Could it be MUA3 or XML3? XML2 came one year after XML1 too.
Or a big DLC expansion for MUA2?
Either DLC OR XML3. MUA3 would be too early imo.
My guess just DLC news.
It just means they're getting a preview to the newest Barbie Dream Date game: The Pony Princess Chronicles.
I doubt besides DLC nothing else unles XMLIII.
It could also be a completely other Marvel game. I read somewhere that there's a new Spidey game coming next year.

I'm keeping my hopes up for XML3 for PC and praying to God that it's not VV that makes it, but rather it's Raven that continues the awesome franchise they built. If VV does do XML3 and it sucks as bad as MUA2, I'm going call Disney and ask them to include Hulk and Wolverine in The Pony Princess Chronicles 2. Don't you think I won't because I'll go there. But come on let's be serious. It's Vicarious Visions we're talking about here and "fucking up" is their "middle name" of sorts. If they can't screw it up, nobody can.
I don't care if VV or Raven makes it. Both did a great job. If VV made it that would be nice cause many great features from MUAII may be in XMLIII.

What great features? 2 shitty costumes per character? The action figure appearances? The god-awful character modeling with crappy proportions? The missing xtremes? The half-assed repetitive fusions that are the sorry excuse for xtreme replacements? The 4 powers and 1 boost per character (come on, less powers and less passives were fantastic, probably their best feature)? I'm not seeing where this is going here but I'd rather Raven make the game and just pretend MUA2 didn't exist thank you very much. I think I've had enough of VV's "features" and "innovations". They really didn't add to the game, they mostly took away and failed hard at attempting to make it look good. I'd say VV is about as useful as a Male thingy-flavored lollipop.

I never really liked extremes and fusions were really fun to use and I enjoyed them. I really don't get what you mean by action fgiure stuff and I think the models were very nice.
Please don't make this another Raven vs. VV vs. N-Space thread. It's just a matter of taste.

Spider-Woman's hips would like a word with you. Well, pretty much any female in the game would like a word with you. On that note, so would Wolverine's stubby legs. And Cable's... ah hell, the models were awful. Seriously Raven did way better with their models and used less resources to do it. Ironman looked like a plastic toy, and some other characters looked like plastic as well.

Iron Man, Cable, and Spider-Woman seemed fine although her hips could have been slightly smaller. The only model they messed up on was Black Widow. Anyway lets change the subject. I'm guessing they mean XMLIII

You can't have your cake and eat it too. If someone has an opinion, there is no reason they can't state it. I think VV sucks balls. That's my opinion. If you don't agree then that's fine.
Hopefully you can get another system like ps3, 360, or maybe even a ps2 so you can share the experience.
And I agree with Burning Rage but every thread mentioning MUAII seems to have fights like that so we shouldn't spam
Let's make a thread called "The official VV vs. Raven fighting thread".

In 2010? Nah, this game will be dead to DLC by then. Fallout 3, Gears of War or Halo 3 this ain't. This game's got one more big pack left in it before people move on -- it's got no replayability because MP is seriously lacking - like with all XML/MUA games.

MP? what those that mean? In that case then im guessing announcing XML3 since they had said before that they are doing it. I think its too early for MUA3.
Multiplayer.

True, it has even less replayability cause it can't be modded.
I think that if they made xml3 (or mua 3) around mua1's play style, with the best parts from xml2 (sheer amounts of powers/passives, bigger mobs of weaker enemies is my preference) i would be happy. one of the other things about xml was that there was a relatively constant level of "power' along the roster. in mua, i'm sorry, but when Chocolate egg hit's the fan, are you really going to call in spiderman and daredevil? i''m much more likely to get people like sentery, thor and miss marvel.
there's my 2 cents worth, anyways.

