Wait, Protogoblin? What the cuss is a Proto-Goblin? Granted, a "goblin" character has been one of Spidey's main adversaries over the years, but come on! There are so many other good villains!

Personally, if they had gone with the recent "Big Time" plot line, the excitement would have made me pee my trousers.

Edit: We may be able to breath a sigh of relief about the Proto-Goblin thing. It's still too early to tell, but:

i don't understand why you already think it's a fail. i think it's quite early to say that. i like that they thought of making a new costume (and it looks pretty cool). and main actor doesn't seem so bad either (at least better than Tobey)

Well, I think Tobey was good for the first film. Second was okay for me, too. The third...well...yeah, it could have been better. But for this, it feels bad. I mean, this kid will be either someone, who will be overhated by everyone or someone, who will be forgotten very fast. Either way, I don't like him.

I think it will be epic. But they should not have changed the suit, he has had that awesome suit ever since the beginning. I mean, why change it? For me, the suit change would be the only flaw. We can't say it stinks until we actually SEE the movie. So until I see the movie, I say it could be a very awesome movie.

i'm only worried about the movie because spiderman was not made for movie format. his stories are always episodic and when he has a movie length adventure they are always a big deal, and contrasted with the ordinary one to three part series. they could potentially make a spiderman tv show work a lot better than full length movies, even though it would take more budget than it's worth for most companies probably. they could always just go the "heroes" route and have excessive and obvious product placement XD

As for his costume, I think that Spidey is long overdue for a change. His costume was created in the early 60s... Think about other Superheroes that got their start back in the day... They all have very different, updated costumes. Now, I know that Spidey's "Red and Blues" are classic and all, but personally, the changed costumes have all been my favorites, like Ben Reilly, The Black Suit, Scarlet Spider, and the new Big Time outfit. I don't know why they keep switching back, sales/reception maybe?

I will not nay say about this movie, it IS far too early, as you guys mentioned, but that's not going to stop me from speculating! Either way, I am still "pee pants" excited.

They should totally make The Amazing Spider-man 2 about the clone saga and spider-carnage that would be SO EPIC!!! But I guess I should worry about the FIRST movie instead of the second. But you know, I just summing up an idea.

Clone Saga seems a bit much for a movie, maybe if they dedicated a trilogy to it. But the new style doesn't really seem to pander to the clone saga. Not only that, but you would have to have the main characters fully developed before launching into something like that.

Killed what? I didn't kill anything. I just thought of something that I think would be cool. I really don't care what you or anyone else thinks. Even if it wouldn't work out in the movie, I think it would be awesome anyway. And I'm not picking a fight with you either, that would be stupid. But if you don't like my ideas and thoughts, then keep it to yourself and stop trying to correct them.

I think this movie may be good, but it also might be an epic fail... I dont like the new costume, I don't like how they have Gwen Stacy in but not MJ :/ and isnt the bad guy the Lizard? I dont think he is a very good first movie villian maybe like a side villian along someone else. I want to see some Black Cat! lol and wanted her since the third movie, then I herd there was supposed to be a forth movie but instead of Felicia turning into the Black Cat she would turn into some new villian called Vulturess, with the real Vulture already supposed to be in lame... I think they should make a Secert Wars movie arc with Spiderman or something but thats just me

Oho! I'll bet they will make a Secret Wars movie once all of the Marvel Franchise movies are out, and a couple sequels are in the mix. I would be so excited for that. Or a Civil War arc, that is probably more likely than Secret Wars, but still. I too would like some Black Cat action, she is a good anti-hero to throw in next to Spidey, they get into some pretty hilarious antics together.

As far as Gwen Stacy is concerned, she was Pete's first girlfriend, and was around before MJ. I like the throwback there.

Im glad someone else wants Black Cat in there, she is like my fav Spiderman lady! I think I can deal with Gwen Stacy but it still wont seem right, but oh well, I also think an Ultimate Alliance movie would be really cool, they could make a Secert wars movie easily after that like as a second movie or something, same with the Civil War arc!

Firstly well the movie looks good the suit looks kinda cool part from the fact in the picture it looks like a computer generated image of some guy who couldn't find the right material for a spidey suit so who got a bag of basket balls cut em up and stitched em together well basket ball are designed to withstand the impact of the floor when it hits so maybe with the new spidey suit if his webline goes to sleep or get cut off he might bounce back up (jk jk)

...but anyways Secondly the suit looks good due to the lighting it looks like its computer generated which might make it easier for the designers to create a more life like version when working on the spidey in the game judging by the new spideys agile appearance I smell a good design of fluid air movement much like web of shadows that might come into the game I just wonder how they gonna fit the game plot with the movie cause apparently theyre gonna be doing lizards in the movie tons of them a gang of them no a swat team of lizards. now the way I see it lizards was already done in the third game and i'm not keen on repeats

Thirdly if theres gonna be another venom in the future asm are they gonna do the same dark overactive movie plot from spiderman 3
I was hoping if there are any sequels do it more like ultimate spiderman the game the the ultimate comics are much diffrent to the amazing series
ultimate spiderman was an awesome game the plot was brilliant and it wasn't dark and dingy it was more comic like.
if someone did a video of them playing spiderman and do role play with some voice actors I would watch it
point being I want spiderman something I gonna watch again and a again and then the sequels again and again.

Ive watched spiderman1 about 40 to 50 times now spiderman 2 about 45 to 55 times spiderman 3 less than 5 times
you see my point the sequel hiped me up the third one said I quit.
so yeah.
