Replacing beginning Characters

Hi. I want to replace all characters in MUA with X-men and Brotherhood characters (Of course I will keep Wolverine, Iceman,...). But I got a problem that I can't replace 3 beginning Characters (Captian, Spidey, Thor). If I replace them, the game will take crash at the very start of the game. Is there some way to replace them?? (My English isn't good, so if I wrong any grammar, I'm so sorry)

Hello there should be a mod that will let you change characters from the beginning, but I played MUA a lot so when you finish the game the first time it allows you to chose characters from the beginning the next time you play MUA. So basically you have to complete the game first.
