Have you ever found a Comic cover to be misleading?

So today I went to the comic book store, and me being a phoenix fan looked for phoenix comics, and I got What if? Phoenix rose again, The wedding of Jean and scott, Classic X-men Old vs New, and then New X-Men comic with phoenix on the front... Yeah I saw the same Jean comic and was going to buy it until I saw in the inside, no Jean. It really bugged me but I may just buy it for the cover.

Thor and Maestro did not fight. Thor was in the present in fact, while Maestro in the future.

The FF did not fight the Celestials, only Reed did.

Its a thing everyone should get used to, because comics do that a lot.

(Off-topic: I have the wedding issue, and the what if issue as well. I hope to get the classic x-men issue for the Jean backstory)

Btw I was reading on Uncanny X-Men.com on Jean Grey's issue list and it has both of these on there and with 2 diffrerent descriptions, the one  Igot has a more indepth description, so did they add more to the comic or is it still the same?

yeah...all the time we see covers of people dying when they don't. not that it matters anymore, nowadays if they do die it's like "so what?"

Or just put her in a grave, where she belongs? I mean, come on, even zombies can't come back that many times But hey, they did kill off other people...Nightcrawler and Cable...gee...I can't wait to see them, as some kind of ultimate weapons of the galaxy too. Or as zombies. Or as Dr. Frankeinstein's (Mr. Sinister would fit the role very well) monsters. You get my point. Oh, and about the topic: I've seen so many misleading comic covers. But sometimes, the comic covers are a lot better, than the actual comic itself.

Lol so true, although I dont think they should put her in a grave just bring her back but depower her a lot to where she can be on the X-Menwith out breaking a fingernail and turning into Dark Phoenix XD, and yeah the comic I bought above with Phoenx on the front but with her not in the comic at all, I think the cover is better imo

But, at least, they are good for their purpose: advertisement. The comic covers are there for making advertisement, and you buy it normally, because of what you see on the cover.

Very true, and although I am angry that Jean is not in it at all lol Im still hapyp with the cover! BTW this just came to me is it rare for your comic book stores to have what if? comics because it is for mine and Im supprised  I found this Phoenix what if

My store has them. BTW the what if issue you have is the 2nd part. The 1st part is the issue before it in what if.