Told you mistakes like the Games for Windows tag don't happen with a company like Activision. Now I'm torn whether I want it to be the n-space version or the VV version. Sure the VV looks a little better but the characters still look like plastic action figures. Still, I wonder if the DLC will be available for the PC version this time around, or if we'll just have to do it ourselves and cut through company profits again. Either way we'll be able to mod it, and mod it like hell we shall. Now all I want for Christmas is my two front te... err an Alchemy pack that doesn't suck. Preferably in the variety that allows easier exportation of animations, and models with normal and specular maps. Dare to dream I say.
If either version gets released I'd love to have a tool pack that goes along with it. I don't see why it'd be a problem, a lot of other big IPs (Intellectual Properties) like Star Wars have games with official tools. *IF* tools get released along with the game I'm praying for a Vicarious Visions version, because I think there's more potential there to make the game what we wanted it to be. If they don't get released, which is really likely, then I'll take the n-Space version please.
 That is exactly how I feel about a VV vs n-space release
Well and let's be honest. Tools help sell the game and give the developers ideas for add-ons and sequels. Look at games like Unreal for instance. Just the tools alone sold itself to a LOT of people. Including me, I bought Unreal 2004 for the editor to learn off of in class, and bought Unreal 3 specifically for the editor itself, the game was kind of an afterthought. However, I played both games and thought they were actually kind of fun, and that's coming from someone who hates FPS games by nature because they are almost always copy+paste (seriously, almost all FPS games are the same... even Halo, that's my most hated game of all time in all it's overrated glory).
Tools are a fun way to increase the playability of games, as well as help people learn how to actually build games and get a sense of what it takes to actually complete a project as big as a next-gen game. Most people don't realize the scope of a project like that until they actually sit down to do the work themselves and go "wow, I just blew 12 hours on a single character model!". It helps someone appreciate the work a developer actually does too (unless you're like me and calls out VV for it's God awful proportions of models, but at least I have the experience to back it up). Not only that, tools give longevity to a game by nature because people always enjoy new content, and will always come back every time something new comes out. I guarantee if they came out with tools with the game like Unreal does they would sell the hell out of the PC version of the game. Then again, that might be the reason they don't because Microsoft would be butthurt that something outsold it's Crashbox and no longer gets exclusive content (which is pure garbage, I want to kick Bill Gates because of that). But that's a different story for a different day.
But anyway, I'm sure if it was N-space that did the game, it would be MUCH better than it was on the PS2 and the Wii. Why? The PC has a lot more capabilities than the PS2 and Wii, so they won't have to dumb the game down as much. They could probably add more to the game, even the alternate costumes that were left out. However, I don't have much hopes for this because N-space hasn't worked on MUA2 since January.
Dude - watch the language. This is still a family-friendly site.
I'm so going to buy it, VV or n-Space version or not. Ya'll can't stop meh ^^.
I hope it's in stores as early as MUA2 wii was, perhaps my friend at mediamarket can hook me up with a deal ^^
EDIT: I doubt it'll be n-space version, if you visit their site it doesn't say anything about PC games, just console games. Think we might get the VV version IF it's true.
Good news either way, as I'm upgrading my rig this weekend. Whee.
Now I'm a bit miffed that I bought it on 360. Because I would much rather have had a PC version all along. Oh well.. theres always the second hand market in a few months time..
Just remember that ain't official. Dunno about the rest of you, but I'm not convinced until its official.

Rubbish. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 would be rad.
Ain't that rubbish. I'd like to see such a game myself, where you can create a character with the powers of your favorite hero. With the original hero being your trainer who can learn you various stuff. Sounds neat.

I think, if there will be a Marvel Online it would be like we could create our own characters as we want and famous Marvel characters would be NPCs. We could be villian and hero, so that big heroes from the comics could be bosses for villian characters and big villians from the comics could be bosses for a hero character. Oh and we could create similiar characters to the Marvel characters.
That's pretty much almost the same as the stuff I said, but the villain/hero npc thing and choosing sides would be a neat feature. So having either heroes or villains as the trainers for the character to learn new skills or so. I would pay for such a game each month, definetely.
online marvel would be nice and whats brilliant about is marvel's headed for a different spin in the way it does gaming but unlike other online games, how big is the fan base of marvel? are we enough to make it last for more than a year? i suppose the funding of such project would require a big amount and that might mean diverting their financial focus off the offline games like mua3 or xml3, etc. to make way for the online one. but i do like the idea of customisation!
I'd like a Super Smash Bro Brawl but with Marvel characters instead.

It ain't going to happen, they started one, it got canceled, now DC has ripped the idea off completely but added their characters and locations. If you want a Marvel MMO, that's cool, just don't get your hopes up, chances are it's not going to happen.
