Avalanche Character Mod


I always felt Avalanche tends to be forgotten by X-Men and Marvel fans and almost seen as lesser compared to other infamous mutants like Blob, Pyro, and Mystique. Heck, even the devs neglected him for XML2! So without further-ado, here is a brand new character mod for the unsung powerhouse of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Dominikos Petrakis, AKA Avalanche :avalanche: ! This mod uses all his XML1 abilities, sounds, and effects, alongside several new abilities, extra skin, and new animations! Must have the OCP installed first. Check it out!


FEATURES:

-New menu break lines and roster callout by Sir Patrick Stewart. They are stored in the avalan_v.zss file, they have the correct hashes so should be simple to add into your xvoice.
-Complete sound pack featuring dialogue and sound effects from XML.
-New icons
-Uses his Modern and Astral Gladiator loading screens from XML
-Physical and radiation resistance. Boss resistances as well
-Several new Melee combat moves
-All abilities have been buffed or reworked with new effects and values
-Uses two secret block abilities
-Now includes his Astral Gladiator skin and hud from XML1
-All five skins are now hex edited and global color fixed
-Uses in game boss hud for modern, x-corps, and freedom force skins
-Herostat has changed


Secret Block Powers:

-Seismic Shockwave: Avalanche will stomp the ground releasing a powerful seismic wave, knocking foes into the air upon impact when pressing $SMASH while blocking.
-Earth Shield: Press $ATTACK while blocking to create a surrounding shield of rock, then release it in a radial blast.

POWERS:

-Seismic Blast: Launches three earthen spikes at the enemy, causing popup on contact.
-Earth Shake: Using both fists, Avalanche smashes the ground causing huge ripples in the earth, knocking enemies off their feet and stunning them. Will also stregthen damage done by the seismic shockwave.
-Earth Slide: Slides on a wave of raised ground, damaging and knocking back enemies.
-Entrapment: Sets a trap for the enemy, encaging them in rock and dealing physical damage.
-Molten Pillars: Avalanche slams his fists into the ground, generating multiple pillars under enemies' feet, popping them into the air and dealing physical damage. Will also increase damage done by Earth Shield.
-Rumble: Shakes the ground, devasting nearby enemies to become disoriented and move slower. Also boosts damage done by Grab Smash.
-Earth Armor: Causes all nearby enemies to attack him for the duration of boost. Reduces damage taken, and reflects all projectiles back at attackers. Level up further to completely negate all damage.
-Quake: Avalanche generates a devastating seismic blast, knocking back all foes and sending debris up in the air only for it to come crashing down upon his victims.

THE MANDARIN BOOSTER





Here is the first official booster for Iron Man's arch rival, The Mandarin! The aim of this booster is to make Mandarin truly feel like his NPC boss became unlockable with all his powers but has extra abilities, and this booster certainly provides that. There's a lot of good stuff here, featuring new abilities, buffed abilities, and an extra skin. This mod is intended as a booster for Outsider's Mandarin character mod. Check it out!



FEATURES:

-New and complete voice pack with all unused lines in the boss file, custom voice lines made from NPC dialogue, grunts, xtreme call out, menu break lines, and roster callout by Scott MacDonald
-A few new power animations
-Uses four secret block powers
-Uses his two cut boss abilities that still remained in his file, so I restored them in a functional way
-New melee combat animations to reflect his martial artist expertise
-Now has flight and custom whirlwind effect and sounds I put together
-Now uses his PS2 retro red robes skin and has his NPC HUD recolored to match this skin
-New upgragable grab smash power
-Herostat has changed (also added a 1.05 scale_factor value)


Secret Block Powers:

Teleport (changed sounds and now uses teleport effects used during boss battle)- Using advanced Makluan technology hidden on his person, Mandarin can teleport by pressing $SMASH while blocking.

Resurrect- Much to his chagrin, Mandarin knows he can not defeat the Masters of Evil on his own. Using the ^Remaker ring, Mandarin restores the molecules in his incompetent allies to full health. Press $ATTACK while blocking to ^resurrect fallen allies.

Restoration- Using the ^Remaker and ^Lightning rings, Mandarin boosts his allies fighting potential by healing their wounds and granting them electric damage. Press $MOVE while blocking to support your piteous allies.

The Nightbringer (restored boss Power)- Much like his personality, Mandarin's abilities cast an ominous shadow over the world. Press $GUARD while blocking to confound The Mandarin's victims under the power of the ^Black ^Light ring.


