Yep, my wife and I are going opening night with some friends. First time we'll have been to the cinema in months. Hasn't been much to see, but this summer is gonna be awesome. Iron Man, Hulk, Indiana Jones (I'm from Indiana :P), Narnia: Prince Caspian, Batman: The Dark Night... Yeah, it's gonna be a great summer.
Yes, it is. ^_^ I am very excited about them, too.
"Punisher: War Zone" was planned for Sept 12, 2008, but it got pushed back to December... The summer could have ended even better...haha
I also plan to see it on opening night over here in australia on the 1st of may . Cant wait to see it looks awesome :D
1st of May for us here in Redland, but I think I'll see it after the numbers of the hordes of crazy fanbois and people with little to no appreciation of all things Marvel (i.e. those that go see new movies because they're NEW movies) have dwindled a bit.

lol , sounds like a good plan , ill have to put up with people i know seeing it then thinking their some sort of iron man expert when the have had nothing to do with iron man before that.
I plan on going to the movies on opening night as well. :)
u guys lucky, for me i have to wait a bit longer and wait for dvd for subtitle as i am deaf lol
This movie is unbelievable!! one of the best movie's finally coming out next Thursday(For us in North America)!!! Teancum I have to 100% agree with you for Obidiah Stain's line referring to them being Iron Mongers, when I watched it I was blown away. I'll say it again, this is the greatest movie coming out in my opinion! Oh ya I decided to go the Friday after Thursday, that way I can relax for the weekend and not have to worry bout going to school in the morning.
PS: this has to be the sweetest picture of what is to come. The evolution of Ironman!!!

Sweet indeed!
My partner is taking me to see it the day it comes out too. I'm pumped! I seen the previews for it like a few weeks ago and freaked out. (I think I scared my neighbors too...lol)

Iron Man, Hulk, Indiana Jones (I'm from Indiana :P)
I'm in Indiana, was in Indianapolis, but not anymore...Aint left the state yet though. My Grandfather wants me to go with him to see that Indiana Jones, but I never got into that...don't know why either.

That has been my wallpaper since early April. :D
I got advance tickets to see it May 1 (Thursday)! I'm like a little kid! I'm so excited! :stark:
'grats, dude. As I said, I prolly won't go see it for another week, just to let the crowds die down. Not a big fan of overcrowded movie theaters, I am.
I'm watching it today!
:D
Im gonna grab the tickets tomorrow night before Friday just in case. I did the same thing for Spiderman 3 and it got so crowded they had a huge lineup..Luckily I was second in line. Did you guys know they made a titanium man figure for the action figure series? Do you guys think he will make an appearance in the movie?
im a see it tommorrow night (after coming out of work and getting my paycheck with my girlfriend) at the amc theater in certal city, california. united states,. Canit wait!!!
AWE-SOME-O!
Frickin' wikid graphics! Not really into the storyline though.
I saw the movie a couple of hours ago. I'm not the kind of people that like to give whole reviews of films or anything, so I won't. I'll just say that it's really good.
By the way, I just found out that there's supposed to be an extra scene after the credits roll, so you may want to wait a little longer before leaving.
<<<SPOILER>>>
After the credits roll by, Stark finds Nick Fury at his house asking if he knows anything about an Avengers initiative. This thus prompts a spin-off Avengers movie, IMO.
BEST MARVEL MOVIE EVER!!!
Seriously. It was flat out incredible. Robert Downey Jr absolutely nailed the Tony Stark character, Gwenneth was a nice Pepper Potts, Bridges was an awesome Iron Monger. Terrance Howard wouldn't have been my first choice for Rhoades, but after watching the movie he fits the bill nicely. VERY open ended for a sequel and... shall we say a team-based spinoff? However I doubt that'll happen until more individual characters get individual movies.
Seriously I'd give it 5/5. Even my wife loved it. We walked out of the theater and she was like "We need to own that!" Even RottenTomatoes.com (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/iron_man/), which is usually really tough on movies gave it a 95%.
wow you guys got me more excited
LOVED IT!!!! that's all I can really say! This movie puts all the other superhero movies to shame!
i have to wait untill tommorrow them this sucks.
3 hours and 50 minutes until I see Ironman!! I got my tickets yesterday and they said it was a good idea to get them a day ahead because they were 90% sure I wasn't going to get them friday. This is finally it!!!!
just say it and it was great! i didnt think i would like it, but it was good.

This is true, I read somewhere that marvel will pay by their own the next 10 of their movies. With a Iron man movie, a hulk one upcoming and a Thor movie that could be possibly done, should we say that they will introduce Captain america so they would be ready to produce a avengers movie?
I'm leaving in less then an hour to see it. This movie has gotten me more excited then I expected! :stark:
I've just seen it. Man, it's so cool! Probably the best marvel movie yet.
They've handled the Mandarin problem (he's a bit irrealistic) in a clever way, so that they're ready for a "Mandarinesque" sequel.
Don't go away! Remember to wait for the coda scene in the end of the credits!!!!
That film was by far one of the best Marvel film's I've seen - easily better than some of the recent ones (i.e. those that have had their 3rd installment). I was actually impressed that even though some of the actors were rather big names the film itself didn't suffer (as seems to be the case with some of Marvel's other films with big names i.e. Daredevil).
I enjoyed the whole thing and especially liked the way they practically promised War Machine would be in the next one...
I look forward to the Avengers movie too (and Hulk if the rumer of Downey Jr's appearance is true)
saw it pretty good.. most see for any fan. I wait unitll the last scene apear but my friends where all like come on let live it felt like for ever for it, and it was pretty lame he just goes to hes house and nick fury was waiting for him.
Lame? How is that lame? First, we got to see Nick Fury, and second we see that he wants to start the Avengers!
I have to agree with Teancum here... It was awesome! When I saw Samuel Jackson turn around I was yelling out
" Ohhh YAAAA" cause everyone else in the theatre left and didn't realize there was more lol. Guys it is one of the greatest videos I have seen and I even kept my ticket in a small translucent case. Recommend you see it in theatres while you have the chance!!
PS: I can't believe the great scenes they purposefully put in to leave it off with a sequel. (Ie: Rhodes looking at MK 2 suit and saying," Maybe Next Time" )
Nick Fury as one of my favorite actors: Samuel L. Jackson.
But is this the Ultimate universe? Because Nick Fury isn't an Afro-American in the mainstream universe.
Well, the story, armors, etc. aren't entirely based on Earth 616...
I saw it, it was and amazing film, I loved the ending credits scene. The entire film was just as good as Spider-Man 2. Anyway, I believe the Marvel films are meant to be a sort of a mix of the 616 and Ultimate universes.
Just like MUA.
Anyways, I love the way the terrorist group known as the Ten Rings was someone related to Mandarin, due to his ten power rings.
According to www.marveldatabase.com the movies each have their own universe.
i mean the credits took forever!!!! plus i already knew what was gonna happen and my friends and crowd where such a pain in the a$$
Agreed on taking forever to finish. Once you see several company logos, you think it's finished.
Then another crapload of names pop up. I stayed there for like 7 minutes to watch a small 1 minute clip.
I read previously before it came out that rapper Ghostface Killah from the Wu Tang Clan, and actress Hilary Swank would make cameos. Never saw them make the cut, though. Anyone know why?
