I tried to install SM3 but it hasn't worked... do I need absolutely the english version of vista?

Windows Vista needs a lot RAM and this game uses a lot of RAM. If your graphics card uses shared RAM, then your computer would be seriously out of RAM... haha.  As a result, the game might not work.

I'll try soon to add a 3d card to see what happens. You see, on the game's box, it is written:
(...)-English version of Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000/XP/Vista.
...and I am using french version of Vista
Do I have to absolutely buy the english version?

That's not what he meant. He had the French version of Windows Vista and he wanted to know whether the English version of Windows was a strict requirement for Spiderman 3...