POWERS:

Poison Cloud (buffed to included knockback and replaced the knockback charge)-Press $SMASH to use Mandarin's ^Remaker ring. This ring will rearrange atoms to create poisonous gases in the air that attack enemies for a time and blast them all away.

Impact Beam (relatively unchanged)-Using his ^Influence ring, Mandarin fires an intense beam of energy, causing popup and knockback. Will also increase potency of his ^Poison ^Cloud ability.

Levitation (completely reworked. Now is the same ability as Mephisto's)-Using his ^Daimonic ring, Mandarin uses white light from the electro-magnetic spectrum to lift and crush enemies.

Whirlwind Vortex (now uses same animation as in game boss)-Using his ^Spin ring, Mandarin accelerates time and creates a fierce whirlwind that traps enemies in its' vortex.

Ice Blast (render fx added, ice will no longer shatter upon inflicted damage)-Using his ^Zero ring, Mandarin unleashes a beam from the icy heart of outer space. Freezes multiple enemies instantly, and for a time.

Star Flame (reworked, now uses same effects as boss)-Using his ^Incandescence ring, Mandarin summons the scorched heart of a star, and hurls a charged fire beam, piercing foes and igniting them upon impact.

Psychic Shift (effect change)- Using ^The ^Liar ring, Mandarin projects a short-range psionic beam that mentally controls the thoughts and actions of an enemy for a time.

Electro-Blast (restored boss power)-Using his ^Lightning ring, Mandarin discharges high amounts of electricity around himself and his surroundings. Will further increase his ^Restoration ability. Upon his victims, unleash a deadly spread of continuous electric bolts.  $PT_HOLD

Black Light (unchanged)-Using his ^Nightbringer ring, Mandarin releases malleable darkness around himself, dealing damage to all enemies within radius over time. The Darkforce also reduces damage taken by 25%.

Power of the Mandarin (buffed Xtreme)- Using his ^Spectral ring, Mandarin releases powerful disintegration beams all over the area, followed by a devastating radial blast. The blast destroys the atoms and molecules of all enemies, annihilating them

REDUCTIONS:
As this is an ambitious booster, I cut triggers where I could to remove bloating.

Dominance has been removed
Trimmed down Poison Cloud
Greatly simplified Teleport (can only teleport backwards as a means of escape, no longer can teleport allies).
Removed shared lightning bolt for allies

Professor Charles Xavier Booster



Here is a booster for a character that doesn't have very many but deserves the attention, so here is my take on Professor Charles Xavier :xavier: , the leader and mentor of the X-Men. The goal of this booster is to combine his moveset and powers from XML1 with his XML2 counterpart. There's a lot of good stuff here, featuring new abilities, old abilities, and more skins. This mod is intended as a booster for the OCP Xavier. Check it out!



FEATURES:

-New menu break lines (replaced the ones out of context for MUA). They are stored in the profx_v.zss file, simply replace the ones in your xvoice.
-Combined sound pack featuring dialogue and sound effects from both XML games
-Renumbered icons
-%100 mental dmg immunity
-Melee combat trail
-Almost all effects have been recolored to better match the color scheme of his XML1 powers
-Psychic Shock is now a hidden grab power, but will only resurrect allies
-New xtreme is Psychic Maelstrom (XML1 power) but retains all benefits of previous version of Psychic Shock
-Now has custom trip, knockback, and grab smash powers....all upgragable
-Psychic Cleave and Crushing Ego have been buffed. Psychic Storm has been removed alltogether (I never understood why Xavier had lightning powers in XML2)
-Uses Melee combat moveset, and menu idle from XML1 Astral Gladiator as the new menu idle and in game idle
-3 new skins and huds by BaconWizard17, one replaces Astral Gladiator from the OCP
-All huds have been changed from the OCP
-Herostat has changed

NEW POWERS:

-Astral Radiance (replaces Befuddle from OCP)- "Outward psionic blast trips foes and stuns upon impact. Moreover, Professor Xavier will further hone his psionic knockback power"
-Psychic Hammer (XML1 Power)- "Focuses his psychic power in a single point on his opponent, blasting them away"
-Psychic Blast (XML1 Power)- "Professor X channels his psionic might in a radial blast, knocking back all enemies caught in the wave"
-Cerebral Penance- "Concentrated psychic beam pierces opponents' minds, punishing and stunning them. Additionally stregthens Professor Xavier's mental grab power"

