Poor Haiti

Hello Users as you can see that Haiti country has no money the childrens have no homes alot of people are in danger and they need help big help.

Life in there wasnt good at all before the Earthqauke but now the life in there is worse but they are still smiling on the news sometimes .

tbh, haiti has more money than the government of my country. 2 weeks ago, there was a big charity show on television, which collected over 80 million euro's. Which is a lot. But, that's just one country and their collected money, now add over 10 more countries and you'll get over 100 billion euroes or so.

All it takes is one natural disaster to make every country throw cash at them out of pity and subsequently get plunged back into recession. If Haiti was rich we wouldn't be sending all this aid.

Who throws money at the richer countries when disasters come to us? Nobody.

Another thing - shame on those Idaho based missionaries for trying to take children (some of whom still have family) out of Haiti. That's typical Team America though.

The thing that annoys me, is that all those people were living in poverty every day before this happened and not one government around the world donated money or supplies to help them, as soon as the natural didaster happens though, everything changes.

Well agreed on that. But I reject any statement that says it's bad on any level to send help and money to the over 600,000 homeless who have lost anywhere from 100,000 to 200,000 of their relatives.

True. But IMHO if people can help them, then those people should also focus on the homeless in their own country. What money is spent on them? Nothing, nada. They may have lost everything or something valuable of what they have too.. Instead, governments turns money into problems (national treasure problems, statedebt etc) and only decide to help when Motha Nature drops in and throws another disaster at some random country or so.

Im still wondering why my country (and perhaps the whole world) sticks to all the debts it has instead of just forgetting it so everyone can have an easier life.

so i pitty Haiti so please Give money. People are so bad dont help dont respect + Steal Kill.So Give them what they people didnt even knowed Haiti If you give money and have a little left over they will help their selfs so give smile and you know that you did a good thing and some day it will return to you

For me, Hungary was in a pretty bad shape for a long time. Turkish people, Austrian people, Russian people (I don't know how do you say Szovjet in English). Plus, because of Austrian and German people, we were on the wrong side of WW and because of the French people, Big Hungary turned into a little piece of what it was. I don't hate these nations, just they done awful things with us and I don't remember everyone helping us. Not like Haiti. Heck, even Hungarians are helping them. I hope everything will be cool for them.

I'm glad you feel that way. I mean, if everybody that didn't get help refused to help the next one in need than we're all on our own. as my good fella Gandhi said "an eye for an eye and soon the whole world is blind".

Exactly. I didn't really expect anyone to have a problem with people sending help or saying "what about us?" when Port-au-Prince, Haiti is in the amount of trouble it is in. They need help, if you can give then give, if you can't or don't want to don't discourage others from doing so. (Not that anyone here said that, but I just wanted to make that point)

I agree those people are pretty messed up, especially since it seems they were taking kids that they knew had parents. But to put that all on the US is just messed up, how does this group of idiots represent the rest of the country? They were Baptists missionaries, should we blame all Baptists too? But I get it, its popular to criticize the US. If we don't help were a bunch of greedy rich bastards, if we do help we are a bunch of busybodies getting involved were we are not wanted, doing everything wrong.

That statement is innacurate, other nations do help out the richer countries. For example when Hurricane Katrina devasted the U.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_response_to_Hurricane_Katrina "An article in the April 29, 2007 Washington Post claimed that of the $854 million offered by foreign countries, whom the article dubs "allies," to the US Government, only $40 million of the funds had been spent "for disaster victims or reconstruction" as of the date of publication (less than 5%)."

They did receive aid before this, they just need a lot more now.
