Spamming :/

Ok so we all know that it happens, and it is very rude and annoying! We all are here to enjoy the site and what it has to offer, Mods, Updates on games, etc, but it seems like lately more and more people have been coming on this site, just to advertise things or talk about things people dont care about, Like there has been some about a Cell phone company, and how you can buy them, websites on where to buy tickets for cheap, and much more, is it just me or is it starting to get annoying?

Edit: And they dont even post in the right section, they post in General Disscusion in the MUA section, not this off topic section, which I think is even more rude!

they are spam bots. DONT RESPOND to those thread or them, just report it and a moderator or admin will come in and delete those threads and ban people. If it gets really bad we will just close down registration or make it approval only. But again, ignore those threads, report them and we will deal with them.

Its getting out of hand I think, it never used to be like this and now in 1 day all of this its crazy!

just two days ago i saw posts on teenage mentality in the request thread of mua.thank GOD the admins removed it.

Yes i think you guys are being overly dramatic, its a couple of threads that can easily be avoided and that the mods/admins can delete and ban. And please dont pm with these spam threads, just hit the report button. Most of these threads are gone within a day, so just ignore them until we get to them.

Not to bring up something that is already said to be dealt with, but I thought in order to acess the full site, people had to post 3 times and then they were let in.  That's what I had to do at least but these spammers always have like 1 post, so I didn't know if that function had been changed, where everyone that registers is allowed in

i personally vote for instilling some more precautions to stop spam bots. it's just really obnoxious XP
