Just read a bunch of character bios on the marvel website, and even though its been a few years since I read any comics (I was really only into hulk, wolverine, x-men, and spawn comics) they made alot of the points of the games line up with the comics. But when looking at the list of the pro/anti registration and reading their bios its almost like the game is lined up to close up what they made seem like the comics had already started. I.E. captain america was listed as deceased, but is in the game. I didn't know they were still printing fresh issues of comics like they did 20 years ago when I was really into them. So is the game an extension of current comic happenings, or just a sidestory to wrap up some of their adventures?
The developers have described it more as a "What if?" storyline so it's close to the original but there are differences.
