Originally biochemistry professor Ted Sallis, the man who would later be transformed into the swamp creature known as 'Man-Thing', started out with the best intentions for humanity.

Recruited into the United States Army for Project Sulfur, Ted would eventually develop the experimental SO-2 Serum which would grant its user permanent immunity to all known and recorded toxic biochemicals in theory.

Continuing to modify the formula in a desperate attempt to rid it of the more monstrous side-effects on test subjects and make it more of a safer basis for a new Super Soldier Serum, Ted would tragically not manage to definitively refine it (as he was hunted down by the organization known as A.I.M., in the hopes of creating monstrous soldiers that they could use to take over the world).

Devoting the formula to memory, Ted burned the surviving SO-2 serum records he had documented and fled in his car, injecting the only existing sample of the SO-2 formula into himself prior.

However, AIM agents would not be far behind and ultimately forced Ted off the road as he crashed into a swamp within the Florida Everglades and tragically perished.

But this would not be the end for Ted Sallis as the magical energies of the swamp combined with the S0-2 serum within Sallis's bloodstream, transforming him into the hideous but largely instinctual Man-Thing, as his human intelligence, memories and personality quickly faded away into stasis within the body of the monster consequently.

Doomed to primarily roam the swamp he now calls home forever as the guardian for the Nexus of All Realities, the Man-Thing has proven to either be a great help or a major threat to anyone who comes near him as his sensory empathic abilities help him better adapt to most situations.

Magically transported away from his swamp and brought onto the vast omniversal SHIELD strike team by his long-time sorceress ally, Jennifer Kale, she would work with Doctor Voodoo, Doctor Strange's heroic mute clone Paradox, Scarlet Witch and an assortment of other magic users pulled from different realities to Earth-7150, in order to cast a vast, all-encompassing spell that greatly enhanced Man-Thing's empathic abilities in order to better recognize who was friend or foe.

Forging a stronger, unsaid bond with his countless new allies as a side-effect of the spell (whose effects would last only as long as the mission required against the newly forged Masters of Evil group), the mute Man-Thing instinctively prepares to fend off any threat that gets in his way...

What a legendarily cool character!!!

I always found it so strange how Man-Thing and Swamp Thing are so similar, but they have a few distinctions between each other.

Originating from an alternate reality, this version of Victor von Doom had been through it all: Devoting years of his life to mastery over the mystic arts and scientific research, saving his mother's spirit from the parasitic demon Mephisto, time traveling, fighting demons, exploring and encountering extraterrestrial life... even becoming a literal god with power to match several times over.

However upon being defeated by his long-time rival, Reed Richards, yet again and having his god-like power stripped from him by the Molecule Man as the multiverse was gradually restored from a particularly major cataclysmic event, Victor found himself returned to his variant of Earth feeling a sense of unfulfillment, in ways he had never felt before.

Years of his life spent on an insatiable quest for power and what did it ultimately achieve in the end? Failure after failure, setback after setback and more enemies against him than he could throw retaliating strikes at, as the country of Latveria stood as a durable monument to his shameful hubris.

But while it was quickly revealed in mainstream Marvel canon that Victor's memories had been altered by Mr Fantastic in the hopes of setting him down a better path, this version of Victor von Doom was not affected by such a ploy and came to this natural conclusion himself over time, his previously scarred face still restored as a side-effect of the Molecule Man's power.

No longer finding any meaningful sense of pleasure or purpose under the costumed dictator persona of 'Doctor Doom' that he had gone under for so long and shortly uncovering his world's version of Tony Stark had fallen into a coma, Victor knew then and there that his new destiny was calling.

Deciding to give the path of a so-called hero a shot, Victor stole one of Tony Stark's Iron Man suits and fashioned himself a new persona as the 'Infamous Iron Man', putting his mastery over the mystic arts and science to effective use as he prepared to hunt down villains and bring them to justice in his own way, still being about as boastful and arrogant as ever as he sought to redeem himself for his countless crimes.

Despite this inevitably not lasting in mainstream continuity after having his face newly scarred during a great battle against a Dormammu-possessed Hood and starting his jarring descent back into villainy, the path of this Victor von Doom would continue down the road to heroism (as he merely got back up from this unpleasant setback and grew into a stronger, more morally righteous figure, casting a spell to restore his face to what it was before the battle).