The Acolytes



Debuting in 1991, The Acolytes :beetle:  are a group of powerful mutants that revere and serve Magneto. Although changing membership throughout the years, The Acolytes almost always are portrayed as the loyal followers of Magneto and protectors of Genosha. Reintroduced in X-Men Legends, the Acolytes are once again portrayed as members of the Brotherhood of Mutants honorbound to Magneto and his ideal of Homosuperiority. They fail to appear in the sequel, but instead two skins reappear as enemies ranamed as the Shock Trooper and Shock Captain. I believe they are absent by name due to Apocalypse himself. During the seige of Genosha, the Acolytes undoubtedly aided in the defense of the island nation alognside the Brotherhood, but were ultimately defeated. As a result, Mr. Sinister was free to experiment and test on the Genoshan mutants, most likely including the Acolytes and forcing them to join Apocalypse's army. With Apocalypse defeated and Genosha liberated, the Acolytes have returned to their master's side and are ready to aid him in defeating the Masters of Evil! This mod brings the abilities of the three Acolyte minions from XML1 and combines them into one.

FEATURES:
-6 powers, 2 boosts, and an Xtreme.
-3 hidden powers that can activate while blocking.
-Upgradable grabsmash.
-Ability of mental, physical, and energy resistances.
-Uses all 9 variations of the Acolyte skins.
-9 hex-edited skins, 3 HUDs, icons, 1 loading screen, 1 mannequin, and sound/voice file.
-Uses official number #251.

MOVESET:
1. Arc Blast: Charges an energy blast in both hands that will stun foes upon impact. (Acolyte Master power).
2. Ground Blast: Delivers a supercharged punch to the ground, blasting all enemies away. Will also increase damage done by grab smash. (Acolyte Warrior power).
3. Sweeping Arc Blast: Discharges a powerful blast sweeping in a 90 degree arc, tripping foes. (Acolyte Master power).
4. Critical Smash : Concentrates a large amount of energy in their right hand, inflicting massive physical damage on their pitiful foes. (Acolyte Warrior power).
5. Seismic Wave: Utilizing training from fellow Brotherhood member Avalanche, the Acolytes smash the ground, releasing an earth blast deeling radial damage towards enemies and blasting them into the air.
6. Mental Beam: Discharges a quick but traumatic blast of mental damage, blasting enemies away and damaging their minds. (Acolyte Adept power).
7. (Boost) Comradery : The Acolytes are steadfast loyal to each other, and expect the same from their new begrudging allies. Shares their mutant ability with the team to reduce incoming damage and deflects all projectiles. Will also add health to resurrection ability.
8. (Boost) Mutant Mastery : Channels their mutant ability inwards, energizing their suit and adding electricity damage to their melee combat. Will also boost stats of a summoned Acolyte.
9. (Xtreme) Magneto's Will: Sworn loyal to Magneto, The Acolytes release a massive burst of radial energy, devastating their pitiful adversaries in the name of their master.

Blocking Abilites:
1. Teleport - The Acolytes have various mutant powers they use to better serve Magneto, The Acolytes can teleport by pressing $SMASH while blocking. (Acolyte Adept power).
2. Revive - The Acolytes will fight until their last breath and will not tolerate any weakness from their allies. Press $ATTACK while blocking to resurrect fallen allies. (Acolyte Adept power).
3. Brotherhood of Evil - There is stregth in unity. The Acolytes are stronger together when fighting as one. Press $MOVE while blocking to summon an Acolyte to aid in battle.

Bonus:
* includes roster call out by Sir Patrick Stewart and menu break lines. Extra sounds are in the acodlc_v.zss file with correct hashes. Simply drag them into your xvoice_v.zss file and it should work.

Note :
* Mannequin will clash at #251 with Baron Mordo, Kingpin, and Flemma.

:magneto: MAGNETO BOOSTER :magneto:

As we approach the 20th anniversary of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I thought I'd bring something special to the community, my love letter to one of the few characters who appeared in all 5 games of the X-Men Legends and MUA franchise, the Master of Magnetism himself, Magneto. This booster features a partially customizable experience, as it incorporates his animated cape from XML1, or players can replace that with hard cape skins. Also features 3 full and complete voice packs featuring the talents of Tony Jay (XML1), Richard Green (XML2 & MUA), and Tom Kane (MUA3). Additionally brings powers directly taken or inspired by all 5 of his appearances. Features full compatibility with the EXG and my playable Acolyte mod. Features parts of MUALover's and Outsider's Magneto boosters. Requires the OCP to use.


