I don't know much about the gameplay but this is looking like the next MUA type game...

Ubisoft and Marvel Entertainment have joined forces to develop a video game based on the popular Avengers characters and other heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, "Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth’s" interactive environments are inspired by iconic Marvel comic artwork and the Secret Invasion storyline. The game will be released this fall for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft with Kinect for Xbox 360 and Nintendo’s Wii U system.

“We are excited to team up with Marvel Entertainment to bring some of the most iconic comic book characters from the Marvel line-up to life in motion-gaming,” said Tony Key, US senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “Fans of the Marvel universe and superhero games are going to love the extensive combinations of characters, motion-controlled moves and competitive gameplay.”

“For the last few years, Marvel has positioned itself to deliver the absolute best in entertainment, be it in film, animation, comics or games,”  said Andreea Enache-Thune, senior vice president of games and digital distribution at Marvel.  “Partnering with Ubisoft is a big part of that ongoing movement. We are confident that Ubisoft’s talent matches Marvel’s own commitment to making the "Avengers: Battle for Earth" the best in the motion-controlled gaming category.”

"Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth" features 20 different characters, including Avengers such as Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor, as well as other fan-favorite super heroes and super villains from the Marvel Universe.

Well, it is a Kinect game, so not many of us will play it. A big meh... for this one

I have a kinect, and I must say I really dont like it at all. When I saw it I thought it looked so cool, and then I started playing it and I hated it. So I dont have high hopes for this game.

I don't like the idea either.  I have the Wii and when MUA came out I rented it, and it was weird moving the wiimote same with mua 2 when using it to point at things.  I think motion platform games should not be mixed with superhero-like games.  It just doesn't seem to translate well into the game.  I think superhero games, for the most part at least remain button mashers.  I think it would've been fine if mua was button mashing on the wii.

Way I see it, is that all those family games should be realesed on either Wii or Kinect, but games where people might take things a little more seriously (this one for example) should really just be realesed for playstation 3 or xbox 360 or pc Also, really? Only 20 characters? Those characters better be detailed

As much as I know, they will only release it on Kinect-equipped Xbox 360s and the Wii U

We now have a non-gameplay trailer. Graphics and models look shiny but I'm still worried about gameplay >,< maybe we'll be able to rip some of the models for MUA though?
