For the second time in less than a year, I have acquired a virtumonde trojan in my computer (see my topic from april http://marvelmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=3236.0) and I have reason to believe that it may come from downloads on this site, as both of them appeared after downloading items from this site.  The latest one, called lavufanu, originated in eastern europe and this site does have visitor from all over the world.  I am not accusing anybody, but warning the forum at large of the possibility.

Whenever you download something you should run a virus scan before opening it, i dont this site is the issue since ive been here for a while and have never gotten anything.

No time for modding at the moment, sorry.

I've never had anything from this site that puts a virus. Texture Finder has a virus report but from what I heard it is false.

me too i have never got a viruse form downloading somthing from here :P

Recently I updated my Norton AntiVirus to the 2010 Edition and it found viruses or suspicious activity from Texture Finder, zsmeditor and 3D Analyze installer. I have never gotten a virus report from any of these until I updated. Not sure what it means but I've used these programs for a while and never had a virus related problem. Anyways i set to ignore those programs, but im still wondering why this edition sees a problem.

"Beneath this mask there are ideals and ideals are bulletproof."

For a while my computer (acutally, just my personal account on the computer, interestingly), was saying I had oh, so many viruses. Odd thing is: It said most of them were in the MUA folder where the game files themselves were. I think the virus detector thing itself was a virus. It didn't sound very proffesional. I clicked on one of the viruses so I could see the description. Tell me if you think sounds professional:
Quote from: Stupid Virus detector thing
Sometimes at the end of this file it will come up with a message that reads 'At Last.... ALIVE!!'. I guess you are infected with the Big Joke virus.
Emphasis mine. But, there were many more 'viruses' that it detected.

It's gone now all of a sudden. I just thought I'd ask for your thoughts on this.

Hope you didnt pay for it...

Whaddya mean? I didn't pay for the virus detector. It just showed up.
