility fixes for OpenHeroSelect (OHS) 4.8.0
(read more about these below)

You're welcome ;)
-BaconWizard17

A package mod that adds new character mods and allows you to play with an all Brotherhood team. This package allows you to play with these new characters without replacing or altering your regular game.  Everything is already done for you, so all you have to do is play :)

The point is to be able to run XML2 regularly, but run the Brotherhood Edition on its own.

The New Roster is:

To play, all you have to do is unpack the package and drag and drop all the files in your X-Men Legends 2 folder (the files are setup exactly as XML2 sets it up, so you could even unpack the files directly in the XML2 folders). To launch the new game, double-click on Xmen2_BHE.exe.

This package mod and the files in it do not replace anything in the regular game, the package includes its own .exe (Xmen2_BHE.exe) that runs its own herostats (hero_bhe.engb), team bonus (team_b_bhe.engb), and Danger Room file (danger_bhe.engb), its own new_game scripts (new_bhe_.py and new_bhe__hard.py), and its own characters_heads package (characters_h_bhe.pkgb). The new exe also creates its own Save game folder, so that this editions Saves don't interfere with the regular game's save files, new save files located in My Documents/Activision/BrotherhoodMu 2/Save.  The new .exe is also a cracked .exe so you do not need the disc to run the game.

The only thing that will be replaced is the character heads package, but don't worry it has every character in this edition and every XML2 mod released so far. Also replaced will be the main dangeroom icons, the ones included in this pack add icons for new mods and some npc that are not in the original file.  So don't worry, but still back up anything important, I'm not responsible if you lose or overwrite something.  But these files are needed for the new edition to run correctly, so please just replace the files after backing-up the originals.

To have the new characters menu call outs and voices download the updated x_voice located here: http://marvelmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=2924.0, without this file characters like Avalanche and Marrow will not have any voice or menu call outs.

New characters are unlocked right from the start through script.

You must have everything in the pack in your game for the whole thing to work properly, don't forget anything.  Just add everything. But don't forget to backup anything that you don't want replaced.

Bonus stuff:
- Adds official skins to characters already in game (like Deapool's MUA skin and Rogue's XML1 skin), as well as custom skins (for example Magneto's Classic skin and Pyro's Freedom Force skin) and hidden gems (Toad and Juggernaut's Gladiator skins)
- Adds missing effects file for Sabretooth (the only playable that did not have their effects)
- Adds official hud heads from XML1 to Pyro's Gladiator skin and Toads XML1 skin.
- Load screens for every new character and for two established characters (Pyro and Sabretooth)
- New Danger Room maps from XML1 (Danger Room, NYC Courtyard, Astral Gateway and Space Station) and Danger Room missions for all characters, except Destiny.  Also in the Legends course you now fight Sinister's X-Men and Dark Beast.
- New Team Bonuses like Freedom Force and Ultimate Brotherhood.  Femme Fatale is now "The Sisterhood" and only includes members who were part of a group identifying themselves as a Sisterhood (modern group includes the Goblin Queen and past group included Rogue, Destiny, and Mystique)

Additional Notes:
The package uses the single skeleton version of Mystique and Goblin Queen, if you are currently using the two skeleton/new fightstyle version those files will be replaced by these.

If you are planning on also installing the All X-Men Edition and/or the Marvel Universe Edition, i would suggest first installing both of those and their updates, and then this Edition as this one is the most up to date.

To put out fires use Quicksilver's Whirlwind Spin or Accelerated Clap.

You have to install it to the same folder that your XML2 game is installed to.  Don't worry, it won't conflict with your regular XML2 game.

Here we go, a little debug here, I'm using a french XML2, so after renaming all the engb to freb, I found several issues below:

:pyro: Pyro has only 2 skins, not even including the one in the screen capture above
:blob: Blob's footprint effect is now actually explosion, right under his feet, for every step he makes...
:deadpool: Deadpool doesn't appear, Instead a ??? showed up in the list
:mystique: She and Forge also don't appear to be having the skin showed up in the screen capture

That's all for now, continue testing with all admiration for this brilliant bundle ;-)
Really good bundle indeed!! :elektra:

are you done playing through the game? because this edition unlocks stuff like the regular game.  so as you go a long more and more customes are unlocked (so maybe you havent unlocked all of Pyro's and other character skins), and Deadpool is locked until you beat the game (unlocking just like he does in the regular game).  Blob's footprint effect is a small cloud of dust, is this what you see or a real explosion?

Oh, sorry, I thought it was the same like the ALL XMEN version, everything was unlocked from game start... My apologise. For Blob, what I see is like the lower right screen of the second picture in your first post, that doesn't looked like a cloud of dust at all..;

Great mod. I've been waiting for this cause I can't seem to get the single characters to work in my game, no matter what I try. But one question: Goblin Queen started with no powers, is she suppose to?

thanks, theres a mistake in her herostat entry, the entry has the first point going to "gob_telek" and it should be "gob_tele".  So what you can do is either edit the "herosbro.engb" file and change this or play until she gets a point you can use.  If i ever do an update i'll fix this.

(i think this had already been asked in this thread, but the posts dissapeared when the site was down.)
