The japanese intros are lame indeed. I prefer the original high above those.

The original intro is a clasic, every single time that I hear that song, I remember when I was a kid.

But I have to admit that in the japanese intro, Jean's powers looks better (intro number 1), I also like the fact that she's not using tha ponytail, I never liked her with the ponytail...

people staring at the horizon sitting on rocks with wind on their hairs? check
people falling from height while attacking enemies? check

Oh, come on, they are awesome. Not only because of the Liefeld-inspired artwork (seriously, Wolverine in particular looks very Liefeld-ish, as if they called on Rob just to draw the guy), extremely cute Rogue and the abundance of Cable and the Phalanx, but also because it provides variety to the visuals =)