Not caring anymore whether anyone would accept him as a man trying his hardest to reform or not, Victor chose instead to be the better man and immediately rejected the mysterious Zora Vukovic's help, seeing no need to have any more innocent blood put in harm's way for his heroic crusade.

As Victor set to work on bringing Latveria back from the poor state he'd left it in during his more noble pursuits abroad, many heroes began to gradually gain trust and respect for him as the Infamous Iron Man (including Victor's old enemies, the Fantastic Four, who he now saw more as equals and no longer as the enemies who consistently thwarted his plans in another life).

Unexpectedly witnessing tears in reality across all of Latveria one day, Victor managed to narrow down the source of these portals to the alternate universe known as Earth-7150, a reality where a variant of him never once swayed from the villainous position he had to fight tooth and nail to rise up from, leading a group called the Masters of Evil down a path of destruction that would be highly likely to cost all of existence once more.

Not wanting a repeat of the second 'Secret Wars', Victor suited up as the Infamous Iron Man and had one of his reworked Doombots look after his kingdom while he was gone, preparing to teach his Earth-7150 counterpart a lesson in humility, even if it meant having to explain everything once more to the vast amount of protectors that comprised Earth-7150's heroes...

This is so cool! I loved the Infamous Iron Man comics, and I never realized the genius of having Victor Von Doom's heroic and villainous sides fighting one another! This will truly be a satisfying character to spearhead a run of the game with!

I always love seeing heroes wrestle with corruption arcs and villains wrestle with redemption arcs, but Doom's is one of the coolest and most satisfying.

A young woman with a heart of gold, Cassie Lang admired and loved her biological father, Scott Lang, from an early age in spite of his initial criminal background (after he went through hell and back to get her a safe, successful heart transplant).

Encountering many of Earth-7150's greatest heroes as she grew up into a teenager, Cassie would intentionally expose herself to Pym Particles soon enough in the hopes of becoming a superhero herself.

But as Scott became much more involved with the superhero community, Cassie's mother, Peggy Rae, worried for her daughter's safety and took Cassie into her parental custody, having re-married to a police officer named Blake Burdick who harbored a strong dislike for superheroes (with Cassie's consistent kidnappings during this period not helping her opposing stance).

However, this would not stop Cassie from following in the footsteps of Scott Lang for long (as she gradually aged into her early 20s, having discovered that she could alter her size akin to the various Ant-Mans or Wasps, her body adapting accordingly to the changes brought out by prior Pym Particle exposure).

Joining the Young Avengers in spite of Scott's initial objections, she would eventually be properly trained in militaristic strategies and defensive hand-to-hand combat by Captain America & Wolverine respectively, adopting the codename of Stature for a time before settling on the more defining Stinger persona.

Contacted alongside her father by Tony Stark in regards to a existential-level threat posed by the Masters of Evil, the two would suit up as they flew off for Stark Tower...

4. Taking The Initiative: Cassie channels her feelings of anger, growing in size as she grabs an enemy and uses them as a makeshift weapon, dealing damage to surrounding enemies before eventually throwing the one in her hands away as she returns to normal size.
5. Drilling Stinger: Cassie channels her feelings of anger, growing to giant size as she leaps into the air and drills into the ground, damaging surrounding enemies are they're knocked back from the blow, before returning to normal size.
6. (Boost) Tiny Invader: Cassie channels her feelings of fear, encouraging the Pym Particles in her system to shrink her to the size of an ant, gaining increased movement speed, damage and a higher chance to dodge incoming enemy attacks. Cannot be slowed down or grabbed.
7. The long lost daughter of Hank Pym and his first wife, Maria Trovaya, Nadia found herself kidnapped from a very young age and raised within the infamous Red Room responsible for the Black Widow spy program, in the hopes of turning her into an agent herself.

Demonstrating an impressive aptitude for science above all else in-between her various other training sessions in numerous subjects and believing her natural skill to be genetic, Nadia's handlers informed her of her famous father and encouraged her to focus on her studies more.