FEATURES:

-New menu break lines for all three voice actors. Also includes Richard Green's menu breaks from XML2 if you want to swap them. All three include a menu break line referencing Professor Xavier (fun nod to my Xavier booster referencing Magneto!)
-Includes roster callout by Sir Patrick Stewart
-Combined sound pack featuring dialogue and sound effects from both XML games, MUA1, MUA2, and new sounds I added
-New icons and 2 loading screens
-100% mental dmg immunity and 70% Energy resistance
-Many new animations, also removed all of Invisible Woman's animations from his moveset so he no longer has feminine moves
-Several new effects and recolors
-Now has two grabsmashes
-Xtreme callouts for Tom Kane and Richard Green, additional files in the sound folders to reflect their respective callouts (I couldn't really work one in for Tony Jay)
-Now has custom trip, knockback, stun, melee finish, and grab smash powers (custom stun will freeze enemies␄ in a metal shell, including shielded enemies like the AIM Agents)
-Uses Melee combat moveset, and idle from XML1 boss
-Flight now deflects projectiles and makes Magneto immune to damage
-2 new skins and huds for his heroic clone known as Joseph and classic skin with the shadow face
-Now has knockback immunity
-Herostat has changed
-Tom Kane voicepack was made from scratch using dialogue from MUA3 and MVC3. Richard Green features additional dialogue from XML2. I added and reorganized to Enigma's XML1 Tony Jay voicepack, with additional dialogue from XML1 cutscenes
-Summoned Acolyte will be of 2 random skins of the Acolyte Masters from XML1. Will have two unique animations different from Magneto and one unique voice line
-Two new Joseph huds, with the extra one in the extra files


TALENTS:

Master's Hand: Magneto will summon metallic debris from beneath an enemy, immediately followed by a magnetic explosion when pressing $SMASH while blocking (Inspired by MUA2)
Magneto's Acolytes :beetle: :Press $MOVE while blocking and Magneto will summon one of his loyal Acolytes to assist him in battle
Metallic Mayhem: Press $ATTACK while blocking to create a gravity well, sucking enemies and debris towards him, then release it in a massive radial blast. (Inspired by XML1)
EMP Wave: Press $GUARD while blocking to detonate an EMP blast, stunning the victim and forcibly attracting enemies to their location (Inspired by XML2)
Magnetic Strike: Press $MOVE while grabbing an enemy to activate secondary grab smash. Magneto will pop an enemy up into the air followed by a quick knockback strike
Master's Power: Magneto's helmet protects from his psychic attacks, granting him 100% $DMG_MENTAL immunity, while his magnetic powers help repel a certain amount of $DMG_ENERGY



POWERS:

-Magnetic Hold -(inspired by XML1) "Magneto discharges highly concentrated energy from his hands that cripples and magnetically holds all enemies in his path. Will also strengthen damage done by Metallic Mayhem"
-Magnetic Freeze (inspired by XML2)- "A beam of pure magnetic energy that will encase the enemy in metal upon impact. Will also strengthen damage done by the EMP Pulse"
-Iron Grasp (inspired by MUA3)- "Magneto uses his magnetic powers to grab enemies and crush them, before throwing them back on the ground resulting in a massive radial blast. Will also increase damage done the Master's Hand"
-Shockwaves (MUA Power)- "A concussive blast of magnetic energy that radiates in front of Magneto."
-Magnetic Toss (inspired by XML2)- "Magneto hurls several piercing metallic shrapnel at foes. Will also stregthen stats of the Summoned Acolytes"
-Deadly Debris (inspired by MUA3)- Magneto hurls several chunks of random debris at his enemies.
-Magnetic Shield (MUA Power/inspired by XML1)- A protective shield surrounds Magneto consisting of magnetic energy. While in his shield, Magneto is impervious to all damage.  Shield has a chance to deflect projectiles
-(Xtreme) Magnetic Tempest (MUA Power/inspired by XML2)- Magneto causes a magnetic storm and summons pieces of metal that rain down on his enemies. Further releasing a massive burst of magnetic energy, crushing surrounding foes. His attack also increases $DMG inflicted by other Extreme attacks.

BUGS:
-Not really a bug but a minor inconvenience. I could not figure out how to display the animated cape in the CSS without it appearing on Xorn or Joseph. If anyone can help, reach out to me on discord!

-Another minor thing is when the summoned Acolyte expires, sometimes they will reappear with Magneto's cape and all his animations. This doesn't always happen and I'm not sure what causes that. It doesn't cause any gameplay issues I could identify. So just think of it as a more powerful Acolyte arriving when/if that happens lol!