However, this would prove to be a major mistake for the Red Room Academy as this made Nadia all the more determined to escape the hellish academy and find her real family.

Taking a grave risk, Nadia was eventually able to obtain a Pym Particle sample off the black market without the academy's knowledge, working in secret to study the size altering capabilities of the particles and ensure that they could be used reliably without posing any harm to herself.

Managing to escape at last after several months of planning, Nadia fled Russia to the United States and made her way to the current address of her father (quickly learning that he wasn't home).

Shrinking down and sneaking into Hank's presently unoccupied lab, Nadia would fashion herself a costume from old Ant-Man suit pieces and unofficially became the second Wasp, vowing to earn the admiration of her father and his allies as she took to the skies of New York.

Noticing a streak of fire above her from one of the Human Torches that seemed to be heading in the direction of Stark Tower, Nadia decided to follow it and hope she wasn't too late...

4. Stinging Wasp: Nadia fires rapid bio-electric blasts from her hands, dealing electric damage to struck targets.
5. (Debuff) Orchestrated Strike: Nadia strikes an enemy in a critical location, stunning them temporarily.

Originating from Earth-26320, Abraham Whistler was once a happily married man before his family became a target for a sadistic vampire, who cruelly drained the life blood of his wife and daughters before his eyes, moving onto torturing Abraham and severely injuring him, before the now satisfied vampire swiftly disappeared into the night.

Eventually recovering from his wounds, Abraham would dedicate his life to hunting down vampires as he willingly shut himself off from the world and learned everything he could about their culture and customs.

Several years later, Abraham would encounter a young Eric Brooks on the streets of New York (almost mistaking him for a traditional vampire as he quickly uncovered Eric's unique birth as a Daywalker who happened to possess all of the vampire strengths with none of their weaknesses beyond an insatiable bloodlust, looking convincingly human otherwise).

Taking Eric under his wing, Abraham taught the young man everything he knew about vampire hunting and how to safely utilize his new powers, creating a serum which helped to sate Eric's uncontrollable bloodlust, choosing to go by the name of Blade from then on as his urban legend reputation among the vampire race, grew with each passing year.

However, Abraham would eventually be diagnosed with lung cancer after years of a bad smoking habit and secretly began to form a team of vampire hunters behind Blade's back, determined to ensure that he would never be alone in his crusade to wipe out all vampires.

Fending off an assault by the vampire lord, Deacon Frost and his goons as he gave then-infected vampire victim Karen Jenson enough time to escape with a cure to both her and Blade's ailment, Abraham was bitten by Frost and threatened with being turned into a vampire himself in order to lure Blade out for his own ends.

Being found not too long afterward by Blade at their destroyed warehouse lair, Abraham pleaded for Blade to go and stop Deacon Frost's plans, attempting to commit suicide in order to escape from a worse fate as Blade slowly walked away.

This would unfortunately turn out to be in vain for Abraham however as he survived the self-inflicted gun shot and was kidnapped by the forces of the vampire overlord, Eli Damaskinos, who saw Abraham as a tool that could prove useful against Blade, keeping him as a tortured prisoner that had now been turned into the very thing he despised.

Luckily, Abraham would be found alive and saved by his young protege, Blade, after two years of dedicated searching (brought back to their new safehouse in New York's docks as a new, more refined cure created by Karen Jenson was administered to eradicate Abraham's vampirism and make him a mortal human once more with the lung cancer wiped from his system as a byproduct of his time as a vampire).

Gradually reforging a trusting relationship with Blade, Abraham ultimately proved himself during the events of the Reaper Strain vampire outbreak and proved that this old man could still learn new tricks.

Unfortunately, this would not last for too long as Blade recklessly killed several humans who were loyal to an offshoot group of vampires, neglecting to ensure in his overconfident mindset that they were truly vampires.
Knowing that the two of them had now opened up the wasp's nest with attracting too much attention, Abraham knew it was only a matter of time before their base of operations was discovered by the local human authorities.

With the sudden arrival of the FBI who stormed upon their safehouse and not wanting decades of intel on vampires to fall into the wrong hands, Abraham nobly sacrificed himself once more and afforded Blade enough time to escape, not living to see what would become of his protege and his time among the Nightstalkers as they wiped out the vampires for good on Earth-26320 with the defeat of Dracula himself.

But things are not always as they seem, as a strange dimensional portal formed beneath Abraham and pulled him safely to a different universe just before the explosives entirely destroyed the safehouse.

Now finding himself on Earth-7150 and discovering that his cure had only partially gotten rid of his vampirism, Abraham now found himself able to move about and react like someone in their physical prime despite still being old and mortal.

Suddenly encountering a different version of Blade who had never even met him before (but had still gone on to be a vampire hunter regardless in this strange timeline), Abraham was about to ask this Blade a whole host of questions about where he was, before the two were inexplicably attacked by robotic clowns, which eventually managed to abduct Blade as he was teleported away somewhere else, with only a maniacal laugh heard by Abraham as he was separated from Blade again as quickly as he had been reunited.

Determined to save this version of Blade no matter what, Abraham had his attention drawn to a unfamiliar voice as he turned around to see two mysterious men whom claimed to be allies of this world's Blade, calling themselves Hannibal King and Frank Drake respectively...

Being a resident within the Mushroom Kingdom of the Super Mario universe, this particular Toad has been involved in many adventures with the Mario brothers, whether that be in helping to stop Bowser's latest kidnapping scheme involving Princess Peach or getting himself involved in dealing with a much bigger threat.

Unfortunately for Toad however, his interchangeable appearance with that of many other members of his species, left him feeling undervalued by the end of each adventure as his 'friends' went off to new parts unknown without him often, as he resigned himself to being just another royal guard to Princess Peach.

One night, Toad wished upon a shooting star for a chance to go on an adventure of his very own and perhaps save a few beings himself along the way.

Unknown to him however, events of a vast omniversal scale were beginning to unfold within a drastically different reality as portals started to spawn across many other alternate universes and draw random denizens from said worlds into a particular time period within Earth-7150.

Suddenly spying one of these portals nearby, Toad rushed to get some weapons from the local Mushroom Kingdom armory, packing them all into his go-kart as he started up its engines and drove into the portal for parts unknown as it closed behind him...

-4 powers, 3 boosts and an Xtreme
-Abilities of might, flight and Mario Kart (will spawn in a vehicle that he can ride in and run enemies over by pressing jump button whilst blocking)
-4 hex-edited skins, HUD, loading screen, icons and voice/sound file using archived audio from various Mario games.
-Uses assigned number #106 (will clash with playable Frost Giant, Inferno and Siryn in mannequin).

DISCLAIMER: Determined Charge (Power 3) is quite rough in execution but its the best I have to work with, considering Toad's scale_factor coding. Best to use it in close quarters or situations where enemies aren't too far away to get the most out of it.

1. Aggressive Adversity: As a reference to Mario Party 3, Toad pulls out a random mallet and attacks enemies with it. If fully charged, there is a chance stunned threats will be instantly killed!
2. Explosive Rumble: As a reference to Wario's Woods, Toad leaps into the air briefly and throws several cartoon-styled bombs at surrounding enemies, dealing fire damage.
3. Determined Charge: Toad charges forward like an unstoppable battering ram, damaging everything in his path.
4. Spinning Fungus: Toad makes use of his incredible levels of endurance, performing a spin attack that deals physical damage over time.
5. (Boost) Green Gecko Gem: Toad uses an obscure item from the Nintendo Comics System issues to create a glowing yellow barrier around him, making him invulnerable temporarily.
6. (Debuff) Grumpy Toad: Based off an ability from the Smash Bros franchise, Toad gets annoyed, releasing non-lethal spores that stun surrounding enemies temporarily.
7. (Boost) Guiding Adviser: As a regular adviser within the ranks of the Mushroom Kingdom, Toad manages to increase skill ranks for himself and his fellow teammates temporarily.
8. (Xtreme) Mushroom Kingdom Might: Despite being scared internally of what's going on around him, Toad puts his all into a powerful radial attack, leaping into the air as high physical damage is dealt to all nearby threats.

When I first saw the name of this character, I got really confused, because I assumed it was the one from X-Men and could've sworn he already had a mod! But this is a very pleasant, and equally unexpected surprise. I hope this means more Super Mario characters might be able to make it in!
